So follow up on the old bald man that we saw be taken away moments after the shooting. This is according to the Daily FAIL so take it with a grain of salt although it appears from this article they seem to have “credible” sources: “George Zinn, a 71-year-old Utah resident, was initially suspected of being the shooter as he was taken into custody moments after Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck at an event at Utah Valley University last week. Police documents now claim Zinn - who has several prior arrests for trespassing - admitted to causing a distraction to keep law enforcement away from the shooter, now alleged to be 22-year-old Tyler Robinson. Zinn had repeatedly asked to see his attorney before making the confession. He was later taken to a hospital to deal with a pre-existing medical condition and made a further disturbing admission, saying he 'wanted to be a martyr for the person who was shot.' Zinn was released from the hospital and then taken to the Utah County Jail after being ordered by a judge Monday to be held without bail, according to Utah Political Watch. He faces second-degree felony obstruction of justice as police believe they had to take resources away from finding the real killer to attend to Zinn. After it became clear that Zinn was not the gunman who killed Kirk, he was identified by Utah residents as a well-known political activist with a number of small-time arrests to his name. He is known to frequently show up at protests and demonstrations in the state, and Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill told the Tribune that his office has prosecuted Zinn numerous times dating back to the 1980s. Many of his arrests were for trespassing, Gill said, as he described Zinn as a libertarian conservative who would 'give me a hard time for being a Dem' 'He’s a person who can be odd, and has those kinds of odd behavior challenges,' Gill said, adding that 'by and large, he’s more of a gadfly than anything else'. Gill said that his office had tried to get Zinn into mental health court for past misdemeanor charges, but he 'never really participated in that'. Zinn's most serious arrest came in 2013, when he was charged with threatening to plant bombs at the finish line of the Salt Lake City Marathon. I seriously thought This shit seriously cannot get any fucking weirder. The dude was even a spectator years ago during the Kobe Bryant case in Colorado. This shit will get much fucking weirder.

Thank you! 😊 I also read that if the state intends to seek the death penalty (I do remember the governor saying that Kirk’s family will have some input) that they do not have to announce that tomorrow. That they have 60 days I think? To do so? The governor also indicated that they’d have a presser right after the assassin’s court appearance. So maybe they intend to explain that a bit? Bc I can see a scenario where if the DP isn’t automatically sought tomorrow in court that there will be an upheaval in conservative circles and media. So let’s say that Kirk’s widow hasn’t decided or if the State would want to give her some space to decide that. I’d imagine that they will want to have a presser to explain that before they get devoured by the conservatives. this is just a scenario playing out in my mind and the desire to get ahead of what has been a deeply deeply unsettling week for a lot of us, She may have already made a choice. I’m against DP now…my thoughts over the years have evolved this way…but I’m not going to judge her if she wants that punishment. I also know if she does not want the DP that the state said it will try to honor her wishes. So I hope if that’s the case that the Feds don’t step in to alter that wish. With all the unrest happening I just don’t want to see half of people losing their damned minds when the state appears to have 60 days to make a determination. so my question is that they don’t have to automatically put that down tomorrow? Right? They can also develop more charges if the investigation warrants correct? Or do have time to develop more?

He’s been sick as shit. Fowler has. He sounded even worse this weekend.

The best thing about this is there is zero like between Carroll and Harbaugh. Pete hates Jim. Hates his ass. No matter what the end of game “handshake” will be entertaining as fuck. Bc both Geno and Herbert show flashes but are inconsistent to me this will be about the ground game. And I have Oakland somehow beating them out bc Pete hates Jim so much.
-
I really had him as a back up. But after Cleveland (and it’s Cleveland so the jokes are built in) made the mistake of ditching him for a giant money mess I thought he was done. But McVay took pity on his ass. Gave him a chance. Built him back up. That team in Tampa is his. Don’t know how good they are down the stretch but they are good enough to fuck up other teams’ fortunes.

Yes. But serious growth by Baker. I was still waiting for him to throw a pick. That was a gutsy drive by him to take the lead. He took a beating. I respect that. Normally he makes a wild decision that gives the ball back to the other team. But last year he was responsible for some great game drives. Major growth.

