Is the delay because there is some flight risk or just lack of a coach and uncertain of need.
There’s a delay because more players are going to enter the portal in the Spring. The super DT that you want them to get, doesn’t exist in the portal right now.

Yes he has. He’s a 3-tech. It’s not untraditional at all.

You're trying to use tackles as a measure of effectiveness for a DT.
The funniest thing about this is so many people groaned when we lost Trill Carter and he only had 9 tackles all season.People aren’t even using the stupid measurement consistently.

Someone had to be, but he was also a big step down from the starters.
Everyone was a big step down from the starters, the starters were unbelievably great.
We’re not going to match the production at DT, it was extraordinarily exceptional this past year. But that doesn’t mean Broughton or Savea are bad players.

Savea is a fine replacement for Trill Carter. I’d gladly take him.
There is no DT currently available that can come even close to replacing Murphy or Sweat. Maybe something happens in the Spring window, but that caliber of player at that position doesn’t come around very often in the portal.

I'm honestly surprised they took three portal receivers. Have to think that may drive a DeAndre Moore or a Ryan Niblett away after spring (hopefully not Wingo); but I agree reloading the WR room with the best talent available is the move with Ewers coming back.
Yep, I assume Niblett and/or Moore will transfer at some point, but Sark is trading in unknowns for knowns, can’t be mad at that.
There’s going to be great WRs in the portal every year and clearly Sark can land them. It’s one position none of us should spend any time worrying about.

They aren't related at all. Eli was at Mater Dei or some other Cali school. Dezz went to IMG from Virginia.
They are brothers. Mater Dei and IMG are both high schools that recruit nationally. And Eli transferred to IMG before his senior year anyway.

if Jedd Fisch flirts with Washington is it possible? No, I don’t even want to say it. But maybe a certain WR starts to look around?
How many WRs do you want us to take?

Blues brothers is not good. I’m convinced people only claim to like it because they think they’re supposed to.
The whole “let’s gather some of the greatest musicians in the world and have them play background for two SNL dipshits with little to no musical talent” is a hard pass for me.

Davis went into the portal and the staff convinced him to stay. So they clearly thought he was worth fighting for.

Yeah, Bo Davis definitely cost us Caldwell. Gonna be difficult to get a good DL before we hire a position coach. Hopefully that hire happens pretty soon

That sucks. I wonder how big the brinks truck they had to rob to pay for this was. Had to be something crazy for us to not beat it.

Some good news for Ohio State fans on what I’m sure is a miserable night for them.

I didn't. He looked maxed out. I'm hoping Texas stays away.
Even at Duncanville, Blackshire simply looked like an elite football player more than he actually was.

How in the actual fuck is anyone surprised by this? Only OB dipshits swallowing Koolaid would have thought he is returning.
I don’t get it either. He’s been consistently ranked as the #2 TE all season behind only Brock Bowers and people expect him to stay? I get being hopeful, but there’s a thin line between that and delusion.

This dude must’ve been otherworldly bad in USC practices.

Recruiting rankings have always had a lot of bullshit baked into them, but they seem to have gotten even worse over the last 5-10 years.

This is a big deal for the Miami’s and Ohio State’s out there that still don’t have a QB.
-
I’m not even mad, we almost stole a game we had no business winning.
Great season. Sark has the team headed in the right direction, secondary just isn’t there yet. Kudos to Penix, he’s the real deal.

This sucks. Felt like this was the year. This team could have easily withstood an injury to anyone else other than Rori.

Apparently he got word he's likely the second TE off the board behind Bowers.
I feel like this was already common knowledge. Most of the biggest draft geeks have had him rated as the #2 TE all year long.
The Sanders staying stuff always seemed like wishcasting to me.

This reminds me of the cohort here that was insisting that Sanders should play DE and not TE.
That wasn’t an unpopular opinion at the time, largely because pass rusher was a bigger need at the time. Sanders was a 5-star at both.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls

I think this is one of the two biggest reasons. Almost everyone signs on ESD, we’ve shortened the recruiting cycle by two months.
The other big reason is that recruiting discussions have been fractured into a bunch of different threads. The transfer portal thread is almost 200 pages, the aggy thread is over 200 pages, the coaches and supporting staff thread is over 50 pages and we create a new thread for every single commit.
Also, there’s an OU thread, an NIL thread, an aggy screenshot thread, a SEC screenshot thread, a 9.95ers thread, etc.
Some of these existed on shaggy, but a lot of them didn’t.
