  1. Just got the game on via a CA stream and saw one of their commercials - ARCO now accepting credit cards for gas? WTF?
  2. My best friend is working at one of the international schools in the Baltics and the parents of the Russian students that attend have complained about their kids getting "harassed" by the natives post UKR invasion. Attitude at the school has been "too bad - your country invaded Ukraine - what do you expect?"
  3. When I was watching, I kept thinking all the "India news" is a false flag being planted and they swallowed it hook, line and sinker...
  4. My fight this year is the actual land value that went up 400% from what its been for years... (I live in a "master planned community" that has been built out for years where there are no empty lots where they can use as comps...) Last fight I had with them - and got my rate reduced - had them saying I couldn't use comps on houses outside my neighborhood as they didn't apply. So how are they justifying the land value increases? If its from a lot that is miles away, can I use the housing comps from that distance away as well? On top of that, they were previously basing the land value apparently by the lot size but this year, they had every lot on the street with the exact same assessment regardless of the size of the lot... As my lot is one of the smaller ones on our street, the percentage of increase on my lot was higher than the larger lots... Lazy frigging assessors... GFU...
  5. Similar property tax calculator as above but cheaper. (Looks like it's not ready yet for some counties...) https://jubally.com/
  6. Thanks - I didn't realize this limit was lifted... KU, KSU - tomato, tamato...
  7. Maybe covered earlier but isn't there a limit of how many scholarships (25 or 32?) a team can give out a year? There was a story elsewhere about all the issues KState was having the past 2 years filling their roster because of this limit...
  8. Good pickup!
  9. Counter-Offensive has begun? https://euromaidanpress.com/2023/04/20/frontline-update-ukraines-counteroffensive-has-begun/
  10. So my teen asked me if I could put some of his money down on a stock tip he got from another kid who's dad is a day trader. I said I'd put down a few hundred if we he wants but be prepared to lose it as it's a "penny stock" which I figured was perfect to share with this board... The comments from his friend was this (teen speak): it’s 4 cents a share. and could u put 100$ into it it’s backed by of a 14 billion dollar mining company. and has developed Rawanda - he was mining person of the year in 2013. also ron lawizki who’s pretty well know in the Canadian mining industry. all these people have been in involved in taking minor mining companies and and turning them into 100 million dollar market caps. and i think they are going to do it again. It's advice from a teen (who's dad has actually made some pretty good coin) to another teen so take it with a grain of salt but I figure a few hundred bucks down can't be any worse than some of the the bucks I've tossed on some stonks here.. Stock is SKKRF...
  11. I quoted someone else quote but in that link it does say specifically about Carkson's Farm: "Prime Video already has a number of shows in the works with Clarkson, which are going to go ahead, but the decision effectively means that “Clarkson’s Farm” will end with Season 3 (expected in 2024)." So it sounds like there will at least be another season of Clarkson's Farm...
  12. Well, the thread is called Clarksons Farm...
  13. I think they have Season 3 contracted (2024 release) but are terminating any seasons after that (for now...)
  14. EU based companies must have "green"/carbon strategies in place in order to be able to borrow funds for projects. Wanna borrow $1B for a platform? Better have a green energy policy in place...
  15. Tasters choice coffee commercials...
  16. Episode just dropped...
  17. Similar story - was running through CDG to catch a connecting flight back to the US the day before Christmas and all the luggage carts were gone so I had to drag all my crap between terminals. Customs guys did their security stop close to the gate and asked "why are you sweating???" (said with a shitty French/Inspector Clouseau accent...)
  18. There is/was a football manager simulation game where you can "play" multiple seasons where you as manager/owner make the decisions on how/where to spend your money over the course of a season. You needed to make decisions after every simulated match based on player injuries, stadium condition, attendance numbers, etc.
  19. Interesting since the training (input) data for ChatGPT is from September 2021 (and earlier)... (unless they've changed the data since a few weeks ago...)
  20. I want a GIF of the jinx(s) comment by Rebecca to use in the football, recruiting and basketball boards...
  21. Link to a LHN stream?
  22. I've never been all that impressed with Mercado San Miguel when it comes to food (I was there again a few weeks ago) but my favorite in the world is the one in Barcelona (and the floating market in Bangkok) so that's my baseline. That being said, its a good place for a larger group to go and have drinks and some snacks as everyone can chose what they want to eat and meet up at a table. I recommend dinner at Bodega de los Secrets which isn't too far from Playa Major. Make sure to ask for a tour as it's in the basement of the old Madrid city wall and booze used to get smuggled by the monks (if I recall correctly) into the city via these tunnels...
  23. I didn't look at the credits but is Rupert (Anthony Head) the same actor? He looked/sounded different... (Never mind Google said he's back this season)
  24. I've had to get some documents done recently - the mail service was taking 1-2 months to get it done. I ended up paying a service I found online to get it done in 24 hours (plus overnight mail time). I don't remember the cost but I was thinking it was cheaper than the cost of a daytrip to Austin...
  25. I'm pumped - we just booked flights to BCN and are renting a villa south of Barcelona this July - not sure where yet but my buddy's brother and parents have houses near Tarragona and we'll be renting something in that area. Buddy also has an apartment in the Gothic Quarter so we have options of staying in BCN or at the rented villa. (We've been to BCN a bunch of times when we lived in Europe so we've already done the "must see" places in BCN but the Mercado off La Ramblia will definitely be a stop.) A great way to see the city is to rent an e-bike - ride along the beach to the Olympic village, ride up the steep hill to Castell de Montjuec and then down to Park Guell as a good 1/2 day trip... And of course, La Sagrada Familia...
