  1. Not hyperbole, one of the great catches you’ll ever see.
  2. Seems really bright and poised, sharp kid. As they were wrapping up the interview and after the 235 pound number was mentioned, Vogel said something like, “Lot of time in the weight room!” Without missing a beat, Trey comes back with, “Or the pantry.” Scouting note: processes information quickly…
  3. I hope his mom likes his new duds, because I think Austin is going to win out over Gainesville.
  4. We got medical professionals and lawyers beefin’. What is this, a deposition?
  5. Good work tonight, Hiphop, TxRed, Ricky, Bevo, etc., thanks for the updates.
  6. Yes, I forgot about the Stanford dude, good call. The Tree gets TE play too, along with the Iowa schools. And the concept of JT coming back is crazy, but would be an amazing development.
  7. I don’t know if Banks/Sark wanted Staes, but we need a TE transfer, and Notre Dame usually knows what they are doing at that position. Shit. Edited to call out our friend @texifornia. How do you like that Staes edit from your buddy? Looks like a damn cartoon character. And the real life Tennessee alternates are an abomination.
  8. 24/7 says 5’10”, 175. Watched some of his highlights, certainly fast, kinda stumbled a few times without being hit, may just be a need to learn how to gauge your momentum into cuts (I just made that up, sounded kinda reasonable though 🤣)..
  9. Can’t watch. People on the Facebook are raving about #1 for Gilmer’s speed, I presume that’s Henderson? What’s his size? Tiny little fella?
  10. The Lashlee offense is mostly pass, very little QB run? Sounds like a decent fit, Duke education, not a ridiculous amount of pressure at a basketball school. I’d have reservations about Diaz, but otherwise, Durham may be a good spot.
  11. I remember Colt being interviewed but not that particular discussion, but yes, Gerry (especially) has been pumping the notion Crawford and Keilan could have an NFL future as special team specialists, with #21 mentioned the most. Whether they get shot as draft picks or FAs is the question. What’s cool is veterans like Keilan and Roschon before him setting the example of how it’s smart to be on special teams, so kids like McDonald and Wisner are embracing it, and keeping engaged.
  12. The scuttlebutt is DeCamillas is telling his special teams buddies in the league Crawford is a perfect fit for gunner, and if you don’t need him to actually try to play, I don’t know, defense, he may be worth a late round flyer
  13. I don’t know anything about him, but seems bright and it’s a positive he graduated from Texas. Like all 9.95ers, I’m sure he’s stepped on his dick a time or two trying to predict what a 17 year old will do, but he would seem to be the Wells replacement. I’m sure Bobby is still talking to Gerry every morning*, getting some scoop. *Clarifying by phone or text, obviously not on YouTube
  14. Here’s NoName’s post, “Industry Ranking” indeed says 33, but On3 dropped him to 61 in their proprietary rankings. Or something like that, who knows the voodoo science used.
  15. It’s apparently more difficult to navigate than most states, but yes, AZ HS kids can now get their class work completed early and graduate early and enroll in college for the spring semester. I know the RB Clark is doing ao. Wilson is probably an EE as well, I just don’t remember off the top of my head.
  16. Holy fuck, Craig Kilborn as “Mark” in Old School is SydneyCarton personified. And you both apparently have to scrunch down to fit in a sports car.
  17. He did a long form column about how it sucks Sark’s “no portal guy can play in the bowl” policy is fucking over Maalik. It wasn’t a good look for Sarkisian. What he didn’t know is Sark relaxed this policy this year (announced what, two weeks ago?) personally told Maalik he was welcome to stay, and it was Maalik who decided it was best for his future to begin the process sooner than later. ESPN’s Thamel literally had that acknowledgment in his initial reporting. In the original article, Ari blames modern day football on denying Maalik a place on the team in the playoffs, but made it clear Sarkisian’s policy was at play, too. Except it wasn’t. Many readers responded with the truth… that Thamel had yesterday… and Wasserman started distributing apologies like Jason Fucking Kidd. Problem is, he didn’t just trash the article, he slightly rewrote it, but it’s a mess, and still isn’t a great reflection on Sarkisian.
  18. Holy shit, Wasserman put up up the mea culpa, which should have been the end of it (along with the deletion of the story), but he actually tried to make some mind-bending edits and keep it published… as the entire fucking premise of his hit piece had been torn to shreds by the truth. Now, there’s some Frankenstein’s Monster-report really struggling to make sense (other than he had to meet his weekly quota of words?). It’s a low moment for The Athletic, I wonder if they have an ombudsman/oversight panel to review such an attack of proper journalism. Wasserman completely fucked up, should have taken the loss (delete and apologize) but he tried to salvage the unsalvageable. Bianco shouldn’t let this drop.
