  1. Man..... Herbie's dye job and plastic surgery is so bad..... He looks like an ugly mannequin.
  2. Even the WRs are lousy blockers..... It's unbelievable how bad the blocking is at every level.
  3. Fuck yea, D!!!!! LFG!!!!
  4. This team literally can't run the ball beyond the QB...... With this recruiting budget, its very easy to understand who should be fired. This OL is built to his specifications..... Big Bodies. Should have asked for Big Athletes.
  5. It's hard on a kid starting his first year when your OL and your RB room suck...... And they do suck.
  6. He's been so good. We've criticized the personnel department, deservedly, with a lot of the defensive acquisitions via draft or UFA on this team, but it seems one guy they hit big on was Houston. Fully recovered from his injury, he's playing fantastic ball. My only question is why not unleash him more? Some other fun tidbits.... Doubt we get many truly satisfying wins this year like this one. This last stats is nuts....
  7. Validation!!!! You win some, you lose some, but I do think today is indicative in that Flournoy is the 3rd more talented WR on the roster and could end up being a 2/3 in time..... For now, if he can just help hold the fort down until CeeDee team, then take Tolbert's role once Lamb comes back. Another fantastic day by the offense and finally the defense contributed. Solid road win.
  8. Supposed to be a unit we could hang our hat on. The kicking portion largely fixed, the units are bad. Niblitt is fast with zero instincts on punt return. Punter having issues but kicking into EZ and the blocking sucks. It’s better to hope for a touchback most of the time in the return game. Part of the problem although the kickers seem fine for the most part.
  9. The OL is so bad, we can barely run anything competently. Add a slow processing QB and it creates mucho problems. Cant run, have to keep more guys in, we don’t have WRs with small space speed and instead have a bunch of long speed guys, it’s a recipe for big challenges and Sark has failed this far.
  10. Uhm...... still a chance that Dak has to play behind an OL made up of total backups. May get Steele..... the worst of the pack. This is getting ridiculous. Also, if there's one thing the Jets can do is cover a little. You take out Pickens, who are you throwing to? Ferg and the RBs? Now, there is some hope Tyler Smith, who has been disappointing coming off the big contract, may be able to manage his tendonitis and play. Maybe Guyton gets out of concussion protocol, but I'm going to guess, we go vs the Jets with 3 backups on the OL. Looks like Turpin and of course CeeDee will be out. This is a trap game, like the Bears game, and if you lose to the Jets, it'll reset how bad this team is. If Dak can't be a superhero every week, which nobody can do, then this could end up as a loss to an 0-4 team..... Sauce on WRs.....
  11. Agreed about the Niners in back to back years. Again, away games at the #1 and #3 defense, it was doubtful it was going to be high scoring playing in that slop, but we had some chances. 2018, didn't they get crushed by the Rams? Gave up 30 but it could have been more and like like 200 yards rushing? 2014 - 26 was a little under GB's average but they were on Dallas' 25 yard line when they started kneeling. Could have easily scored more. Also, conditions and styles made that a quick game. 17 drives between the 2 teams, last one resulting in kneeling. Take example last SB? 26 drives. So if you look further to points per drive or play, it certainly wasn't a good performance by the defense but they were such an over achieving unit, I feel bad even critiquing them. 2007 - Giants went on a heater.... all came together. 17 points by the offense was the 2nd highest total put up on them in the playoffs. Meh. Giants only averaged 23 ppg that season and 21 ppg in the playoffs. Definitely could have gone our way though with better coaching and a play here or there...... we all know the one. 2006 -- Yea, I get it. Romo was starting his 11th game in his career. Fumbled snap. Why is your starting QB handling holds? A whole clusterfuck. Dallas was 9-7 getting in that season. They weren't very good and it would have been a pretty big upset. They weren't contenders Cute his hair?
