  1. We're at the restaurant, and I order a Pizza Port Blonde Ale. After finishing it, the waitress asked, "Do you wanna do another blonde or are you OK?" After she left the table, I told my daughter, "I guess we're just not doing phrasing any more." My daughter looked at me blankly and asked, "What's 'Phrasing?'"
  2. She ain't no Farrah, but she is a hot UT alumn blonde
  3. I'll see your Amber Heard and raise you El Paso's own... Debbie Reynolds.
  4. Watching Rogue One immediately after Andor is a mixed bag. On the one hand, many scenes have a whole new weight, depth and meaning to them that they didn't have before, and not just Cass's. K2 telling the Alliance to fuck off as they leave for Scarif, Mon doing anything, Saw's huffing fumes addiction, and so on. On the other... it's definitely a step down in overall writing quality. Jyn giving her pep talk on Scarif approach... it's a good speech, but it's also cringe because you've seen what everyone else on that ship has been through, but not her, so it feels like she hasn't earned the right to lecture them.
  5. We sure have been discussing boolean operators a lot lately.
  6. is there any other kind of Chopper?
  7. Chopper threatened your family if you didn't say that, didn't he? 😉
  8. "Jyn, I'll be there for you. Cassian said I had to."
  9. Gilroy came in to patch up Gary Whitta's script, and didn't rewrite the whole thing.
  10. Lemme help you out here, man. Screen Recording 2025-05-14 194211.mp4
  11. Bonus Swear Trek gif, because I've never had a good opportunity to use it and it deserves to be seen: you need to learn how to use the Ignore feature
  12. ok now hear me out Marvin the Paranoid Android and B2EMO in a buddy movie Directed by Tim Burton "I think you should know I'm feeling very depressed." "S-s-s-so am I."
  13. oh yeah, there was some interview with Gilroy yesterday where he pointed out how great Michael Jenn's acting was in that scene
  14. on a less silly note:
  15. I admit I didn't have Partagaz dying on my list. I also didn't expect Bix, Dedra, nor Kleya surviving.
  16. I mean... it's not head-scratching. That's why I keep pointing out Kurt Warner's analysis; there's no mystery at all to why some of his passes worked and some didn't. None. Zero. Zip. 1. He got sloppy with his footwork and trusted his arm too much. A classic case of someone relying on their talent beyond the point where that's really possible. 2. He made incorrect reads or made the reads too slowly. Honestly, he was better at this than most of the guys drafted ahead of him. And that's why I think this discussion is dumb: The good and bad of Ewers are all well-known, but people are trying to talk around it and avoid the facts for whatever stupid reason they have.
  17. Saaaame. I was gonna watch it anyway because I'll watch nearly anything Star Wars.
  18. I'm not even sure she's the best character in Andor. Which is not to slight Kleya so much as to highlight how fucking well written, directed, and acted the whole thing was.
  19. i bet the returns from Andor S2 change that btw, watched the first 20 minutes of Rogue One immediately after. Andor s2e12 really places the ball well for Rogue One's game winning field goal, I'll say. There's a little delay before you see that because you have to meet Jyn's childhood friend Saw first, but... that first scene with Cass is much more meaningful now.
  20. More accurately, it was why they shouldn't make Andor as a buddy-adventure series.
