  1. Is the burning debris in the fields from downed drones?
  2. Not just you - on tapa at least I’m having to hold down the link and open in chrome
  3. New hotness dropping… https://bsky.app/profile/specialkhersoncat.bsky.social/post/3lqrx2ym7m22d
  4. Pops had a ‘97 540i Sport as his company car (man, things were good for these boomers). Anyway, I pushed that thing well north of 140mph on multiple occasions… just a blast to drive!
  5. I recall reading somewhere that they also used local Russian telecom networks were available to pilot the drones from afar… either way, absolutely brilliant.
  6. What did the government do, Just backing big business? IMO “Additive Free” should be a full on classification administered BY the government, but alas…
  7. Did anyone go to this last year? I find the lineup to be lacking, but still seems like a good time… https://www.whiskiesoftheworld.com/tour/austin#pour-list
  8. Agreed, though this is more akin to a simultaneous SAS strike on Taranto, Brest, Le Havre, Toulon and Kiel in my opinion. The complexity and elegance of execution are simply breathtaking… I hope there’s more!
  9. There are SOME restrictions on Year of Manufacture…. They wouldn’t let me run my 1972 Farm Truck plates because it’s not in active service as a farm vehicle
  10. Mid this week looks promising, but we’ll see…
  11. Or, just like folks suggested about air defense, it won’t… and Ukraine will be able to continue with such operations. Regardless, it’s a huge win… waking up to this is like adult Christmas morning. Fuck ‘em!
  12. Ah shit, didn’t even think of that… I’ll go offer my chainsaw services
  13. We lost this old girl in the neighborhood this week… likely one of the longest tenured trees in the area. [emoji22]
  14. Honestly, they need the business.
  15. Driving through the neighborhood this AM, it’s clear that we were very lucky. The storm was also very indiscriminate… one neighbor had a 50YO oak fall into their yard with no damage… another had a ~250YO oak fall right on their house. It’s an absolute mess out there and was wild to see how much lighter the damage got as I drove north.
  16. This is when shit got real in Hyde Park… Thankful to have power back and good luck to those of you still waiting.
  17. We got absolutely destroyed in central Austin… will post video later, but…
  18. Yeah, just moved the truck under cover… good luck everyone!
  19. My mom had two of them… that 5 speed V8 hauled ass!
  20. Holy shit at almost 7” up north… that’s a latta watta
  21. This is awesome… getting absolutely doused in central Austin
  22. Ok, the revisit was solid - The glencairn likely helped, but I think the ice was the culprit. In any regard, I’ll now move this to the “solid” category. Perhaps I’m alone here, but the overall profile reminds me of Beam. Heavy dose of peanut on the nose and a little pickle on the palette. Back end carries burnt caramel notes, robust spice and a surprising burn for a BiB. This is growing on me fast, but I won’t let it touch ice in the future… Anyway, to follow with your notes on disappointing wheaters, you can add this to the list: I’m honestly sad as this is the first bottle of RE that I found lacking character. Maybe I’ll like it better tomorrow… [emoji23]
  23. Appreciated - Could have been that my palette was off, but I had it on its own well clear of dinner, which was pretty plain. I did pour it over a single cube and will try it neat tonight, but the most stringent notes were sour / spoiled fruit and burlap… not exactly an exciting combination. Will try it neat tonight and report back…
  24. Really don’t know what to think here… part of me is thrilled this exists and the practical side of me is flummoxed… I suppose the 22LR wouldn’t kick TOO badly…
