  1. 6-6 for the year. 3-2 in NFL 3-4 college. Up 1/2 unit. I would like to add that Auburn, their coach and their QB can suck my dick after that OU debacle a few weeks ago. I like to find the games where it is pretty obvious whether a team will score 3 times in a row. To me, that was obvious. Neither of them were going to score 3 times in a row. I didn't factor in how stupid the HC and QB were singularly, much less together. Current plays this week. (10/12 games) Oregon +3' (to win 1.5 units) MSU/UGA: 1H under 30 (to win 1.5 units) FLA/Tenn: 1H under 29' (to win 1 unit) Wash/Iowa: game under 42 (to win 1.5 units) NFL: Bears ML (to win 1.5 units)
  2. Once read a review that said, "Sometimes she sings like she is in love with her own voice, but who could blame her" Another said, "She sings like an angel with hell-scorched wings"

    JD Souther

https://variety.com/2024/music/obituaries-people-news/jd-souther-dead-eagles-new-kid-in-town-1236148047/ Damn. Was going to see him this fall with Karla Bonoff. Lots of great song credits.
  4. Every Replacements fan needs to read this book. Strike that...every rock music fan needs to read this book. Has a TON about the Replacements but is really about the building of the Minneapolis music scene from the buy who was a driving force and right in the middle of it all, Peter Jesperson. https://www.amazon.com/Euphoric-Recall-Producer-Executive-Tastemaker/dp/1681342715
  5. @squib Where does this amp currently live?
  6. All of the reviews I've seen keep saying what a great guitar this is.
  7. I think Sierra is going for the Roni Stoneman look from HeeHaw. I really like $1 Bill Bar and American Dreamin'. Jury is still out on this cover of Willin'.
  8. Look up Paula White and you be the judge. Fucker ruined The Babys and Journey and constantly fighting Neil Schon. But he lost Tane Cain and ended up with Paul White so I guess he gets what he deserves.
  9. Are we not going to mention Jonathan Cain's nutcase wife?
  10. On the steel, post pics here and you will get a good idea of what is it worth. https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewforum.php?f=5
  11. Thanks....I'm in Atlanta, GA.
  12. Great info. Thanks. I'm using a Boss Katana so no effects loop. I may try that pedal. You are right....clean and lots of headroom are the amps for pedal steel.
  13. It's a GFI. 10 string, E9. 3 pedals, 4 knee levers. Really good starter setup. I'm playing it through a Katana 50. Light and clean tone and good enough until I get a lot better.
  14. Yep. I bought one two years ago but really putting time in on it. Starting to play out as backing at an open mic night. Just sit in with everyone who will let me.
  15. Equalizer pedal. Any experience with the Boss or MXR versions? I have a Gretsch with a P90 and a new TV Jones filtertron. I think the problem is actually a shitty ton pot but I just can't get any highs. Anyone else use these or any other equalizer on their board.
  16. Would that work to monitor a pedal steel. Steel, to volume pedal to that, to amp? Would I need to put an IR loader before it or could I just go straight to the amp and monitor from this pedal?
  17. I went to Cumberland Heights in Nashville. If I had to go back to treatment, I would head my ass right back there. They have a fantastic family program and an incredible aftercare program as well. Also, at least for me, it was a great idea to get far away from home.
  18. https://www.pbs.org/video/sheryl-crow-and-jason-isbell-sechzs/ Isbell and Crow interview and playing. Interesting watch
  19. Interesting interview with Sturgill.
  20. Cindy Walker needs to be in the conversation if just considering song writers and not artist/performers. More quality than Guy Clark. Cherokee Maiden, You Don't Know Me, Bubbles in my Beer, Dream Baby, Sugar Moon.

    Guitar tuning

Try the Peterson acoustic or the James Taylor. The Taylor tuning flattens all strings but the low E and A are more flattened than the other strings.

    Guitar tuning

I've messed with sweetened tunings using a Peterson tuner that has a tons of different tunings. Your post really doesn't mentioned sweetened tunings, but I guess your idea is just a different sweetened tuning. The James Taylor tuning seems to be actually pretty close to what you do. Someone with a better ear than my dead ears can discern...my G strings almost always sound out of tune. To me, most of them sound better up the neck, but the open chords sound off. Rhett Shull has a decent video about Peterson's sweetened tunings.
  23. Not really guitar but sort of guitar related. I haven't seen anyone talk about the Moises software. You load a song into it and it separates the tracks. Free version, you can do 5 songs a month and it is limited on how many tracks you can split out. There is a premium and pro package as well; around $5 and $25 per month with different options. Talk about tons of fun. Anyone else messed with it? It not only gives you the separate tracks that you can mute, raise or the lower the volume of individual tracks, but is has a chord mod which does a very good job of telling you what chord is being played.
  24. Ain't that the fuckin' truth.
