With Garcia going out, it's obvious we need to find that voodoo doll and bury it. Along with someone's glove. Perhaps while the player is wearing it. So what's different now from a few years back? I question that it's fully explained away by the departure of Bregman, Tucker, JV or Yuli or a lack of team health. We're not supremely talented across the board, but as much as anything else, there seems to be a serious lack of clubhouse leadership. Maybe that left with the aforementioned players or has been disguised by terrible injury "luck," but I have a hunch it's mainly an Espada issue. And I say that as never having been a fan of Dusty, though as this train's kept heading off the bridge he's started to grow on me.

Brice time. We're not winning jack this year, so throw some fresh meat onto the grill. And just get the inevitable Espada canning over with.

Who's the actual leader of this bunch of misfit toys? Do we have one? If it's Altuve, no wonder we're a wreck.

Surprised we didn't get walked off. Nice 30-pitch meltdown, but at least we're still alive.

If he could hit a lick, he'd have 100-plus RBIs and we'd have at least another 8 Ws. But I'm not bitter.

Meanwhile, fun to see the Yankees melt down hosting the Tigers. Bullpen getting shelled again, down 10-2.l late. Oh, and another glorious spiked OF throw by Bellinger to dump more gas on the fire.

I'm getting pretty inflamed thinking about what terrible "luck" it is to have this stuff keep happening one after another.

NFL Week 1 - The march to Santa Clara
Just continuing a long tradition. They might still become a wild card-level team if they can dodge major injuries, but having Morris on the sideline clearly doesn't help their odds. I think everyone but the Falcons front office knew that when he was hired.

NFL Week 1 - The march to Santa Clara
Against all odds, the Falcons might win this yet. But they're the crown princes of making just the wrong play at just the wrong time. It's pretty amazing how they do it.

For sure. Both those 4th down runs inside the 5 were phenomenal. I had no idea he was so athletic.

NFL Week 1 - The march to Santa Clara
Whenever Atlanta needs to pick up critical rushing yards, I always wonder if they still use Sark's old playbook. Or maybe his current one. Because it's never, ever easy. Even with Bijan.

Many concerning stretches, but all's well that ends well. Teachable moments without sacrificing the W.

Guess I should have watched the first two sets. Because this set was a clown show.

He really does. I'm sure we all have our doubts, but we know he's capable. Get that head on straight and lock in with whoever's catching.

Continuing to bat Altuve 3rd in this stretch is a testament to stubborn stupidity. Of would that be stupid stubbornness? Both fit.

USF punting team with the almost inevitable stupidity to give up the lead. Takes a special level of brain flatlining to push a returner who's been OOB long enough for a commercial break.
