  1. An impeachment inquiry will hopefully be much more effective in consolidating all of the evidence and the crimes into one coherent message. Having investigations going on in separate committees makes it more difficult for voters to follow.
  2. Yes. I guess that's basically where we are now, but for some reason the Ds don't want to call it that.
  3. You just have to laugh at the Ds dancing around calling it an inquiry. Regardless, good for them for going on offense. Hope they keep it up.
  4. Thanks for the info, Twice. I was thinking specifically about Mueller's comments in his report about various witnesses being less than cooperative. I believe there was even some destruction of evidence. Seems like there might be some opportunities there to bolster the case against Trump.
  5. We'll see what happens!
  6. Not a lawyer, so I don't know the answer to this, but I fully expect DOTUS to try to fight discovery during the impeachment inquiry, if it happens. Based on what I've read about it, the Judiciary Committee would have a bit more authority to call witnesses, etc. I don't know how much more. Would those subpoenas have to go through the courts also?
  7. November '20 may as well be 10 years in the future. Rs and their Russian buddies are going to cheat like hell, just like in '16. Defeating him at the ballot box is no certainty. There is one constitutional action that the Ds can take right now, and they should do it. I think the future of the Republic is worth cancelling a 6-week recess. I'll believe the financial evidence when I see it. Maybe it materializes, and maybe it doesn't. Any president before Trump would have been removed for what's in the Mueller report. Not impeaching is normalizing that behavior.
  8. Nancy's had at least a couple of good jumping off points for starting impeachment hearings, but she won't jump. The 47 day recess won't help any momentum that the Ds currently have.
  9. Nadler/Cummings/Pelosi/Schiff all looked whipped in the press conference on Wednesday. They don't appear to have any fight left in them.
  10. I think most voting machines are offline. They may be referring to voter registration databases. However, sounds like the Russians may have their eye on voting machines themselves.
  11. But the tarmac?!1one
  12. ^ As opposed to the good ole USA.
  13. Even Schiff and Lieu were sounding tepid in sound bites I heard this afternoon. Feels like every last one of them is complicit.
  14. That's a shame. I have a feeling her denials of guilt won't fly like Cheeto's denials.
  15. Studio 54 Wars were no joke.
  16. Toothless better start shopping for another garage to rent...
  17. Sadly, I think most Rs (esp. Senators) think of it as a game. They don't really worry about anything but maintaining power and keeping the flow of money going. Keep the browns out of the USA and keep the undesirables on the other side of town.
  18. Yep. We're through the looking glass, and there's no turning back -- at least not easily. Full blow traitors carrying out their actions in plain view.
  19. Yep. At best, she's playing prevent defense and abrogating the House's constitutional duty to hold the President accountable.
  20. It's infuriating.
  21. Now let's take a 6-week recess to kill all momentum.
  22. 3M views of that Trump tweet in 5 minutes. He will win the PR battle if the Ds don't impeach.
