    Arrested Development GIF

I'm not saying you're wrong on the appeal aspects but I don't see any reason at all we are focusing any attention on her. None!

This dipshit aggie is the one who deserves the love.

It sounds like you are talking about Johnny Eightball.

Deion actually succeed in the NFL and Johnny Eightball is to Primetime's grift what he was to his NFL career. Yes, both are charlatans, but Deion fools major universities Johnny fools his minion. Big difference.

There's not an NFL head coach that would hire him if he would even pretend to be willing to lower himself to that role.

I'd like to think you're correct but knowing the Mensa membership of NFL coaches and what they think a "flashy hire" like Deion could do for positive perception of THEM, not sure I fully agree.

Edit - and say what you will about Prime Time, but his fucking grift game is top notch.

Since it's aggy related... An random aggy Instagram man-whore claims to have had an affair with Nick Saban's married daughter, Kristen. Said he's being blackmailed by some random person who has questionable sourced pics of them hugging each other, while he's wearing a t-shirt with Saban wearing a crown. WTH and who cares?

This appears, to me at least, to fall in or at least be aligned to sexual blackmail.

There is an entire division of the FBI dedicated to such crime. https://www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help-you/scams-and-safety/common-scams-and-crimes/sextortion

Further, unless he was married at the time, I don't really see what real risk he faced with such an outing, which he ultimately did himself.

Were this real, best first step, inform the woman, then contact FBI. Then tell this imaginary blackmailer to go pound sand via FBI.

    I think this is fabricated.

I said it from the beginning- this is just Daddyball executed at the highest level ever. He won't be there beyond this season, he won't be taking another job and he will leave a smoldering pile of ashes as he blames everyone else for the unmitigated disaster he created

At the end of the day, the moment he doesn't have a child's football career to promote, he's gone.

Said that a ways back. He has zero interest in coaching college football and really isn't doing anything beyond promoting himself and hoping to find some players to promote his children.

    That's it in totality.

He'll end up finding a position job in the NFL or TV job around May of 2025.

    Mark it.

Fuck him. Take away his clearance. Use of illegal narcotics is against having a clearance. Sure, lots of people in DC get high and do rails (on Colombian chicks asses I hear), but they do not interview and admit to it.

I don't care if people get high. Just want to see this South African lose his clearance and tax subsidies. Shit, give them to the people he laid off to set up their own business.

Your check for $9.95 is in the mail. My friend asked if you know where these politicians find the Columbian sex workers. I said I'd ask.

This directly impacts me and for that reason I am very upset. Okay, it doesn't have any impact on me but I am still very upset.

I'm just going to suggest you try to reduce your frustration. May I suggest some pron?

Hopefully, you have a good VPN if you're in Texas.

Each of the second tier outlets has a left-center bias, so I see from where you are coming. News, however, doesn’t happen in a vacuum, and explaining  the context of news is, to me, an important part of journalism.  Knowing their bias is on me. Which led me to mbfc, which, you will find, says what you say about op-ed.

Fair points and I think we are pretty close in position overall.

I do appreciate the reference to mbfc and still plan to check it out, despite not having so to this point. So, thanks again.

Edit - I want to point out one thing I think/hope we both agree with based on our dialog. That is, I truly wish more people looked at, read, listened to more of these outlets, particularly to read informed and verified information from sources not always in line with their own position on policy/politics. The world would be a better place, imo. At the end of the day, I really don't think there is as much divide as the group think and propaganda machines produce. But, that's just like my opinion, man.

Didn’t I already say the same thing in my post you quote?

Hmmmm... sort of but we differed slightly in our views and I'm of the position and opinion that the nuance of variation in our views was worth noting. Hence my post.

What I don't get is why anyone really gives a shit?  I mean, I get protesting against the Vietnam War in the U.S.  You or someone you know might get drafted and die in a foolish, lost war.  I get protesting in support of BLM in the U.S.  You or someone you know might get pulled over and murdered by the police.  I don't get protesting for/against Israel or Palestine in the U.S.  None of these people are affected by what's going on half a globe away.

