  1. Just got a new deer lease with a bit of a hog problem. Any recs for something semi auto to kill pigs in volume? I am a hunter more than a gun guy and my only rifle as of now is a model 70 300 win mag.
  2. This. Saw very few Baylor fans at the game.
  3. Ugh, so tragic. I saw a blurb in the article that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. I was a cowboy, and remember almost falling asleep at the wheel on the way back from one of these retreats. Not a csb
  4. 1) Pick out the car you want 2) Do some price research on autotrader, NADA, and your local dealer's websites 3) Figure out fair price for the car you want 4) Find the car at a local dealer 5) Go in and offer $500 less than the fair price you determined 6) Dealer will probably take your offer 7) ???????? Profit. People make buying cars way too complicated.
  5. not as much as you'd think...maybe 1-2k
  6. Looks good @Mortimer My 2 cents: I don't think your last brisket turned out dry because you trimmed it too much. Dry usually means you didn't cook it long enough. The thermometer probes are good for tracking your progress on the cook, but don't rely on it to decide when your brisket is actually done. It's done when it probes like butter in the flat (check more than one spot). Personally, I trim my briskets quite a bit, and they always turn out moist. Leaving the fat cap in tact on the point is just going to make the cook take longer.
  7. The cops said they'd send it over to the DA, but that it was a long shot because you can't really prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the accident caused the miscarriage. Still dealing with all the insurance b.s. Got a good lawyer though.
  8. Thanks guys. It was absolutely brutal, but things are looking up.
  9. I honestly thought I'd killed the guy when it first happened. It was a really awful deal. My pregnant wife was in the front seat, and we lost the baby as a result.
  10. That’s what she said, and it got me into trouble
  11. I actually never spoke to him because I was worried I'd lose my temper and hit him. It was satisfying seeing the cops take him to jail for reckless driving after watching the dash cam footage.
  12. This brisket was pretty damn good. As you can see, I lost some of the rub when I wrapped/unwrapped the brisket. Any tips for avoiding that? Cooked on a stick burner with a temp probe
  13. Totaled my truck in January because some asshole did this right in front of me. Actually got it on my dash cam:
  14. Met a buddy for lunch today at Bucks. Had the brisket, ribs, and collards. Great food and will definitely be back!
  15. I saw one for a while after a car accident...it helped but definitely got the vibe that they just wanted me to pay for as many sessions as possible
  16. Are you in TX? Someone hit my brand new truck a couple years ago in Houston and I submitted a DV claim to their insurance. Their initial offer was $500 and after a few rounds of haggling it went up to like $900. It was super frustrating and it seemed like the only way to get a decent settlement was to hire an appraiser who specializes in DV claims, and then sue in small claims court. Sorry that this happened to you...hopefully your 4runner is totaled out. I wouldn't want to keep driving that and the trade in value is boned after a wreck like that.
  17. No, the stipend is determined by each schools financial aid counselors: https://www.ncaa.com/news/ncaa/article/2015-09-03/cost-attendance-qa
  18. I am pretty sure D1 scholarship players get a stipend to cover the "full cost of attendance"
  19. Don’t underestimate how long it takes to go from 174 to done...
  20. Picked up a couple wireless home security cameras on prime day. They get pretty good reviews, and there's no subscription fee for cloud storage: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0731NM58C/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Saved $90 compared to normal retail price.
  21. That started out as a 14 lb prime from H-E-B (they were open). Took north of 11 hours even with a pit temp of 290-300.
