  1. Run D demolished on first drive. Giving a bad offense easy points is bad coaching.....
  2. Our run D is going to be tested today and early returns are bad. LVE. JFC dude. Fill the fucking hole!!!!
  3. Blocking was horrible. He got hit in the backfield both times. Also, I hate the play call on 4th down.
  4. He didn't get it. Shit blocking on both of those runs.
  5. So your contention is Kareem wasn't the best player in 1980? Magic was? This is what you're hanging your hat on? And I do think they win the 1980 championship if Kareem was left. He was the dominant force in that series as Magic, as he was all season, was riding shotgun and playing his role as Robin. They had 2 games to win 1 with a home game in LA in game 7 awaiting, so.... yea, I do. Magic stepped up in a fantastic and historic way but Kareem was still that straw that stirred that team. Again, he was the overwhelming MVP that season and first team center. Magic received no votes for MVP. He wasn't on either all-NBA team. He wasn't even the best rookie in the league that year! This is a silly conversation, but go look at the numbers. Seems you're just trying to be contrarian. Go look at how the accolades. Go look at how their contemporaries felt about them at that particular time. No doubt Magic was destined for greatness, but he wasn't the best player on that team...... not yet.
  6. An amazing game but championships aren't won in one game but over a season. I don't know, maybe he was polishing his fucking MVP trophy from that season. C'mon. He was their best player in the other 3 wins in the series when he went for 33-14, 33-14 and 40-15. Magic's probably my favorite player ever and it's not hard to come to the conclusion that KAJ was the best player on that squad. Not really that close. 82 and 85 definitely close.
  7. Are you saying a season is defined by one game or one series? That's unbelievably short-sighted.
  8. Nah. Wilt inspired no less than 5 rule changes in the NBA by himself. Name another player who did so? Maybe Mikan? 100 point game. 50-25. Lead the league in assists...... as a center. He was without a doubt the most dominating player in the game at his peak. More dominating than Mikan. More dominating than Shaq. More dominating than Olajuwon, etc, etc. 7 time leader in points per game. 11 time leader in rebounder per game. 9 time leader in FG percentage. 8 times leader in minutes in a season..... as a center. 8 times leader in PER, 8 times leader in Win Shares..... you get the idea. All of these stats and this was before they started counting blocks and steals of which he was estimated to average about 8-10 blocks per game and about 5-6 steals. You could tell the story of the NBA without a lot of guys, but it would be almost impossible without the Big Dipper. He was the most dominating player of any era.
  9. Raise you..... With or Without You in The Americans Finale. The final train scene just wrecks. Don't have it on one cut.
  10. Ah. Meant 4 in the NBA. 71', 80', 82', and 85' (tied with Magic, their numbers were extremely close). 87' and 88' it was clearly Magic. And then an additional 3 National Championships in college. One thing I think folks forget which penalizes past players is their collegiate careers, which were often 3-4 years and where all great players were funneled into. Overall, between college and pro basketball, Kareem won 9 championships and competed in 13 title tournament games/series. Not bad for a guy in goggles.
  11. Did I miss something? I know you said it wasn't directed at me, but just wondering did someone say he wasn't easily the best player in 71'? On the Bucks and in the league..... like really, really easily. Which brings up another interesting question around how you parse this, not who was the best player was during said player's dominant stretches, but by how much???? Kareem and Wilt have some fucking years where the delta was so large, it's almost incomprehensible. Jordan probably had a couple of those. Right. lol. I mean, the questions is maybe, if their Finals opponent and his teams were flip flopped.
  12. Again, what are we doing on defense? Dare them to pass. Just go man and bring the safeties into the box. That's just bad coaching. Terrible coaching.
  13. That's it...... Sark is not going to enjoy this week. We have another QB controversy. Just awful shit.
  14. Agreed. Sark would have chosen the XP and worst you can do is OT. Although now the worst you can do is OT. Would have been ballsy though.
  15. Thank you!!!!! Fucking Klatt calls out Coach K. WTF are you doing with a 2 high deep safeties. It's fucking special needs.
  16. They played zone at the sticks. Only real read was to stick into the TE right as he was turning around but I think Casey is having a confidence issue right now. Probably should just let them score now.
  17. TE can't make the play...... on 3rd down. JFC. C'mon Casey. Just go through your progressions. Horrible play on 4th down.
  18. Faith? Probably not. Hope? Yes. I'm thinking 27-25 maybe? Let's make it happen and go get healthy.
  19. Yea, especially when it's 9 yards downfield. He's the Jaylon Smith of Texas.
  20. Not sure you've been watching but we're not getting anything running the ball this half beyond the first drive. OL is getting whipped.
  21. #76 was terrible there...... just awful. A turnstile.
  22. A option to the short side...... really? That's your big 2nd down play? Ugh.
  23. We're getting nothing on first downs. Behind the sticks a ton.
  24. Brockmeyer is so slow he just can't get back in his zone. Great play by Ford.
