    1. What makes you think that we're only getting info from Richardson's side

    2. The info they were supposed to keep quiet was that Texas was visiting Demani? Well I guess we shouldn't let A&M know by putting it up on our board, even though they were there too.

    3. What makes you think we don't go through the proper channels before we release something?

Sometimes we get stuff that the others can't post because we have different sources that they don't and they have different source we don't. Sometimes it depends on who gives it to you and how comfortable they are with sharing it. Then you have to wondering how will this affect everything and make sure it doesn't destroy a recruitment in some way.

In this case, we went through multiple channels, knew Texas A&M and Texas would be there, knew that A&M and Texas knew each other would be there, and made sure that this info could be released (even though we really don't have to).

Also if Texas A&M is getting scoops from our board, then we need to be paid more and Jimbo shouldn't be making $75 million.

I appreciate the thorough response. Glad to hear you folk aren’t just running amok.

Can we assume this is a requirement for all of the reports y’all put out? And you would be able to similarly justify each one if called out like you were? Apologies if that comes off antagonistic as that’s not my intention. Some of us that are only slightly-in-the-know get mixed information from slightly-more-in-the-know folks who feel $9.95ers occasionally stamp down a particular recruit’s momentum.

So, the theory is something like daughter does a 23 and Me kit, and the result sparks a hit with the six related GSK samples? If that’s true, specimen samples became even more valuable.  Test it all!

Sounds like it might be a good time to sell my stock in 23 and Me

  3. I believe there are several posts in this thread suggesting he is going to jail. Maybe I am misreading that. He surely deserves anything and everything coming his way though

I think the conversation has sidetracked from that a bit. Right now, it’s just a series of shitty, dishonest “journalism” that should get him fired. But early speculation was that the Hannity-Cohen connection could’ve been an avenue for coordinating communications between TrumpCo-Assange/Wikileaks-Russia. If anybody was talking about jail, it was probably in that context. There may have been speculation about him using Cohen for other shady dealings, but I don’t recall anything other than loose speculation based on other “problems” Cohen has fixed.
  4. I need help with my sprinklers
I have 2 zones that will not pop up properly. The other 4 work fine. It worked last summer, but now the heads don't pop up worth a shit.
Is there a way to trouble shoot this with out having to dig up my whole front yard?

I would start with the absolute easiest test. Take off the directional valve on the sprinkler head. Should just be one tiny screw, then there might be another piece inside to unscrew/remove. That’ll turn it into an open pipe. Turn on the zone and see if you get a strong jet of water. If it’s not shooting up several feet, you’ve got problems farther up the line.

  5. in 2015, the 2nd year of the Strong voobortion, the spring practice thread reached 75 pages on the old site.  For 2017, it reached over a hundred.
This year, we're at 20 something.  Can we have an honest discussion about length?

I really have no problem with that. I can actually keep up with those threads now. In 2017, I’d bet 80 pages worth of side commentary and idiocy could’ve been deleted.

  6. "One diagram lists the various forms of torment supposedly made possible by using remote mind-control methods, from “forced memory blanking” and “sudden violent itching inside eyelids” to “wild flailing” followed by “rigor mortis” and a remotely induced “forced orgasm.”

I'm game. Where do I sign up?

  7. I don't like the result in this exact case, but I can't completely disagree with Twicehorn here. I think the argument is somewhere in the middle. I don't believe this is specifically an intended consequence of the NY law, but it's pretty close. The purpose was to avoid dual prosecution based on the same crime. Whether the sovereigns are different is immaterial because that was the exact purpose of the law. Now, if the laws governing the conduct have materially different elements, that might be an entirely separate argument. Like...if you were pardoned on a Federal conviction for money-laundering, I don't think I'd have a problem with a state conviction for fraudulent real estate transactions even if both charges stemmed from the same deal.

Back to where I agree with Twice, changing laws to close a loophole after the occurrence of an event is the slipperiest of slopes, and everyone should find it unsettling. As hard as it is, you have to set aside your personal feelings for this defendant because changing a law has significantly broader implications. Setting aside ex post facto for the sake of argument, there is probably a way to narrowly tailor the NY statute so that the potential for double jeopardy is not expanded...like establishing that the grant of a pardon precludes the triggering of jeopardy (And don't start putting holes in that example. I'm not going to sit here and write the whole statute.)

Say what you will about typical politicians lying, dissembling, spinning, but never in modern memory has it been so bad, so bald-faced, so shameless, and so widespread among a major political party.   This is the kind of shit you see in tinpot dictatorships and wonder how they can say these things with a straight face.  But these are the people currently in charge of our country.

I'm just waiting for him to return from Mar-a-Lago after carding 18 hole-in-ones

What a shame that The Daily Show has Trevor Noah hosting during the Trump presidency.  I'm sure he's a great guy, but he's terribly unfunny in this gig.

Fact. At least we have John Oliver once a week.

2nd.  Used to work with a Vol cheerleader that got knocked out during a Vol/Bama game.  Either Peyton or Tee Martin was trying to kill the clock and nailed her in the head.  (This was before the spike). She made Sportscenter and everything.  Oh, and would.

The jokes from this are too easy, but I'm sure y'all will still give it a go...

Buddy of mine was a dude-cheerleader for Baylor about 10 years ago. During a game, a receiver caught the ball on the sideline and was pushed out of bounds straight at them. He claims he tried to move his girl-cheerleader out of the way, but the player also tried to dodge them. The offsetting countermoves resulted in him plowing directly into her. No official concussion protocol, but it was Baylor so I'm sure they just threatened to expel her if she complained about it.
