  1. Mostly because of Alaska 261 which was a maintenance failure. I guess Notoriously is probably a bit strong.
  2. Alaska is notoriously bad at Maintenance. Flight is based on real world Alaska airlines incident, but Whip did not in the end save the day, although the plane was flown upside down for a bit.
  3. Just a second there, Professor....we fixed the glitch....
  4. Really, just a couple of play action RPO bootlegs with a two layer passing option would have pulled the safeties out of the box, and allowed Michigan to have the big, time killing dagger drive they kept looking for starting 10 minutes into the 2nd quarter. But Khaki pants got his title, so what the fuck do I know. Michigan, for better or worse, was definitely the best team in college football this year.
  5. Harbaugh definitely played "fuck around, find out" for much of the game. For the life of me, I could not figure out why he didn't use McCarthy's legs in the RPO/Roll Out game to offset the heavy boxes the Huskies were setting up on first down.
  6. From a Washington perspective, Texas was the last in a long line of teams this season that sat stunned at the end of the game and then the week after when the Huskies were barely holding it together, saying “How the fuck did we lose to those guys?” Shit, Oregon had to go through it twice.
  7. He’s a winner for sure. So was Ken Dorsey. The guy is a disposable college QB on a team that leans on its defense and running game.
  8. Penix might have played himself of the second pick, but McCarthy has played himself out of the draft
  9. I’m just deeply confused as to why Michigan continues to rely on McCarthy’s arm instead of legs other than that one broken play
  10. There's some truth here, but the McDonnell Douglas execs who took over Boeing (that's my favorite part of the merger, somehow through financial wizardry, McDonnell Douglas used Boeing's money to be bought and take control of BA!) also were the ones who moved the HQ to Chicago expressly to get the managers away from the engineers in Seattle. Basically they couldn't cut costs the way they wanted too if the engineers could walk in somebodies office and say "This is going to kill people and let me explain why"
  11. I will say, and seriously, no CR, Trump did snooker the fuck outta them on that Air Force One Contract. They were so desperate to get in the Administration's good graces they signed a no overage contract with required delivery. Narrator: "The project ran millions over estimate" Buncha dummies.
  12. Captain Kirk: Note to Galley; Romulan Ale no longer to be served at diplomatic functions.
  13. Somebody posted above that Harris is bringing in a couple of outside sports exes to do a comprehensive leadership search. My guess is they need somebody to stay on and manage the office until they get their leadership team in place. My guess is Mayhew won't be there too long, if he even makes it another 24 hours. But you need somebody in c-suite to manage HR, sales/marketing, facilities, and the scouts in the interim.
  14. Boeing rents like half the office space in Pentagon City. I drive by it everytime I make a Costco run. I get they are separate businesses between civil and military, but overall, they are printing money.
  15. Now that people are taking Washington seriously, I think their magic finally wears off. This game is going to be the ultimate test of Mack Brown's old maximum that long drives in the first half are points on the board in the 4th quarter. Michigan has been running into 8 man fronts all season. Either Washington's DL and LB are going to nut up, or they will be ground to dust.
  16. Is David Tepper ever going to realize you can’t money whip the NFL the same way as Wall Street?
  17. lol. Of all the mid season firings, Smith was the one that should have happened and didn’t.
  18. Cam Newton is silently weeping somewhere . He gives off that defensive minded sober presence that just gives some owners a hard on.
  19. As a Saints fan, Inpersonally believe he should be given a lifetime coaching position. He may not be the coach Atlanta needs, but he’s definitely the one they deserve. Speaking of which, it sounds like the Saints are going to give Dennis Allen one more year and fire Pete Carmichael, the OC. Which fucking sucks, but let’s be real, Mickey Loomis is the defacto owner of that team.
  20. I’d wager the Commanders will completely clean house, including front office. Then they will begin a ground up rebuild.
  21. It’s the Yeti question, right? Look, if you are going to do a multi day fishing trip in the gulf and need ice preservation, okay, sure. But 99% of Yetis will never hold ice for anything longer than a bbq or at worst, an overnight brisket smoke. An off brand cooler at a fraction of the price will do just fine. It’s the brand, not the product.
  22. While I think there is truth to this, I upgraded to a Tutor Pelagos recently on my 50th because I wanted an upscale tool watch that I can take to hell and back and has some special meaning to me personally. It’s like Japanese chef knives: I don’t need them, a Victorinox will cook you a Michelin quality meal just fine. It’s that it represents something special to me about my life journey and passion. Eye/beholder/etc.
  23. Hamilton’s slam, go very hard. I’ve probably gotten at least a half dozen compliments from people wearing watches that cost way more over the years.
  24. After they ripped off a couple of inside runs on trap plays, I wouldn't have subbed out and just gone hurry up and hit that play over and over until I finally needed to spell the RB. It's an underrated skill of a coach putting aside his ego, realizing he's got the defense in a bad personnel set, and just picking at the same wound over and over while his players have the stamina to do it.
