  1. What is he up to these days/where does one see those stats? X account? I was just thinking about that name the other day.
  2. Kinky Obligatory:
  3. We do not have a 2.69 team ERA.
  4. I miss the Blatt…. And dogpiles in Omaha
  5. The Astros swept the Phillies with a series score of 5-1. At the halfway point, tied with the cubs for third best record in the majors, 2.5 back of the Dodgers and Tigers.
  6. Pena will 100% be selected to be an All Star
  7. Halfway home. On pace for 96-66 with Jake Meyers third best OPS, Altuve negative WAR and Yordan appearing in 29 games. Just like we all drew it up back on page 1. P.S. Jon Singleton is back in the system! (And Whitley is not).
  8. 12-0!!! 3-0 start. Next up, cubs who have an identical 48-33 record. Then the Rockies. Then the dodgers who are currently 50-31 win all 3 series and could very easily have the best record in the Majors (or at worst, neck and neck with the Tigers.
  9. Bittersweet…. sweet: Helluva sweep in a series you score 5 runs?! Bitter: we’re due for a 12-0 thrashing tomorrow at the hands of the cubs….at a game that I’ll be in attendance
  10. That move to go to King really pisses me off
  11. Fuccck have a day Abreu
  12. Last time we swept Philly Roy Oswalt was finishing the game in left field (2010)
  13. Man that was a big K on 3-2 to the leadoff batter
  14. In hereby petition to deduct yesterday's 8th inning caratini HR from last night and apply it to today.
  15. Yes the plan was to get through the 8th playing with fire and then Abreu to close it out. when it should have been brown through 8, then Abreu for the 9th. or brown 7, Abreu 8th and Hader 9th (only threw 14 pitches tues, 16 pitches last night).
  16. Especially when Abreu and Hader aren’t both available … which “why a reliever can’t pitch three days in a row” is an entirely different, but not dissimilar, conversation
  17. I’m pretty sure it’s happened in mlb history, and pretty recently well… I feel like I just heard about someone doing this. For the Astros, I think this week in 1983 is as close as you are going to get:
  18. I researched back to 1980 when you asked at the beginning of the month if we ever won 1-0 in back to back games and I don’t think it has. some stretches where we win 1-0 and then 2-0 or 3-0 a day or two later, but never low scores like that 3 days in a row.
  19. Death, taxes, Astros leading the Phillies 1-0 late in a ballgame.
  20. Why not 8 (exponential)?!
  21. Don’t look now but this group of no-names is only 2.5 behind the best record in baseball.
  22. Get that man a properly fitting helmet so he can focus on the bat flip
  23. 2.69 Team ERA for the month of June is pretty impressive. Down to 2.13 of you take out those two weekend games against the Angels.
  24. Y’all enjoy the sweep for me. we’re gonna get rolled Friday when I’m there (and Walter is on the mound)
