  1. I do believe we've served notice in the SEC. Wrapped up both the men's and women's titles tonight. New sheriff in town. 🤘
  2. Important win. For my psyche, if not the team's.
  3. I get the argument, but I'm not sure how hard we even looked. Swain had pedestrian career numbers at ISU but has pretty good stuff and presumably might have helped us in a Czech role. All moot now.
  4. I still can't figure out why we didn't grab another arm in the portal. Especially with Simpson having gone south and stayed there.
  5. Nice rally! But my video is glitchy. Are they filming this on Zapruder's camera?
  6. Yesterday's results https://swimswam.com/2025-sec-championships-day-5-finals-live-recap/
  7. Another time-honored turdition. They're a true "mid"-major.
  8. Nailbiter. Chavez wasn't their leading scorer today, but Monterey had just enough to win. https://www.lubbockonline.com/story/sports/high-school/2025/02/21/aaliyah-chavez-lubbock-monterey-2025-no-1-recruit-womens-basketball-argyle-regional-final-score-acu/78638055007/#
  9. Assuming she'd even listen, they might do it just for the quick buzz of the headline: "Schaefer Dumps tu for A&M."
  10. "Pop Goes the Wemby" sounds like it's made for NBA TV. But it hints of serious medical issues, so nah.
  11. I don't follow our swimming-diving teams closely. But with Florida's recent run of SEC dominance (especially the men), I've checked in a few times to see how we've been doing at the conference meet in Athens. The short answer is, "Well." Here's to finishing strong and taking the men's and women's titles back to Austin...to the annoyance of the SEC's old guard.
  12. In my mind's perfect world, Vic wins multiple titles here, then way down the road hands the keys to the dynasty to budding superstar coach Rori Harmon.
  13. We're obviously quicker, deeper and more tested at the guard positions now than we were against NC State last year or ND earlier this season. With Harmon, Preston, Lee and Holle all getting meaningful minutes, I feel good about our chances of limiting Hidalgo, Miles or whoever else from deep. That, plus a neutral court, is why I look forward to a tournament rematch with the Irish.
  14. Solid young RB. He reminds me a bit of Wisner. Some speed, shake and decent hands. Wouldn't exactly be that big banger for the red zone, but hopefully Baxter's good to go.
  15. Well, as our feelings have no impact on the hiring process, we might as well be gruntled about it. Seriously, he looks like a solid assistant with strong ties to the Southeast. Originally from Florida.
  16. I don't think I can come up with a bigger fraud than Shaka Smart in the entire history of college basketball. Maybe Doug Gottlieb, but it took until this season to name one.
  17. I'm always up for a Tech loss. Any time, any place, any sport. Not quite on the level of OU or aggy, but close.
  18. With a name like Krempin, he seems a natural for the aggy D.
  19. It's not easy wearing green.
  20. Listen. If a guy can talk his way into caddying for the Dalai Lama, I'm guessing he also can recruit 5-star RBs to Austin.
  21. The Mesopotamian Plain is by definition pretty flat. Georgia Tech's campus is known locally as "The Flats." Try to keep up.
  22. All we are is Dusk in the pen.
  23. Blakes is the new Allen Iverson. Same handles, moves, touch and guts. No telling where the bidding will go.
  24. Blakes is easily one of the 2-3 best offensive players in the college game. If we had her, 2024-5 would be our first undefeated season since Jody's. Somebody start tampering.
