  1. I’m late to the party on this show. Just finished episode 4. The mom screaming about her daughter while Egan is casually strolling around London fucked me up pretty good.
  2. Stewart’s tape is filthy and his HS stats are ludicrous. We have stockpiled an absolute embarrassment of riches at RB.
  3. I thought pink had some epic armpit hair for a second while we’re here, 71264385
  4. Maybe we dodged a bullet this year, gents. Eury Perez, Bieber, and Strider all down with TJ already and we’re only like 10 days into the season. Woof.
  5. El Tiempo sucks and I'll happily die on that hill. Insanely overrated. I've eaten at Los Tios exactly once (Meyerland location) and while it wasn't bad exactly, it reminded me of every single strip mall Tex-Mex joint in the world circa 1994. Scratches the nostalgia itch I guess but I'm not sure why it's so popular in my 'hood. I used to be a big Ninfa's advocate (Galleria location, ain't nobody got time to go all the way to the OG), but I think it has slipped some. We still hit it on occasion when we want to feel classy. Our everyday go-to is Escalante's. Always solid if not exactly remarkable. Whoever mentioned combo plates is spot on. Hit me with a fucking Tampiquena and I'm a happy camper. Haven't had Bludorn but Navy Blue was scrong the one time I've been. Pricey I guess, but you should probably know what you're getting yourself into. Hope @GreenspointTexas is wrong about March. Someone just gave us a big fat gift card to it.
  6. Seems like he was a guy that Choate liked. Wonder if he ends up at Nevada. Can’t find any info on who his dad is. Found one article where he mentioned that his parents both went to Baylor but didn’t go into more detail.
  7. Pieced up, creased up, stayin' dressed to impress. Big boss belt buckle under my Mitchell and Ness.
  8. Intredasting. Only 247 even has a rating for this guy right now. Seems like plenty of name brand schools are involved, though.
  9. Check out the Texans making moves to improve their team. Are they allowed to do that?
  10. I don't understand a world in which the Cowboys drafted some useless bum from Michigan last year at #26 overall but Sweat doesn't go in the top 64 picks.
  11. USC struggling to figure out NIL surprises me. On paper, seems like they should be a net winner.
  12. Switching it up now. God damn this is good stuff.
  13. Tonight’s selection. First still strength bottle I’ve had. Great deal at Spec’s. Strong to quite strong.
  14. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/ shout out to @AP101S, who I think is the original author/maintainer. It's incredibly useful.
  15. I'm sure you have more info on this than I do, but I'm going to be very pleasantly surprised if we don't lose at least 1 and possibly 2 WR that we really want to keep and that will cause major consternation among fans. Not going to name names since I'm just speculating, but it's not that hard to figure out who I'm talking about (it ain't Ryan Niblett). Guys might be saying they're happy on March 28 and truly mean it, but our roster and depth chart presents a big juicy opportunity for anyone in the country looking for a guy to plug in and play big snaps this fall. "See what you can get in the mix at Texas, or come be our #2 guy right here and now" is a strong pitch. I dunno. I'm a pessimist at heart, so maybe I'm just overthinking it.
  16. tokamak's personal top 5 episodes power rankings (of course my kids vehemently disagree, but they have no taste): Rain Sleepytime Granny Mobile Cricket Markets
  17. Well he'll also be running for his life because 40% of our starting OL is going to be guys off the street.
  18. What the fuck is a "shot bar"? Don't all bars serve shots?
  19. NFL contracts and salary cap considerations are way over my head, but my reading of the situation is that we've been kicking the can down the road for years with Dak's contract(s) but you can only do that for so long before you eventually have to eat shit one year. So the Joneses have decided to eat shit this year and hit the reset button on the team's salary cap situation. I'm sure they feel like they can beat other offers if they really want to re-sign him after this year.
  20. The easy explanation is that we took Lacey because we liked him, he wanted to commit, and we had dreams of a Lacey/Ryan Williams combo. Russell wasn't really in the picture at that time. Now Russell has blown up, we decided we really like him, and the plan is to recruit both guys hard and let the chips fall where they may. The puzzle piece that doesn't fit for me is that Lacey was kind of shaky for a while but lately appears to be getting firmer in his commitment, if anything. He canceled his other OVs. The trend is the opposite of what you'd expect given the situation.
  21. It appears that Baltimore is a huge port for roll-on/roll-off cargo. Not just cars, but construction and farm equipment also. It's pretty interesting on Google Maps, you can see a ton of excavators and stuff like that parked there at the port. Containers should be able to go to other east coast ports without too much trouble (trucking will probably cause some headaches), but I wonder if the facilities and capacity exist elsewhere to offload all the cars and machinery that usually go to Baltimore.
  22. I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but it seems like there is a huge difference between this: and this: Francis_Scott_Key_Bridge_Eastern_View.jpg.webp
