  1. That's literally all I can see whenever I see his face.
  2. I still remember one painting he had. It was probably 10 feet by 10 feet (or maybe bigger) and was cowboys riding up to a high mountain lake. Was spectacular.
  3. Fuck that. I stand up immediately purposely to block the aisle. If you want to get past me, you better be nice and have a good reason.
  4. Sure it is. If the FA is right there and your kid can't get their attention, a light touch to the arm or shoulder is perfectly acceptable. I believe his side of the story because the FBI immediately let him go and United has already apologized to him.
  5. Only space for one sub, unfortunately. We are probably 60/40 tv/music. Ported would probably do what I want better, but their ported subs are fucking enormous (like 30" deep). I cannot stick out past the media cabinet because it's a tight walkway to begin with. Dimensions are tougher on remodels than new construction.
  6. Anyone have experience with SVS subs? Looking to get the best one that will fit next to my media cabinet, so it can't protrude out past the media cabinet (will be next to a walkway). Media cabinet is 20" deep and I'm guessing we'll put it 3-4 inches off the wall, so I need to be sticking out 22" or less. That rules out their bigger ported subs so I'll probably need to go sealed. Any opinions on the SB-16 Ultra or SB-4000? Room is big with vaulted ceilings so I want to fill the space the best I can.
  7. Yep. 15 yards is asking for something bad to happen.
  8. Yeah, I think you're right. And that building (more like mansion) had one of the largest collections of western art anywhere. It was really impressive, but shit was everywhere. Like we had to put some sculptures on the floor so we could use the desk space.
  9. That is the most Ferrari thing I've ever read. Oh, noes! Our system!
  10. I used to audit Mr Gatti's when I was in SA in the late 90s. Their HQ was in the hill country in a big house with original western art all over the place. It was strange, but cool. /csb
  11. I have those Sonys as well. Sound is great as is the noise canceling. My only complaint is that they get hot.
  12. Forgot that you can also raft Clear Creek (starting from Empire area - there are a few outfits that do it) as well, but that's a good hour from Grand Lake so might be too far.
  13. There are crazy people everywhere. And Marv was nuts, no doubt about it.
  14. You can ride the Gondola at WP. And it's free if you have an Ikon pass. Otherwise you need to pay for it. The alpine slide is gone as of now. They are putting a new one in but it's not in right now. There's putt putt golf at the WP resort base as well, but it's not a great course since it's covered in snow half the year. There are a ton of flat biking trails in the WP and Fraser area as well as more challenging ones if that's what you want (I can be more specific if this is what you want). A lot of people like biking the Fraser to WP trail and stopping at breweries along the way for a beer. Monarch Lake is a ~4 mile hike around the lake that is mostly flat. You can always go part of the way and turn around. It's a beautiful lake and you drive right up to it. There are a ton of hikes in RMNP but unless you get in early, you'll need a timed entry permit. You can fish in the Fraser River as well as the Colorado. Not sure there is any tubing (would be really cold), but there might be some outfits that will raft you down the CO.
  15. Downhill mountain biking is not for the faint of heart. Lots of folks get seriously injured doing that. But to each his own. What is the fitness/activity level for the group? That will determine a lot of suggestions.
  16. If you get SAD, Denver is great for that. 300 days of sunshine a year. And I've never worn a fleece to dinner in June unless you're in the mountains.
  17. It's been a rough offseason. Not gonna lie. They have to get another ball handler off the bench and get rid of Nnaji's contract.
  18. Especially if they were drafted during a Taco Bell Quesarito commercial.
  19. Not every school in America gets oil royalties, chief.
  20. Make sure you visit Evergreen in winter. It may be close to Denver but it is in the mountains when it comes to weather. Some (including me) love that. But not everyone. It's still winter in April and early May.
  21. I've never had trouble getting in with specialists in Denver. Finding a PCP can be challenging, though.
  22. It was hot as fuck when I was in Santa Fe earlier this summer. But I'm coming from CO, not the seventh level of hell that is Houston.