  12. Just a simple explanation that those who only rely on playoff records and judge a singular position, are LCD thinkers and more often than not, motivated reasoners. True Stephen A Smith type acolytes. Except kickers! Fuck those guys..... you have to make key kicks, that's the job. Kick well or die! Definitely very flawed defenses..... Last "great" D we had was in 23' and many of us here were extremely worried about the secondary and whether or not they were really very good. When's the last fucking time we had a good safety? Woodson? Guy should be in the HOF by now. Speaking of the secondary: and.... Couple of things and this goes to Eberflus really not scheming to our player's strengths, rather than being a zealot to his "system". It also reviews a point I made last week about injured guys coming back. Diggs, who was benched, had his best game of the season and I don't think it's a surprise it's a month in. While he'll never be a physical corner, I think he'll continue to get better, if he can avoid injury, as the season continues -- his knee gets stronger, dexterity improves and the twitch starts coming back naturally. I expect a couple rougher outings maybe but the back half of the season he could be solid corner again... hopefully. They also got him playing just a touch more man and he got to play a little more press. He made a great play late in sniffing out a WR screen and making a TFL. On the other end of the spectrum is Bland..... he's just making his way back from re-aggravating an injury AND he's playing out of position. He's never been a great outside CB - field or boundary and instead when he was breaking records, it was out of the slot. Now maybe they're managing his injury a little before putting him back in the slot, but it's weird they've been trying to make him an outside corner for 2 years. Also, for folks wondering why Murray and Sanborn, who are truly awful in complementary aspects of the game, continue to get a lot of reps, look at James and Liufau..... James in coverage was particular bad. I feel like instead of having two bad players on the field, we should have Murray and Sanborn play the same position (Sanborn on early obvious run downs and Murray vs obvious pass downs) and have one collaborative solid player, but I'm probably over simpflying things. Our safeties are still shit but nice to see Thomas play competently off the bench. How sad is it, that our DL is still functionally the strength of the defense. Defensive player acquisition has been fucking terrible the last 5 years. Just fucking awful.
  13. Spurs 25-26 - Popping for the Playoffs?
  14. Only for football morons. Football is a team game and while QBs are generally the most important positional group on the field, this isn't like a starting pitcher or hockey goalie situation where basically one great guy can carry teams. Dak has had some good games and some poor games in the playoffs, but for the most part, it paints the picture of a good QB, who has played pretty well for the most part. The Niners games maybe him being guilty of being below average and those were on the road against the #1 defense in the NFL one year and a top 3 in total defense in the NFL the other. Hardly chumps. In his losses, the defense averaged 31 points given up so basically he needed to score 32 points in his losses, that's higher than most #1 offenses in the regular season, so it also shows the level of defense being played particularly at home. You know who else averaged about 280 yards and 2 TDs and 1 INT in their playoff games (Dak at 92 QRtg) -- Tom Brady (279 yds, 1.8 TDs, .8 Ints with a 90 QRtg). Am I arguing that Dak Prescott is as good as Tom Brady? Of course not, not even a little, but it's always interesting contextually to understand how much winning championships or playoff or even regular season is a team success metric. Football is probably the most team oriented major sport in the playoffs and while Dak had a chance in SF, he generally has had his defense fail him in the playoffs. This year looks no better...... Jerrah has failed this fanbase and organization year after year after -- mostly with Romo and Dak playing QB, but make no mistake (not calling you out, general comment) winning ships isn't on one guy, that's elementary analysis.
  15. Probably why they have such similar stats and effectiveness throughout their careers. In short, Jerry has wasted about 2 decades of winning the QB lottery - UDFA and 4th round. Think about if we hadn't lucked into both? And we were marching never will's like Drew Hensen and Quincy Carter out there along with over the hill guys like Drew Bledsoe or Randall Cunningham's of once great players who were just trying to hang around the league. We'd probably be starting Joe Flacco right now.
  16. Midseason and like you're seeing with Diggs and Bland, he won't be 100%. That takes about half a season. So, in 2026, hopefully he's 100% back and not thinking or managing his injury. This isn't like broken hand stuff, these are major injuries which take awhile to get back fully. Players can be greenlighted way before they are all the way back from these major injuries. Bland and Diggs may look more like themselves in teh back half of the season or they may not get back all the way at all. We'll see... Agreed. Or even a bad D we're 2-2. We have a historically terrible defense and with the offense that is probably top 5 in the league who are currently have below average OT's, are missing a top 5 WR in the league and really don't have great depth at an position. 5th in points and 1st in total yardage and pass yardage. Dallas D is last in yardage allowed (by quite a bit) and 31st in points allowed by 1 point to the Ravens who are 1-3 and played a harder schedule than Dallas.
  17. Wow..... an amazing effort by the offense and Dak. I guess, good on the defense not giving up a TD on the last drive, but it was so poorly managed by LaFleur and company, it's hard to really give them too much credit. Just awful game and clock management.
  18. Someone needs to make a big play..... a strip sack, a batted ball, a forced fumble.... something.
  19. I think you have to go for it on 4th. Fuck it..... this team probably isn't going anywhere. A FG with this defense is self-defeating. They're going to need a GB mistake like a fumble for no reason to win now.
  20. So..... 1 then. 3 and 3. Let's come up with something smart.
  21. Flag every fucking return...... 11 penalties tonight. Still a poorly coached team.
  22. This is consistent with every game this season.... not a new happening. It's obviously coached this way or the CBs are some of the dumbest motherfuckers in football and don't understand down and distance.
  23. Elam is so fucking bad. This defense is so fucking bad. Maybe the worst in history.
  24. Worst secondary ever..... Make any QB look like fucking Joe Montana.
