  1. If we're elite, building a resume by blowing out dogs and then wilting against real competition is no more comforting than when our men do it. At least our women won that foulfest against OU, but we clearly have issues. I'm not crediting SC's defense with making us shoot as poorly as we have. Give Preston some run in the third.
  2. Still plenty of time to get back in this one, but so far we're giving off some strong "paper tiger" vibes.
  3. Our hosts are being charitable so far. Let's not waste it.
  4. Only comforting way to look at it. If Booker, Oldacre and Jones had hit 30%, we'd be ahead.
  5. Fair enough. Although in basketball, unfortunately it's the same result.
  6. Has a highly rated Texas team ever looked more lost? Maybe Lee can do something positive.
  7. Someone please let the ladies know the idea is to put it through the rim. Booker looks like me out there.
  8. Aggy losing by 6 at home after missing 20 FTs is good bull.
  9. Weaver going out clearly hasn't helped. Regardless, there's only so much positive you can expect when you're depending on Shedrick to rebound and protect the rim against bigs with a pulse. Kaluma also was mostly a spectator tonight, and we absolutely couldn't afford that.
  10. Quinn has been a fantastic representative of our school and program. His strengths might align better with how the QB position was played a generation or two ago, but so what? Texas football is fully back on the map, and it's in large part due to him. He'll be respected by our fans more as time passes, regardless of what his football future holds.
  11. I said before the season we'd lose three games. To have made it this far without our No. 1 RB, a gimpy No. 1 WR and replacing two great DTs is a testament to our team. I'm mighty proud despite the final score.
  12. If you'd told me after the Judkins TD that we'd be down 14-7 at the half, I'd have been thrilled. But not giving up a jailbreak one play after the Blue TD....
  13. Two of my three wins this year came from picking against Texas. Which I really hated to do, but I always try to be analytical instead of emotional. That said, I'm going to scattergun a fair bit with tonight's three picks: OSU 37, Texas 24 OSU 27, Texas 17 Texas 24, OSU 21 With a range like that, our total yardage is obviously a really wild guess. But I'll go with Texas gaining 385. (Note: Also posted this in the regular game prediction thread. Over there it might well have caused confusion...my bad.)

  15. Haven't forgotten to post my picks. Still trying to decide if I want to max out the chances of a Texas win by taking OSU with all three of them. 🤔
  16. When you can outrun everybody for 98...then truck a bunch of rugged dudes for a red zone score...you might be pretty decent.
  17. It's OK to admit your guys are still woozy from the way the ferocious warriors of Texas A&M worked them over four months ago. Happens to every visiting team who dares enter the guano-spattered confines of Kyle Field.
  18. Auburn's first team might get challenged more than this in practice.
