  1. Dammit. Ehlinger ruined his own thread.
  2. Casserly is a moron who made up a story and got called out on it.
  3. I am 100% committed to being neutral about whether or not I will decommit.
  4. The only silver lining here is that this draft is about 4 or 5 deep. It would still sting though. I bet we trade the pick anyway unless it's 1st overall.
  5. It was a play on your Tre Watson thing, but I guess I failed. Anyway, they kinda look alike.
  6. Not all white people look alike bro.
  7. Can Brockermeyer just skip a grade and reclassify? I don't feel like waiting.
  8. Sometimes I have a tendency to just assume some of the stuff said about recruits on here is gospel, but the more I think about it, the happier I am with Card as the qb in this class. In fact, if I had to bet who would have more college success, I'd take Card over Roschon Johnson. His junior highlights are littered with perfect and difficult throws. Rolling to his left at full speed and threading it over a linebackers head to a receiver on the sideline. 15 yard out to the far side of the field. Corner route thrown perfectly in the basket. And deep ball after accurate deep ball. While I understand Garrett Wilson made Card look good, I found myself thinking Card made Wilson look good; particularly on the fade routes. It goes both ways. As great as Ehlinger's rushing TD's were this year, maybe bigger reason we finally had success for the first time in almost a decade was having a qb would could convert 3rd and mediums in the middle of the field or on slants.
  9. I don't know about specific positions, but having four guys (Cosmi, Braun, Shackelford, Kerstetter) with significant starting experience is a nice luxury given what we lost. Add in Okafor, Angilau, Ghirmai, Jones, Moore and Johnson, and we should have some nice competition.
  10. Right. Part of why I'm saying he can change directions quickly.
  11. Not that there are many (any?) situations where a QB will need to jump three feet in the air, but that's pretty impressive. Also, I kind of assume a lot of the people here who don't think he's a QB1 take based it off the fact that he was a shorter QB when we took him. A super accurate, tall QB who can change directions quickly is a nice QB prospect.
  12. If true, I have no idea why people are saying he's slow.
  13. I think Duvernay is the most underrated player on the team. 41 catches, 546 yards, 4 TDs and a hell of a lot of 3rd down conversions. If you're getting that from your third option, you're in a great spot. As great as Beck was in the running game, I think one thing that held back the offense a bit last year was a TE that could take advantage of the amount of attention Johnson and LJH draw. Hopefully Brewer or Leitao can add something there.
  14. All the five stars getting gigs.
  15. To be fair, he was defending himself against an Aggie fan that thought it was ridiculous to suggest Broughton was on the same level as Leal. EJ said he liked Leal a lot, but he also likes Broughton.
  16. There seems to be a real chance for this to be a class that has no fluff and just a ton of 4 and 5 stars. Card, Parr, Majors, Cooper, Garth in. Washington, Collins, Dorbah, Prince, Lindberg, Scott all seem like heavy leans. Evans feels like a lean even though we won't know for almost a year. Then Ringo, Broughton, Jackson, Thompson, Flowe, Wilson are all realistic to hopeful. It seems realistic that this class could be better overall than the past two even if it doesn't score as high.
  17. I feel like 2020 WRs could end up a lot like 2019 DBs where the amount of talent on campus encourages the top in state guys to go elsewhere. I almost don't blame them. Bru McCoy, Josh Moore, Brennan Eagles, Jordan Whittington, Jake Smith and Mookie Cooper makes six top 100 composite receivers to compete against. Not to mention Washington, Woodard and Lewis. It's a nice problem to have.
  18. Watched EJ's Periscope with Chad Lindberg and I come away pretty confident about our chances. For several reasons: -He said playing with guys he likes who are intelligent football players is important to him and talked about how he gets along with the Texas commits. -Mentioned that even if he likes Stanford, Texas will still be up at the top. -Mentioned, without being asked, that Zach Evans REALLY cares about the O-line he plays with. -Loves Hand and flat out said he liked Hand more than the A&M O-line coach. -Sort of sounds like the kind of guy who still wants to see schools but is heavily, heavily leaning towards Texas.
  19. I could actually see this since we seem to be recruiting him harder than everyone else.
  20. This is the important part to focus on. I'm just saying we don't need to do the same with Demas in response to their delusion.
  21. Our offense in 2008 compared to 2009 makes Shipley look pretty important. There are exceptions. I think I feared Tylon Wallace and Hollywood Brown more than any running back in the big 12 last season. Also Donta Foreman is the best running back we've had in a decade and we were pretty bad building an offense around him.
  22. I think the Demas talk is ironically going in a very aggy direction here. He's a great prospect. We would love to have him. He's a better overall prospect than Shepherd. Evans is a really good prospect too. If he was committed to us we would be comparing him to the AJ Green types simply because of his body type and 5 star status. It happens.
  23. Lindberg said, "not committed but... looking." Yall have old man ears.
  24. I think 5 of the top 10 guys on 247s list from 2016 are already about to be 1st round picks. Maybe more. We can do this dance a thousand times, but the recruiting rankings, while imperfect, are a good indicator of talent. Using exceptions to disprove this misses the point.
