  1. Slot players are incredibly profitable. High theoretical loss and the casino is basically paying floor space, wait staff and the machines. For that level of service, your buddy might be maxing betting penny slots. The casinos also have the risk of ruin going for them. The 10% theoretical return is long run and heavily weighted by max payouts (think lottery). So unless your buddy is very lucky, he’s definitely paying for it. That said, I think Cosmo does a decent job on spend. 5% rebate on all Cosmo spend through points. If you spend $4k in a year without gambling you’re gold tier which comes with 2 nights + 2 companion nights. If I’m going with friends, I’ll get them casino rates on rooms (steep discount), but get the points from the room spend. You can convert the points to Marriott points too. I haven’t really compared to other programs. They are not table game player friendly with comps, but I mostly stick to video poker. They beat other upper end casinos there.
  2. That’s about $5000 theoretical loss a day. So if they treat the suite as a $1200 comp, sounds about right...but seems pretty damn stingy. That’s probably bc the rooms are cash cows and they can afford to reserve them for high rollers. Blackjack guy has average daily theoretical loss of $750. I guarantee penny slots guy has a higher theo than blackjack guy (and the comps prove it). At 14 hours playing $2.50 a bet, he’d be at $1,750 Theo/day.
  3. I think Joel Klatt is great. Enjoy when he comes on the ticket.
  4. He will be...Mensa’s hubris will be his downfall (other than shitty coaching).
  5. I’m not going to guess at the final, but I have a feeling my butt hole is going to hurt
  6. Sadly. Typed it as it came out of his mouth
  7. To end in a victory formation...that’s the sign of a team that can finish. Lol
  8. Fair enough. Jimbo is likely better than Sumlin. He will fail to live up to the expectations he created tonight. I’ve been pumping up my aggy buddies to prep for the crash.
  9. Uh huh...that’s horse shit
  10. I miss poona
  11. Not true
  12. No, I read it correctly. That said, while certainly benefiting from questionable decisions, aggy looked much better than expected. The roller coaster is on track, but I think you’re downplaying what they showed a bit too much. You could have the same circumstances with Sumlin and the outcome would be much more closely aligned with expectations.
  13. It’s clear that they’re trying too hard. I’m not sure why you’d blame coaching.
  14. I read...aggy isn’t really good, Clemson was just trying too hard.
  15. The jet sweep? False...definitely working for tulsaTulsa
  16. Just win the game Tulsa. I’m optimistic that means we’re done with Mensa...maybe irrationally.
  17. I’m not going to quote because it’s way too long, but @campcrunk wins the most aggy post of surly’s short life. #6 was pretty much your only non-spin, valid point. Roller coaster is real. and Tulsa just gained 15 on a fucking jet sweep again
  18. Herman inherited significantly more talent than strong (see first year drafts). Maybe a scare against Tulsa isn’t the same, but a loss to Tulsa and 2 seasons getting beat by Maryland is easily on par with Kansas.
  19. Tulsa and Maryland are on par with Kansas
  20. No. Herman won’t even fire Beck after this. It’s worse.
  21. Just fire them all after the game. I guess we need coaches to finish the season, but cut the checks and let them know they’re done here.
  22. What happens when your defense is on the field all game?
