  1. Need a big dose of Disu right now, then Abmas later.
  2. Pivotal stretch here. I know, they all are...but just saying. Don't give them any realistic hope at all.
  3. Every roster changes with a coaching hire, provided it's made between seasons. That's part of what you expect and generally need to happen. Of course, among players with eligibility left, you hope the best guys stay and the worst leave, with an overall higher floor set by the replacements. We didn't get that. Losing Morris was a big talent negative. At least Weaver has softened the blow there, in terms of hustle and culture. But we certainly haven't benefited much from Shedrick, Horton, Onyema or even Abmas here lately. The bigger and more physical B12 teams have guys like them for lunch. Meanwhile, the returnees have disappointed as a group. Disu and for the most part Mitchell have done their jobs, but Hunter and Cunningham clearly haven't. Maybe the two stud freshmen who bailed would have made those regressions easier to accept, but that's all moot. Aside from the "Texas" on their jerseys, the only common denominator in all this is the head coach.
  4. Colorado looks really bad on offense, and UCLA isn't much better. Hard to imagine these are even 3 seeds. Hope at least one is in our region.
  5. Well...Beard hired him into a position that let him become interim HC when Beard got himself canned. So in that sense, we can blame Beard. But who am I trying to fool here? No one. Terry's woes are all on Terry.
  6. So let's follow that up by being even worse so far today. Maybe our leaders need to lead.
  7. If that actually worked, I'd have posted it every time we batted after the Atwood HR last night. 😝
  8. The depths of offensive ineptitude are being plumbed in this one.
  9. If there's any good news tonight, it's that it took us going to extra innings in a defenseless game to barely lose to the "best" pitcher in the land. I'm still not calling that positive, but it wasn't like we got blasted.
  10. Down 0-12 since I turned it on. So for everyone's good, I just turned off.
  11. Losing 75-70 sounds optimistic to me. To be that close we'll probably need to play very well and get a little help from our hosts.
  12. Channeling all his focus into the airball FT
  13. Its crossed my mind that perhaps an ISU booster contributed to his Texas NIL.
  14. I think we all did. Other than changing conferences, what do we see (not just today, but any day) that gives us hope for a better season in 2025? I want to think we'll improve, but I certainly can't point to anything that's happening on the court.
  15. Don't expect us to stay that hot all the time.
  16. Sampson said recently that he recruits guys who can score, because he knows he can teach them to play defense. Whatever our approach is, it seems inferior in every way.
  17. In every phase of the game it's been an embarrassing mismatch to this point. I'm hopeful that changes but hardly confident. Seems basketball is hard when the other team is bigger, stronger, quicker and more skilled.
  18. No one was more shocked by that homer than the girl who hit it. An apparent case of "ball finds bat."
