  1. UNLV appears on many lists of Group of Five playoff favorites. Here’s an example. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/group-of-five-power-rankings-memphis-climbs-after-florida-state-upset-white-hot-unlv-remains-in-top-spot/
  2. It’s clear the agent Cromartie is incredibly incompetent. I feel for the Sluka family they were duped by him. It’s also reasonable to think a successful QB would have had multiple suitors, based on Matt Rhule’s comments in the offseason, so I believe he had opportunities beyond UNLV. UNLV seems to have thought they could get by without much of an investment, and it’s now going to cost them. There are no winners.
  3. That was a misquote by some media hack. The QB actually used the word “representations.”
  4. I’m not sure how Amazon aggy can walk with Chelsie’s hand so far up her ass, pulling all the levers. What a puppeteer, just give her the money already.
  5. 3-0 Arthur Smith couldn’t have drawn it up any better. Literally.
  6. So, Bijan says his high school rather than “Texas” in his NFL intro. Ok.
  7. It will probably be the lead SEC Network team of Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic.
  8. See, you want immediate results, and Smith only promises next day delivery.
  9. I don’t follow baseball recruiting closely, but I know the family, and 2026 RHP/SS James Jorgensen has committed to Texas. Perfect Game thinks highly of him, giving him a grade of “10.”. Plays private school ball (Dallas Jesuit) but has MLB bloodlines. Two years is a long time to wait, so we’ll see. https://www.perfectgame.org/players/playerprofile.aspx?ID=756499
  10. Nice interview with Jordan. He’ll likely get a great opportunity to play a lot with injuries to both Kupp and Nacua.
  11. Did someone program the AI generator at Sports Illustrated to stop writing phony articles and make a funny list?
  12. I’d kinda like to see a couple tiny 60ish dudes throwdown.
  13. Someone who knows what “measurables” translate sees something, and everyone has jumped on the bandwagon. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Bledsoe was considered another raw prospect with great potential, but years later we don’t seem to be seeing any reward.
  14. He’s cleaned up a lot of the unnecessary juking he was doing last year, much better. Looks to be an excellent receiver, which will mean he has the chance to be wildly successful here. Really excited about his progress and potential.
  15. Golden Richards? WTF? Brando gonna Brando.
  16. It’s funny to hear a what, 17 year old kid, use the phrase, “damn near every day.” He’s already one of us.
  17. I’m calling bullshit on the Wikipedia article. Student government had been abolished at Texas in 1978 (the “Arts and Sausages” anti-government movement), and the workaround to get some form of student involvement (and resume padding) was to have future law students (face it, that’s pretty much who they were) run for something called “Student Services Fees Committee,” with one of the spots the Grand Poobah, or something like that. That’s what Begala won, not Student Government President. I had multiple friends on the committee. I didn’t know Begala personally, but word was he was actually bright and capable.
  18. Mbatchou is definitely a project, which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. It’s not a criticism, just a fact based on his lack of any experience. His Hudl shows a big kid who doesn’t really know where to go. A lump of clay to be molded, and should he pick us, we’ll see what kind of artist/sculptor Kenny Baker is.
  19. I may be imagining things, but I seem to recall reading Wednesday he’d be announcing early afternoon, but Junior Bonner reports in the 2026 thread it could come at 11am.
  20. Hicks is a 2026, but I have a sneaking suspicion part of his announcement could be the news he’s reclassifying to ‘25. His tape certainly shows a kid ready to make the next step.
  21. I haven’t seen a big hitter like that since I went golfing with the Dalai Lama.
  22. He changed his avatar from LaVar Ball to Anthony Edwards, but you can’t change the hot takes
  23. Five-star fumble.
