    Deftones

Deftones was my favorite band in most of high school. We drove up from Rockport to see them at the Austin Music Hall July 2000 between jr/sr year of HS and just had a blast. The concert melted our fucking faces off, one of my friends almost passed out and had to get pulled over the front railing. What an amazing introduction to Austin that was for us. They hold up so well, I still listen to them frequently. Great workout music.
  2. Man I fucking love Scarlet Fire, everything about it but especially the jam into Fire
  3. There isn't one "perfect" song in my opinion, hell I think Petty has written and recorded at least half a dozen songs that I would consider "perfect". If I had to pick one today it might be Swingin' Guy is another one that has written multiple songs that I consider perfect. For my money it doesn't get any better than Anyhow I Love You - a salty "love" song recorded with Emmylou and Waylon. Hungry Eyes by Merle is perfect because you can feel his life story in the lyrics The Grateful Dead would probably disagree that any of their song performances were "perfect", but I think they have a quite few, Wharf Rat is one, haunting I haven't seen any hip hop mentioned yet so I have to add one, the first song from Nas debut album with DJ Premier producing, it just feels so real and raw.
  4. Imagine putting this much thought and energy into defending Chuckles Strong
  5. 🚨👆DUDE ALERT👆🚨
  6. I've thought all along that Sanders would end up at DE, but after watching him in person last week he doesn't possess natural pass rushing skills and I think would take significant time to make an impact on D. On the other hand he appears to be an above average route runner (especially for his size), is a matchup nightmare, has great hands and is extremely hard to bring down after the catch. From what I saw Ryan lined him up exclusively at outside WR so I assume he'll need a lot of work to develop his blocking, but he would make an immediate impact as a flex TE.
  7. I get that Pruitt is a great DC, but is Saban really going to replace Golding coming off a NC run that included fantastic defensive performances against 2 of the best offenses in the country with a guy that potentially has a show cause looming? I don't think Sark will touch him either.
  8. I’m confused by the lack of former Nebraska OC names being floated
  9. Only got one pic of the prime rib roast I did for Christmas this year, did reverse sear in the oven and came out perfect. Can’t wait to make another one
  10. Green battles, imo.
  11. The game last night just pissed me off more. It’s absolutely unacceptable that Herman lost 3 games in the big 12 this season with the roster we have. What a massive fucking failure, if Herman had any honor he would have committed seppuku at midfield after the game last night.
  12. Tom Herman is a fuckface idiot
  13. Liberty Hill couldn't stop much against Rouse's spread, run or pass. They got a couple picks in the 2nd half that decided the game.
  14. Probably going to go to Rouse v Liberty Hill this weekend, hope Rouse can make it a good game.
  15. I've watched Texas land top 10 after top 10 class for most of the past decade and where has that gotten us? As long as Texas is taking care of it's shit then we will land the talent necessary to compete for the big 12 every season. Finding a coach that can identify the right talent and develop it is key. Herman was able to acquire talent but the talent was not properly developed primarily due to his staff hiring decisions.
  16. I'm not sure Campbell is a great fit for Texas, but to dismiss what he's done at ISU, a program that went 3-9 / 2-10 / 3-9 in the 3 seasons before he became head coach and has no appeal to top recruits, as "mirroring" what Tom Herman has done at Texas is asinine.
  17. Dude must have really wanted out
  18. OU holds on every drop back
  19. OU is the luckiest damn team
