  1. Who did you fish with? WP Flyfisher? The staff thing is a much deeper issue, unfortunately. Housing is terribly expensive so everyone is short staffed and many businesses can't even be open all the hours they want to be open. And many of those people living and working in the valley have to work 2 jobs to afford to live up there. So they're burned out. Doesn't excuse shitty attitudes or workers who are clearly high, but that's why businesses put up with it. If they didn't, they'd have no staff. So we get what I call mountain service. It can be good, and it can be terrible, or anywhere in between. You just have to roll with it. Glad to hear you had a good trip. Where did you eat?
  2. Fuck you. I'd love Russ because he's coming off the bench. He's not starting. Once you get a chip, you can chirp.
  3. Good for him. The valley badly needs long term rentals. If you're looking to buy, I'd look sooner than later. Things aren't getting cheaper.
  4. Mountain service can sometimes be more miuntain-y than others.
  5. I can't fucking wait until my house is done. Not being up there much has been killing me this summer. You over in Moose Run again?
  6. 8-9 years? That's 2021 Max.
  7. I've seen plenty of drug use by employees, not gonna lie. I've also seen lots of slow mountain service. Have never seen unhappy service workers in WP, though. Where did you run into that? Sorry that happened.
  8. What is BMW doing with the new M5? It weighs 1150 pounds (that's not a typo) more than the old one. Curb weight is 5390 pounds, more than a 2WD Tahoe. And it's slower than the old one, too. Can't imagine it is very nimble, either.
  9. Depends on where you want to be. Can't go wrong with Boulder or Golden. I would pick Boulder, personally, but it's a little farther from Coors Field.
  10. As someone on both sides of that fence, Audi reliability is much improved from where it was in the early 2000s. That said, Toyota is #1 in reliability for a reason.
  11. I know they don't make 200s anymore, but my 2021 Landcruiser is the best vehicle I've ever owned. 46k miles and just oil and tires. Has never been to the dealership and never will at this point.
  12. I'd like to see the Nuggets keep him, but not sure they can. Someone is going to overpay.
  13. Makes more sense that Utah is good with it.
  14. If you couldn't find good food and drink, you're definitely doing it wrong. But yes, it's been hot lately.
  15. Does what Marko says even matter anymore? Horner's still in charge over there. You come at the king, Helmut, you best not miss.
  16. Yeah, something like 3 or 6 months. We ended up having to book the private room to get in.
  17. Yeah, French Laundry and Bottega are two of my favorite meals ever. They're maybe 100 yards from each other in Yountville.
  18. I'm more impressed with St. Helena having 14 and Yountville with 10. And Healdsburg with 7. That's 31 in a very small area.
  19. If the Suns want LeGM and Bronny, they need to make room.
  20. Found an Ascari Blue/Rotor Gray with Black Optics, Executive Package, S Sport package and Sport Resonator inbound to my local dealer. It's built and waiting for the boat. Should be here mid to late August.
  21. Except when it mattered. That part is kind of important, IMO.
  22. Meh, McDavid was invisible for more than half of the finals, including game 7. Not sure how that translates to Conn Smythe. Florida won the Cup because of Bobrovsky.
  23. Especially since he was invisible in their 4 losses. Bob deserved it.
