  1. I may be getting caught up in the hype (and lets be honest - that is fun), but it appears as though both current players and alumni are pretty stoked about this hire.
  2. Miami is INSANE. Two people hit the the seaport bridge on saturday, including one dumbass sailboat that didn't clear it by like 20ft. People running without nav lights, jet skis at night. You probably saw our Hatt if you anchored off KB on Saturday.
  3. Wiley just tweeted that "this one stung a little"
  4. She's in fantastic condition for a vessel her age. Prior owners put way too much money into the boat that they couldn't get out (all new cabinetry, davit and new plumbing), and we benefitted greatly from that. No bow thruster, but my dad has his 100 ton license and is old school - so its not an issue. Taking out the 10" plotters and replacing with 16." Apart from regular maintenance, not much else needed to be done.
  5. What would Johnny Lawrence say about that name?
  6. My Dad just bought this 1979 Hatteras. We will use her for the great loop (when I can join) and Bahamas. Had to take out the center console and put the lift all the way down to squeeze her onto the dock. Not a permanent solution, but the boat will soon leave home base for quite some time.
  7. Sailing is about the journey - power is about the destination. Always how we thought about it.
  8. I think its entirely plausible that Urban did not want to be hired right now. Right before signing day, season almost over, and the likely coaches he'd take from other schools are still playing. Of course, its completely plausible that Urban simply wont coach again due to his health. Is it just me, or has this whole "process" feel fan and media driven?
  9. I believe it. But the tech is fantastic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Fantastic boat. A friend of ours just sold their 62 and he’s going custom now. I would have stuck with it. My dad is closing on a 1979 58 Hatteras Yachtfish in a couple weeks after it’s surveyed. We are stoked. It will a loop boat first but then between the keys and bahamas before we take it down to the virgins. We are still weighing putting a sea keeper in her. She’s otherwise almost completely refit but for her low hour diesels(that are started and run weekly even when not in use). We’ll see. Our poor center consoles are going to be on the back burner, unless pathfinder says we can tow our 24 to the bahamas with some reinforcement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. What is the biggest knock on NFL coaches coming to college? Simply dealing with an amateur environment and recruiting? There are some NFL coaches that I would LOVE to have as a headcoach, but a lot of question marks regarding their ability to recruit, etc.
  12. Has this leaked as a torrent yet (I'm not talking cam versions)
  13. From the tropically depressed Miami, Florida... FIGHT!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Played and finished it - absolutely loved it. If I had to nitpick I'd say that the roadside caravans could be varied more, and I'd like a better climbing system. Overall, on par with horizon.
  15. I've only seen a positive response from the athletes... so really interested to see how this plays out.
  16. the meaning of the song has completely changed over time. I didn’t even know of the racist origins until now, and I had season tickets since before I was a freshman in ‘00. it’s not quite the same thing as honoring a racist person by naming a building or erecting a statue. i’d love to hear what prior players have to say about it. 19. That guy hasn't sniffed the lineup there, and he apparently isn't going to sniff it again (hence the transfer). Are we sure we want that guy? Kinda depends on how WR is going next year.
  20. So, is he going to sit out or not?
  21. I liked it (didn't really like the last episode), but I like nearly everything that is mindless entertainment. JM was the best part.
  22. Consider this - Texas Football is a platform for many young men, including Eagles. If Eagles decides not to play, I'd support him keeping his scholarship this year and assist him in any way possible to make sure his voice is heard. A single action like this would not degrade the platform (whether he will have a big enough platform to make a difference is another conversation). The platform would be degraded, however, if the entire team decides not to play. Then you don't have Texas football nor the platform that is Texas football and what comes after. Maybe it would be worth it to them to halt football for a year while they sit out to get a message across. Will this advance the message enough to matter? I don't know - but if they harm their platform, it may not be worth it in the long run. He needs to play the long game, although I recognize there is some value in striking while the iron is hot.
  23. We'd never do that to one player. What if 10 do it though? 30? Every player? I'm glad I don't have to make those kind of decisions!
