  1. Fulwiley is a true difference maker who can break down nearly any D. Not many others can.
  2. With as much as the SEC seems to go out of its way to create matchups in various sports, you'd think they'd want a second helping of last year's memorable postseason showdown with aggy. Or at least to renew the old rivalry. But no....
  3. Not to mention SC's personal income tax, which ranges up to 6.2%. If she's ever going to move, the school at the western edge of the SEC checks a whole lot of boxes.
  4. They'd better show up with way more hitting, pitching and defense than this. But I hope they don't.
  5. Okie Lite is pretty awful.
  6. Next time we sub at SS, maybe give little Dale a shot.
  7. That approach has served me pretty well. I still follow the team and want them to play well, but I take a lot of breaks compared to back when they actually were good. Houston just lost in inexcusable fashion to a rival with no offense, and I'm not even all that surprised.
  8. At this point, I'd call it a sapling.
  9. Ugh. Sorry I stayed up for that outcome here on the East Coast. But my fault for getting lured in. This offense has so little margin for error that a lot of nights figure to end up like this.
  10. Some really solid 5s in this portal wave. I especially like Okot's skills and athleticism.
  11. Gruntling, this is. 🤘
  12. A little lost in the 2-run sac fly play was the fact Mitchell once again did what she needed to do at the plate. She keeps delivering. You always need your bats to show up, but her hitting has been especially critical with the absence of Vivi and the fact Stewie hasn't been at her peak every week. Having someone solid to protect Atwood of course is also key.
  13. The kind of mobile, highly skilled interior players UConn and SCar put out there don't grow on trees. But if we're going to earn the crown, we need to find at least one who can hold up against the likes of them. Ideally, we'll find a couple. I'm hopeful we can.
  14. Except for that lamentable glitch last year, which may have been more about miscommunication than playing it safe.
  15. Not the first time Henry's done that from second. I think she'll keep trying it until Mike tackles her rounding third.
  16. He might do well. But five Chendall Weavers ain't walking through that door.
  17. Today's rescheduled doubleheader has managed to coincide with the only real chance of rain in Columbia (50-60% chance from 1-4 pm). Cold and windy all day regardless of any moisture. Hopefully we can get in at least one of the games. Tomorrow's forecast for there is drier but still brisk.
  18. Exactly. Not even playing brilliantly would have guaranteed a win tonight. Texas fought hard and showed it's a solid program despite having room to improve in every area. I said several weeks ago that I felt we were in the #3-6 range nationally, and that's basically how it played out. Just hope getting to the top of the mountain doesn't take matching UConn by signing 3 former national high school players of the year. Their talent and execution are on another level.
  19. Good season. Our lack of interior quickness is never more obvious than when they face defenders who have it. Edwards grabbed about as many rebounds as our centers combined. Finding cold-blooded shooters who can score in big games is our clearest need. Maybe Phelia is the missing piece, but we really need more than one.
  20. From up 8 very early to down 14 has been a slow, miserable bleed. But I know it's not shocked anyone here. We're just an athletic shooter or two short of being good enough. But we did take another big step this year. Can't be too disappointed with a team that's pretty much maxed out.
  21. Lee being assertive has been a massive plus.
  22. We have some really bad stretches at times. Lock it down.
  23. Why have your center defend that far out? It's just an invitation to foul or get left in the dust.
