  1. I’m curious about what Milwee’s career path looks like from here. If Sark continues to have success you’d think he’d eventually be a commodity as a protege, but I’ve never heard his name come up for any jobs. He has a pretty great gig as is, Co-OC title and QB coach and he’s not exactly as young as I thought he was (38). His role doesn’t really give him the chance to prove himself as a P5 play caller or group of 5 head coach though. If he has aspirations for that, maybe eventually he has to take a step down and take a group of five OC gig to get some experience outside of being Sark’s right hand man.
  2. Futureman is worthless because everything he posts is a bit that seems to be for the entertainment of only himself. Helobious seems sincere in his posts, just with an incredible rate of being wrong almost 100% of the time. So I think there is some value in reading those posts to check yourself if your takes ever align. Case in point.
  3. The five, err, six posters you meet in heaven. Mediocre joke brought to you by a drive by quipper
  4. Funny, I tend to agree about Gangs of New York but see KOTFM completely differently. Generally thought the cast and performances were great (aside from whatever Brendon Fraser was doing) and the pacing wasn’t a problem. I felt the 3.5 hrs, but not in a bad way if that makes sense. More so, I really push back that it was a poorly directed movie when there are a few sequences that were so well done and memorable that only a handful of people could have pulled them off. Specifically the ending, which was incredible. I don’t know if anyone else alive could have made it work.
  5. White hot take here. What makes you say it was poorly directed?
  6. This is no joke. During the pandemic, my wife and I were going through my (still living) father-in-law’s vhs collection because she wanted to digitize old family movies. I learned way more about his porn preferences that day than I expected.
  7. This may have been discussed, but just saw this in an article on the Athletic I didn’t realize players transferring from an SEC school in the spring window aren’t eligible immediately if they move in-conference. Makes it even tougher for Alabama to offset these losses, they can’t really look at SEC players once the portal reopens for them
  8. And one of the outgoing transfers taking a terrible angle and whiffing on the tackle
  9. Damn, as a week to week starter it has been a while for CBs. Kris Boyd has stuck around but I don’t think he’s started much. Jamison played for the Panthers this year but mainly special teams I think. For guys they actually played CB in the NFL at a high level, you may have to go all the way back to the Ced Griffin/Aaron Ross class? Holy shit
  10. Maybe, but I wouldn’t take his gif teases too seriously. Guy makes his living hyping up engagement on these announcements, he’s used that Rogan one a few times now for relatively middle of the road commitments
  11. Interesting. Not sure what to make of it exactly, but I don’t remember a lot of job candidates making posts like this before.
  12. Nice. Jerrin Thompson to Florida would be worth a few Quinn tds when they visit Austin next year.
  13. We can take another swing at Williams once he hits the portal in two years.
  14. Damn, I don’t really follow NFL coaches salaries but my first impression was this had to be wrong. Nope. He just signed a 6 year deal worth $28M. It’s a huge range from the highest paid NFL coaches to the lowest.
  15. I mostly agree, but Washington is only getting about half of those Big10 payouts on the media deal for the next few years: https://sports.yahoo.com/inside-oregon-and-washingtons-jump-to-the-big-ten--it-was-both-of-us-or-none-of-us-141725222.html#:~:text=While all other Big Ten,with Fox%2C CBS and NBC.
  16. What is your favorite memory of Mike Stoops’ coaching tenure at UT?
  17. It’s been pretty quiet on the Harbaugh front, guess they are still in celebration mode. Would love to add a Michigan opening to the mix (and maybe FSU if Norvell goes to Bama). Gotta keep the chaos up so I don’t get tempted to do something crazy like get any work done.
  18. Whether he turned them down or his buyout made it impossible, Lanning played this pretty well
  19. I think it’s Lanning too, but I am curious about his buyout. Is there any real reporting about how much it actually is? I’ve seen it at least $20M, with some kind of escalator to it that makes it much higher. I’d love to know exactly how much higher and what that clause is exactly.
  20. Haha, I think CTJ was hinting at some funny Jimbo outcome that was in the works that he couldn’t say much about yet. And he does have Bama contacts…. but there is just no fucking way Jimbo has the juice to get job at this point. That would be hilarious though