I get some may view acts by one side or the other as evil, and that it may even be correct.  But even so, what the fuck is all this going to accomplish?  How is this going to impact anything going on in Gaza?  If all these universities divest from Israel tomorrow, is Israel even going to notice?  No.  The holocaust gives Israel an apocalyptic world view and they do not fuck around when it comes to their security.  There is no way they would allow themselves to be in a position where they could be brought to their knees by US universities redirecting endowment investments.

It just seems like everyone, from students to University Presidents to Governors to police would have a lot more proximal problems to be concerned about that they might actually have a chance to positively affect.  Which makes me think this isn't about Israel or Gaza at all, rather about the theatrics of civil unrest on college campuses in an election year.

You and others have asked, and rightfully so, what is driving these protests. Not, what are they in support of, (which I don't think most of them could answer anyway) but what's driving it. It's a valid question, and just as there were multiple behind the scenes masters pulling the "BLM" puppet strings, I suspect the same for these protests.

I’ve been reading a lot about this Supercharger team gutting;, all I can really say is that it makes zero sense at all. Of all the moves, this has to be the dumbest one. Their charging network was their strength. It set them apart from any and everyone. You can’t drive anywhere without seeing superchargers. It’s almost frustrating (primarily not seeing non-Tesla chargers).

But it was a thing he understood - if you make EVs you needed a way to charge them at places other than your house. They have the big lead, but if they aren’t working at it, that can shrink or be lost.

Ketamine is a hell of a drug.

There is a lot of stupidity going on.

This and the development/design folks getting slashed are the two that, were I an investor, would give me the greatest concern.

    Both are madness.

    It’s finals week

I'll go ahead and bet the under (without even knowing the number) on the qty of engineering, finance, business, and hard science attendees on any campus.

My nephew attends UTD. He's getting his masters in one of those... I don't have to ask.

You’re reinterpreting past protests through the lens of hindsight. Every successful protest movement of the past was initially met with scorn, ridicule, and violent opposition by the establishment and its dumb, reactionary defenders. Every time, the protesters were criticized at the time as performative, ineffective, counterproductive, ungrateful rabble-rousers. That was true of those who fought for labor laws, women’s suffrage, civil rights, and an end to the Vietnam War. Only after the dust settled and the public caught up to reality were they proven righteous.

Yeah, that's not always true and "good guys" aren't always the ones protesting.

Calling into question the motives and agenda of folks not just protesting but actually committing criminal acts is not only justified, but  logical and sensible.

One of the main problems for them is that this is NOT true.  The message is fractured and scattered.  There are some pushing for divestiture. Some simply want a "Free Palestine."  There are others coopting the protests for a more inflammatory anti-Israeli stance, and then some just wandering around yelling "oink like a piggie oink oink."

But I do agree that, for those that are actually protesting in favor of divestiture, they're doing it wrong, in the wrong place, to the wrong people, in the wrong way, and they're letting themselves get overrun and drowned out by the idiots.

In net, I really do wonder how many know what, exactly they hope to accomplish with their protests. Yes, they are also co-opted by general shit flingers looking for "fun" too.

I recall speaking with one of the Occupy folks calmly and civilly in Chicago.

After the broad strokes of the "message" (general propaganda that meant nothing really) I asked what he actually hoped would be accomplished. What change did he want? What was the goal?

He really didn't have any answer at all. Eventually, I just left and went to a bar.

I am not saying that my single example is representative of the entire group then or if it similar to this one, but... I would wager I'd get similar results with a similar conversation.

    @YGIFS

good target lock on. Two targets, hard to miss.

Well, considering that she doesn't even have an IMDB profile and frankly a surprising lack of social media presence that I could easily discover..

I'm going to just go with, someone us probably funding her protest efforts.

    Individually...

While I acknowledge firsthand how easy it is to get sucked in, I humbly suggest that everyone just ignore this shit because it isn't important, it just seems like it should be.  It's really just a bunch of dicks, whether the protestors or the cops/elected officals, playing games with no real consequences. It's theater.  There are more interesting and more important things to spend your time and energy on.  Like getting laid.  Or taking a nap.  Or taking a nap after you get laid.

I'm starting a protest if I don't get my sammich after sex and before my nap.
