  1. Slide over to McCombs and cheer on the ladies.
  2. Yes, I started to say "knee" but had a hunch it was instead just in the vicinity. Regardless, tough kid to shake that off, swipe second and finish out the win. I hope he gets today off, and maybe tomorrow.
  3. Gotta give it up for ARod last night. Collected a pair of doubles when we were desperately needing offense. Got hit around the knee in another AB, then swiped a bag anyway. Plus drew a walk. I think anyone whining about his D needs to see the whole picture of what we have in this kid. He's a freshman switch hitter who in the short term has had to bat lefty against every pitcher, due to injury... but still produces when it really matters. Great to have him in burnt orange.
  4. Hang it in the loo.
  5. Can the next Nobel Prize in Literature go to a machine? Because it clearly should.
  6. We're winning this thing. Because no matter the time or inning, OU still sucks.
  7. Arky in big trouble now....
  8. Do we literally have no other person who's ever played 3B? Including in Pony League?
  9. Only 12 XBHs despite playing half his games in Stanford's park? Guess he never hits 200-foot fly balls. 😡 #toosoon
  10. I'd say it's a bad look for Bregman.
  11. But first, Vivi Martinez and Cat Osterman. Both preferably tomorrow.
  12. This kid is electric, with great potential as a return man. Pretty sure Sark will let him play when and where he shows he can. Welcome aboard, young man.
  13. So now the Mavs trade that top pick to LA for Bronny? Would be like them.
  14. Recent destruction at the hands of our big sisters in Norman and those portly lasses of B/CS likely left a bad impression on the committee. I'd have put TN over us, too. Glad we're not facing that Buckeye power game again. If we can right the ship and be the real Texas again, I'll feel a lot better about this season as a whole than I currently do. Let's rest up and rock it.
  15. Stoppable force meets movable object.
  16. Love giving up those leadoff walks when we're trying to climb out of a deep pit.
  17. Aggy K to leave them loaded in B9 with the tying run at 1B is the chef's kiss. Series lost to hapless Mizzou. But the hosts did finally score...unearned, on an E6. Heh.
  18. Nobody can hold down the Big Red Machine. Except most other pitchers.
  19. So much for that 0.00 ERA.
  20. Early this spring I heard him say (I think on Coffee & Football) that there was a concern about signing Canady for big money when we already had a budding ace in TK and good team chemistry to protect. Yes, hindsight is 20/20, but I wonder if we now shift our perspective. Not that we'd necessarily have won the Canady bidding war last offseason, but maybe we push harder to find true difference makers.
  21. The Vivi loss was to me catastrophic. The self-destruction of Mac (and maybe we could include Simpson) hasn't been as impactful, but it's hurt us week after week. Seems they and Cit, to some extent, have in turn hurt Kavan. Terrible cascading effect, especially facing SEC competition every week. Maybe White just hasn't had pitching options he trusts enough to pull girls as quickly as some other HCs at top programs do. If that's true, can't say I blame him. But in the end, I assume all HCs (great career records or not) would say the buck stops with them on everything. Like every other Texas fan, I'm desperately hoping we find our way out of this dark maze pronto and that it's a positive springboard for 2026, no matter exactly when 2025 ends.
  22. With the way our men and women played yesterday, I needed something to smile about. Aggy baseball's epic crash and burn in the 9th vs. formerly winless Mizzou was just the ticket. Thanks, baby bro!
