  1. For me this could be anecdotal. I lived in New Mexico for about 15 years. My parents and my brother still live there. I have no desire to go back. The best way to describe it is that the state sucks the life out of you. It is really hard to escape your past. I would never recommend young people to move there either. If your committed to the outdoors and that will be a large part of your new life you will be pleased with the recreational activities. If you plan to live in the cities and try to enjoy that kind of life, you might end up painfully bored. Only so many blue corn enchiladas one can eat. It does have a unique history and places and things that are completely different from the Texas experience but even with that you could get tapped out quickly. If you are looking for higher elevations (7000 ft elevation) with nice summers and skiing in the winter, Pinetop has Sunrise and flagstaff has Snow Bowl. A little lower and Durango has a lot of the same things nearby.
  2. Can you add a frosted flake or a corn flake next to them if they are not solid or gonna be processed?
  3. I had one and it was great. I tripped and fell with my boy in it and he was completely stable and didn't go flying out or anything. It was fucking embarrassing as hell though.
  4. They all look like fucking Hobbits next to Murphy.
  5. Those will be some great reads... and probably intimidate myself out of it.
  6. My dream hike is the Wonderland around Mt. Rainier. My wife is going to Japan for a month next year with her mom. My payback might have to be this backpacking trip.
  7. I camped near the beach there... went into the monarch butterfly thingy. No monarchs at that time sadly. That's my contribution.
  8. They don't call it the Land of Entrapment for nothing.
  9. I lived right off of this street in Albuquerque.
  10. Maybe the recruits can do it the old fashioned way.... in a hot tub with a news crew.
  11. If I had my way, I would get a place in Eatonville. Not an amazing place but I LOVE Mt Rainier. My favorite park by a mile and Eatonville is close enough to civilization and just far away enough to the park to make regular trips to it. If that is too far, Puyallup is an alternative.
  12. West Seattle was where I stayed last. Cool area, nice neighborhoods, bars, restaurants, shops, and target.
  13. SIAP but 247 updated their rankings recently https://247sports.com/Season/2024-Football/RecruitRankings/?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool/
  14. It won't be dark until like 10 there so a drive to hood River might be a good little afternoon thing. Plenty of breweries and nice walking around.
  15. "Great evaluation by Jimbo and company. Tackling machine that just started playing football five years ago and runs a 12.6 100 meters".
  16. In Soviet Station, apartments own you.
  17. The 45 to 47 year old demographic on here gets this reference.
  18. I am not sure which of the On Texas guys said it but Corch Samples ideally likes his guys to have their recruitment wrapped up before the season so they can focus on being part of the team. I don't know how true this is and have seen guys like Rakestraw play out their recruitment late. But if their is something to that then maybe Simmons is good to commit soon.
  19. Ed O is available. Tanned and rested. And ready to bed the sexiest sheep around aggy land.
  20. Yeah we got that down. It was our fault for not knowing that was potentially gonna be a problem. In addition we were really early in our boys autism journey, learning what would trigger him and what he finds stimulating.
  21. I couldn't tell you when and why but it was a lot of jets the day we were out there. No big deal in the grand scheme of things as overall we have a great time each trip.
  22. I was turned off by the low flying jets. It's spectacular to see them flying over but it got old when you are trying to relax on a beach and having to cover a toddlers ears.
