  1. Show this article to Brady and James White and then show the Pats-Falcons game to the author.
  2. Wife and I loved it. We are old enough to remember the Manson family and we loved the homage to old Hollywood. It was nice to see how Margot Robbie portrayed Sharon Tate--a real lightness and joie de vivre about her.

  5. Wow, the link was updated since I posted it. Meltser was not mentioned in the original article. Maybe more to come.

Anyone been to Harlem Road BBQ? It’s getting a lot of good press and it’s not too far from my house. I’m going to try to get there sometime in the next two weeks.
  8. He’ll try to out bloody and out violence Peckinpaugh’s classic and it will look ridiculous.
  9. Pennsylvania woman killed after falling into meat grinder at work https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/tanyachen/a-woman-died-after-she-fell-or-was-drawn-into-a-meat-grinder A 35-year-old woman from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, died Monday while on the job at a meat processing plant in northern Pennsylvania. Jill Greninger was working at Economy Locker Storage Company, located near the town of Muncy, around noon when she "tragically either fell or was drawn into" an industrial-size meat grinder, the Lycoming County coroner, Charles Kiessling Jr., told BuzzFeed News. Greninger was standing at the top of the stairs next to the machine when the horrific accident occurred. According to Kiessling and the coroner's office, the local fire department and emergency personnel were forced to disassemble the grinder upon arriving at the scene, "which took more than two hours until the deceased could be removed." Residents of Muncy, which has a population of a little over 2,400 people, are in shock. "It's devastating to everyone. I've lived in the community here since 1971 and the store has been up there ... and I've never heard of anything like this before," a local resident told an ABC News reporter. The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration confirmed to BuzzFeed News that it is investigating the incident for any workplace negligence, however, it cannot comment on an active investigation until it's concluded.
  10. Dean Hrbacek in Sugar Land.
  11. Had tickets for Houston and Jazzfest in New Orleans. Hope they reschedule for Houston.
  12. Can’t remember the first one, but we were the first of our friends with a stereo vcr and a nice stereo system. We must have watched The Breakfast Club 20 times with different friends because they were always amazed by the sound. Btw, that stereo vcr was $1,000 in 1984.
  13. IF he’s healthy that’s a great signing, otherwise he’s another Tony Boselli.
  14. According to an article in The Houston Chronicle today, A&M is going to go after Buzz Williams when Va. Tech is done in the tournament.

  16. RIP. He was a lot of fun to watch when I was in school at the same time.
  17. The free agency world is crazy. Kendall Lamm got a $7MM deal from the Browns, making the Texans better and ruining the Browns offseason.
  18. Wasted almost $2000 trying to save a 30' pine in our front yard. Two arborists, soil analysis, injections--nothing. Had it taken down and replaced it with a magnolia that's thriving. Btw, all the "certified" arborists in Houston are A&M grads.
  19. No big loss.
  20. The secondary now looks solid enough but the OL still looks like crap. Only addressing it through the draft gets DW killed for two plus years.

  24. Elisabeth Kimmel of Las Vegas, possibly a relative of Jimmy by blood or marriage, since he grew up there. Also Gordon Caplan, the Co-chair of one of the biggest lawfirms in the country. This is fantastic schadenfreude.
  25. We are going to Jazzfest in May and I have made reservations at Cafe Degas and Carrollton Market. These are two places we've never been to before and I'm looking forward to both. We've been to almost all of the well regarded places and our favorites are Brigtsen's and Shaya. Chef Brigtsen was really cool and gave us a tour of his kitchen and let us ask questions of his chefs about some of the dishes. Herbsaint was pretty disappointing the last time we went but Dookie Chase's was better than ever. We love going out to the lake and eating at Deanie's.
