  1. They're both in the tech sector. Apple's a consumer electronic company. Nvidia's a semiconductor company. Exxon and ETP are both in the oil and gas sector. Exxon's the world's largest integrated energy firm. ETP is a midstream operator. I'm in finance, not energy. The label "oil and gas firm" has a distinct standard that will make you look like a first day hire if used in the wrong way. I'm surprised at the blowback and unwillingness to acknowledge an innocent misconception as if that discredits whatever point you're trying to make.
  2. See above. Exxon is an O&G firm. Energy Transfer Partners is a midstream firm. Big difference. You wouldn't say Apple and Nvidia are the same firm.
  3. They're part of the oil and gas industry but they're not an oil and gas firm. They own the infrastructure for and oversee the transport of oil and gas between the producers and the end users- they're a midstream company. Similar wording but there's an important distinction.
  4. what are your recommendations on some of the better books?
  5. Ayden Ames is making mental errors even freshmen shouldn't be making. on defense alone there's identifying the front row setter, setting up off your block... all three sets. Those are easily corrected. Then there's the harder stuff like recognizing where the sets are going and physically closing out. I didn't pay attention to her too much on offense but nothing glaring stood out to me there. I think she just needs confidence and reps with Ella.

  10. you've been there so you've magically absorbed all knowledge of their ownership structure yet somehow missed the basic fact that private and public ownership are mutually exclusive. brilliant.
  11. you have three people telling you how you're wrong but go ahead and keep ignoring it.
  12. that makes absolutely no sense. if you're private you're private. if you're public you're public.
  13. yes. you're a terrible person. seriously though you can usually tell whether or not they're going to have an accent by the way they look.
  14. just made a new gif for this.
  15. oh shoot.
  16. That happens everywhere in every city with any type of proposed change. But things get done in other cities. The question should be "why is it different in Austin?" Look I appreciate the work you put in, but you have a severe disdain for the citizens of the city you're trying to improve.
  17. That sounds fun but me and a bow at night? I'll be lucky to hit the hog.
  18. you come up with plan. council says no. you think of another plan. city says yes, it goes on ballot. is that how it works?
  19. who is "we" and why is there a disconnect between you and the council?
  20. If that forces Wilson to drop their prices I wouldn't be mad.
  21. Respectfully - Do you realize how delusional that sounds? I have a plan for my kids to make the NBA but they can't shoot, dribble, or rebound. An effective plan takes into account the capabilities of those involved given their assets. A great plan maximizes their efficiency. I can't think of the last effective plan to come from the CoA, much less the last great plan.
  22. beaut of a changeup there jacob.
  23. thanks. i'd forgotten about that.
  24. i like how when he's missing he's missing in the same places.
