According to his IG, he's fully vaccinated and is showing no symptoms. Hopefully that means he's well and will still make the qualifiers.
  2. Let me just ruin this for everyone: Josh Green probably isn’t an NBA player. The choices the Mavs have made with regard to his development scream that. At this point, they are probably doing everything they can to preserve value.
  3. Perhaps but don't forget the Clippers were tanking toward the end of the season to play us and still finished 5 games ahead of us.
  4. As far as the West goes, the Clippers and Nuggets are almost certainly going to be worse due to injury. I'm not willing to say the Lakers have improved much because Westbrook is a complete wildcard. Warriors will definitely be better but are another year older. It seems to me the Mavs have a ceiling around the 3 seed if everything breaks right. Hopefully just by having a better playoff matchup, they will be able to get out of the first round.
  5. Geez we are going to have some poor play-making outside of Luka. What a depressing list.
  6. How we feeling about Markkanen? Let's get him and Dragic and create an all-star Euro team.
  7. Any idea where you caught it?

You have a lot of time on your hands.

Italy could be very good for Dest. They might actually teach him how to be a defender.
  10. In the darkest days of the season (February) there were several posters fearing he wouldn't. We now have four years to put a team around him. I think everyone's concern is that after he signs the extension, they are going to be hamstrung to do much to improve the team (aka KP's contract and no draft picks). This is one reason I'd like to trade Brunson and some, not all, of these other moveable contracts (Powell, Maxi, DFS, etc.) to start getting draft assets back. They're going to have to start taking the draft seriously, there's really no other choice at this point. That being said, I do think they did a good, not great, job this offseason. I don't think anyone was out there that was going to fix all their issues, but they did address shooting and added some defense. I can see the offense being very good in the regular season, similar to 2019. I really hope they avoid their typical slow start to the season because I do think they could get the 3 seed if everything breaks their way.
  11. If Toronto is going to be stingy with Dragic, I'd prefer to just get Reggie Jackson. He should be a cheaper option who can still score. Shot 43% from 3 last season.
  12. I just think Brunson is going to cost a ton next summer. Not sure I want to spend a lot on backup pg.
  13. To me, it's not all about there not being a spot for Brunson so much as I don't think they're going to want to pay him next summer. Need to get max value for that contract while you can.
  14. No way they can run Dragic and THJ out there with Luka. We will get shredded. I think Dragic or THJ become 6th man in that scenario. I still think Brunson is gone if we get Dragic.
  15. Just get Dragic and perhaps a big like Holmes and wrap this shit up.
  16. Not really sure how I feel about this. I guess it makes Luka happy so that's good. But is this going to improve us much? Even if he has a bounce-back year, he's more of a 25-minute per game type of guy at this stage.
  17. Who do you hope to get at this point?
  18. We really not going to make a sub and just let them continue to over run our tired legs?
  19. Mexico is so exposed to the counter right now but it’s because they know we have nobody that will burn them. Arriola is a black hole. We can’t string three consecutive passes together to play out of trouble and make them pay. This is so freaking ugly. Might as well just put in Dike and go route 1.
  20. Oh look, another opportunity for Arriola to fuck up. Please sub his ass out.
  21. Can’t believe everything right now. Agents posturing for more money. Lowry to the Heat seems like the likeliest scenario though. I think you have to throw the bank at Lonzo at that point, though. Those teams cannot pay as much as Dallas if it came down to it.
  22. Apparently it’s a one-way trade because Boston had a trade exception from the Gordon Hayward trade. Didn’t even know that was a thing. Either way, we have a shit ton of cap space.