So at his appearance in court tomorrow we will see all the official charges? And some evidence? I know they were trying to ascertain whether anyone had any advance knowledge based on some online comments that alleged something would happen to Charlie at the event. Can lawyer Surlies say what to expect from the assassin’s court appearance tomorrow and what the state of Utah would present? I know the Governor said he intended to have a press conference following court.

Oddly specific.

I was struggling to find my glasses earlier and I was like MAGA, Utah? Wtf? Thanks for the info.

It’s just a weird weird development in a state that’s weird and kinda on edge a bit. So for me trying to figure out shit I put it to the side. Don’t see it as related but at the same time it’s relevant only because of being in close enough proximity to the shooting and bc of the timing. But when I look at perps I don’t go “well this must be a frame job (not saying it isn’t) as opposed to two individuals doing their own thing.” I don’t see a larger connection and I don’t understand why they would even do that in the first place. Blow up a local news van had the device functioned as intended? Why? Weird shit,
-
Thanks. 😊 it’s 45 mins from the shooting. Utah is weird, that’s my point, Now this?

Weird unrelated or related stuff regarding an incident with an incendiary device placed under a news van in Utah. Just weird. SIAP. “MAGNA, Utah — Two men have been arrested after allegedly leaving an incendiary device underneath a FOX 13 News vehicle and then forcing an evacuation of a Magna neighborhood when the FBI served an overnight warrant on their home. The men, Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31, were booked into jail and face multiple charges, including Threat of Terrorism, Possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Possessing Explosive Devices The device underneath the FOX 13 News vehicle was originally located on Friday and determined to be real. According to officials, the device had been lit but "failed to function." Because of the type of device discovered and where it was located, it was considered a significant threat to public safety, leading the FBI to assume jurisdiction over the case. During the FBI investigation, the suspects were tracked to a Magna home in the 2700 South block of 8500 West.” https://www.fox13now.com/news/crime/fbi-arrests-2-after-incendiary-device-left-under-fox-13-news-vehicle crazy shit in Utah is what I chock it up to but given the assassination that occurred it’s a weird development whether unrelated or not. Lit but failed to function? Makes me think dynamite stick and coyote v roadrunner.

Thanks for the information. We should definitely get some more concrete stuff tomorrow at the indictment. I do find it interesting he is being silent. Best case scenario is CK’s widow wants him to get life in prison. He and the MN shooter are different from a standpoint that they had friends in real life and were a part of social groups. Usually what we see is someone without friends and very isolated. It doesn’t mean anything unless you follow true crime like I do and want to know what makes these guys do this shit. But it’s certainly a bit different. The assassin was joking and laughing like a sociopath/psychopath online with his buds hours after the event. Sure he was probably checking to see what people knew or if he got away with it….but usually it’s the lone gunman thing. The killer in MN and the CK assassin are much different from the typical BAU profile of a loner without friends kind of thing. So that’s a bit different,

Yeah I’m not interested in having the 24/7 news stations try and report on surly: “well Rachel, what we have found is some really horrifying and disturbing shit. They are harboring a serial lake killer. They had a rock throwing pedo on their site. They have a thread exclusively degrading and rating their sexual conquests, something called IPIHB where they advocate peeing in people’s asses. They watch furry porn. They actively encourage fatwas on former coaches. They hate the only coach in 35 years who gave them a MNC. Their game threads are like watching two hobos fuck in a rail car even when they are winning their games. They have something called a cloak room where the most common emoji used is a middle finger. The site’s owner repeatedly tells them to act like human beings and they scoff at him even though he digs deep into his own pockets to feed their ungrateful asses at tailgates. In short they are proud of being a palace of degenerates. Nuking the site from orbit won’t fix it. They have assholes all over the globe. One who cosplays as Ted Cruz. Oh the humanity.” I clean up my own messes. We don’t need this kind of scrutiny from the media. Do better fucksticks. Don’t make our site get described to boomers on the television in a two minute segment.

I gotta say their offense looks really similar to ours. Right down to the red zone woes. If they can figure that out with the studs they drafted in defense who are starting to gel they will be a tough team to beat. Penix is more than capable and the speed he gets the ball out is amazing. Yeah I realize he’s older than most of the 2nd year QBs. But we seen how he can put on a clinic
