If I could save one from that list it would probably be Robertson. Maybe Cojoe next. I could see all of those guys being productive college players but losing them doesn’t change our roster outlook too significantly.
This roster is in a good place
With the type of talent they are bringing in from the high school ranks... they are raising the floors so projects like Cojoe have to go elsewhere to get significant PT.. Imagine if they close on Fasusi and Rodgers this cycle.. and you already know they are heavy into the best looking OT in '26.. these guys are bluechips.. still can redshirt a season and learn but their floors are higher than the strohs, cojoes of the world at OT

Were people trying to drum up rumors of Flood leaving? To me, that's what the bolded parts seem to imply. I don't remember talk of that, though.
Wasn't he linked to some of the openings after the season finished? Syracuse, Duke?

Is Hawkins that good?

CFB-graphs says its through week 10 but Parker said it's actually though end of reg season and numbers look close-ish to me for Ewers on attempt #
Ewers takes more sacks than most do pressure wise for whatever reason, which makes the OL look even worse. saw some stat last year around this but can't find it again (basically the pressure:sack ratio)
check his sack % vs someone like Penix, Nix, Beck, etc or even guys like Alan Bowman or Kyle McCord
CFB-graphs is a 10/10 option for some of these advanced stats stuff. here's hoping we see Quinn air it out way more in 2024.
he isn't on there but if you want to know just how absolutely horrible A&M was last year, Conner Weigman faced pressure on 40.2% of his dropbacks. Max Johnson somehow had an even higher pressure rate (44.7%) - and both had a sack % rate lower than Ewers.
when Quinn came back from his injury that he suffered vs UH.. he was quick to get down and take a sack without being brought to the ground by a defender. He wasn't fully recovered imo, so he wasn't going to try and extend a play.

I wouldn't be surprised by the S out of Pearland or wherever. Same for Stewart. More than 2 or 3 before June would kind of surprise me though.
thinking the kid from Hitchcock might commit soon too

Just want to give you some Kudos for your behavior in responses over at the OTF boards @closetojumping
was expecting you to jump down on some of those posters...

I was a freshman in high school that year. My computer science teacher was a Texas XC alum and avid recruiting follower. I was in his class that morning and he turned to me said "Perriloux signed with LSU. Now we're stuck with this fucking 2A quarterback." 😂
which teacher was this.. @satyanash or @6th Street ??

Lacy visiting Auburn today.
hasn't every first commit in a class under Sark end up decommitting or flipping elsewhere?

well i'm bummed about Mitchell.. I thought we had a really good player who had some rough edges to smooth out.. I mean UGA was trying to get him to flip all the way to signing day.
but if he doesn't put in the hard work and sacrifice.. (weight is just too much). so long

on OTF this morning.. Bobby was talking about the Proctor situation..where it looks he will be portaling back to Alabama next month.. He said he has a source that said don't be surprised if Caleb Downs does the same thing. Said that Bama has gotten their NIL together, they were used to get players lower because of the Saban factor. They understand it's not like that anymore, so they have people who stepped up.
Says tosu NIL is ok but it's not as good as some would think.
Lastly, he said if Caleb does return, there will have to be a new rule where you can portal back but you have to sit a year.

What did that asshole's old handle used to be? And was I gone when that pic got posted? I think I came back at some point and all hell had broken loose. Carl was an insider with like 2000 rep points. CF's handle had been changed, Sydney's posting photos of me, and the regulars on this board are praising Tom Herman as a surprise candidate for coach of the year heading into 2020. It was absurd.
His old handle was Casual Encounter, and yes you were gone.. but Sydney shared the pic to ensure us you were ok..
I still remember when you took a previous hiatus.. you left the board with Sydney and Carl as our insiders.. You returned and scolded us for giving both Sydney and Carl so many rep points... like you were the boards version of Moses who damn us for celebrating our golden calves while you were gone and threw the tablet on us..
Terrific times..

I may have told this at some point, I can’t remember. I am pretty sure @HenryJames was there.
We all met up in Austin for drinks and dinner one weekend during the early, happy days of the Barking Carnival efforts. Probably 8-10 of us. Anyway, we’re bullshitting at dinner and at some point, for whatever reason, height comes up. Someone asks me how tall I am and I say “6’2”” because, you know, that’s like factually correct and shit.
Scipio can’t believe it, overhearing the conversation. “No way you’re 6’2”. I’m 6’2”. “ I say, cool, good for you, buddy. He still can’t accept it, bizarrely. It bothers the guy and finally he basically challenges me to a measurement. I would be mocking people having this conversation if I were seated near them and witnessing it.
Anyway, I eventually capitulate to make it all go away and we stand back to back, in which the impartial judges begrudgingly informed Scipio that, in fact, he might not be fully 6’2”. He refused to believe it. To this day, I don’t know what in the fuck was going on there in his head, but for sure, physical dimensions are a part of his ego.
Outside of high school sports, that is the only time my height ever proved crucial, winning that height contest in my early 30’s.
Thought you were 5'8 from the Pic of you with Sydney.. The one that @Coelenterate FuccboiFuccboi uses as his avatar

I'm honestly shocked Murray isn't a better coach and recruiter. I'm glad he's not but it's a bit surprising to me.
Don't tell sooner fans that.. Barnes, Sawchuk and....TATUM (the #1 RB) show that he is elite.. or so they have told me many times on twitter

Paul Wadlington is also becoming a bit of a blowhard. Compared to Bobby and Gerry, Paul brings very little, if anything to the table.
the last time or towards the last time of Bobby doing a live with Paul.. you could tell Bobby was trying to reel him in when he would go on rants.. I always enjoyed Paul going solo.. still will be purchasing his annual Thinking Texas (or whatever it's called) Football season preview mag

Man, the Brocks were so damn overrated out of high school.
Tommy wasn't.. he was dominating camps prior to his injury.. his lil bro is a different story though.. but he shot up the rankings and was the #1 Center in the country (lol)

Ok. Share with me what I’m missing from OTF podcasts. Who are the regulars that are “must listens”?
you can't be serious, they bring in terrific guests.. they just had Shaun Rodgers on there Friday..
Gerry is in the mix with recruiting news daily, he's actually on the road making visits.
Rod show with CJ and Erin is entertaining to since they deep dive on the Xs and Os..
But I get it, Eric.. your shows are so much better on IT.. clearly, the numbers say so 🙄

I enjoy Wadlington’s content, Kelsons insights (better than Babers’), and Boyd is fine bouncing ideas with someone else. For a host, I like the IT guy over the OTF older guy. JMO. I am unlikely to listen to a podcast with just Justin, Nahlin and “the coach”.sup Nahlin

Biggest difference to me in regards to OTF, is that they don't sit around BSing each other on how their day was going or what they did the past weekend.. Bobby and Gerry say a quick hello from wherever and then start talking about recruiting/football updates immediately. They snag your attention off the bat.. and the show being just over an hour keeps it fresh.

I thought we didn’t want Marcus Harris??
However Sark does.. loves keeping that pipeline to CA open
Also, seeing Lance Jackson hit the camps.. he's going to shoot up the rankings everytime they do an update. Kudos to the staff for getting him on board early, he looks like a true difference maker

Ever since the split I haven't watched one IT video.. hell i don't even watch much of the On3 stuff including their version of Pate guy.
I feel bad for the other streaming youtube live show.. Texas Sports Unfiltered.. they are entertaining and I switch to them once OTF signs off
