  1. For having one of the best left tackles since the Mesozoic, we don't exactly seem to be grading the road over there.
  2. My ignore list grows longer by the game.
  3. Jones was only trying to get us 3 more points. At least, that's the lame story he should tell.
  4. Spell him with 23. Not 4, not 7, not 17.
  5. We're close to being truly elite on offense. At least, there are signs of it. Just need everyone healthy and on the same page for more than a game at a time.
  6. Get rid of the trip wire down there.
  7. Crawford couldn't cover me. And a garden snail could cover me.
  8. Venison chili and sausage-shrimp gumbo here. All out of frog legs, sad to say.
  9. Rusty's Revenge If Colorado played TCU tomorrow, they'd draw fewer eyeballs than before. If Texas played Bama again, they'd draw even more than before.
  10. If you can't shoot or defend, the only thing left to do is lose.
  11. Left out another obvious plus for the Astros: no WBC this winter.
  12. I did no math and predicted 96 wins. I didn't think we'd win as often without JV, so that total seemed a reasonable guess. I assumed that minus the shift, both Alvarez and Tucker would easily hit over .300. I really didn't factor in Altuve's injury or Maldy plummeting farther into the abyss. Then again, neither did I see such a good season from Dubon or a great catching prospect ascending out of nowhere. But the biggest thing I overlooked was how often Toothpick would run out an obviously weak lineup for no apparent reason.
  13. I could see Windmill calling for a lot of fly patterns.
  14. They really don't want to get fooled again. Last time, they felt sure they were hiring a sitting "natty" winning coach. Turns out he actually was standing.
  15. Let's add 13 to the list of critical-down targets inside 15 yards. Go his way 6 times minimum this week.
  16. I'm not watching, but it wouldn't shock me if Pop wasn't steering the ball to other guys to see who can and will make things happen in crunch time. Would be all too easy to toss it to Wemby and then just watch.
  17. No wonder Williams wants a slice of ownership. Dude is tired of being the one getting owned. He does make amazing plays look routine. That spin away from pressure to hit Rice in the end zone was just ridiculous. But talk about high maintenance. With that personality, he should move to WR.
  18. If we lose again before a bowl, to me it will be a wasted season. I'm basing that on where we sat the day after beating Bama. We obviously had the talent to run the table from there, so losing against anyone still left on the schedule would flat out be failure. We've already used whatever mulligan we might have had. Losing to OU looks worse by the week.
  19. Head to head? They'd both walk away unharmed.
  20. UGA's been gifted several Mizzou penalties since. Including on this go-ahead drive. Drinkwitz is livid.
  21. In crunch time (of which there was plenty), I figured we'd see more throws to 0 and 13. I mean, I don't think continuing to target 5 or 1 is a mistake, but maybe let's diversify it a bit when we need to keep a drive going.
