  1. "Gloria" was written by Van Morrison, recorded by his band, Them, and released in the US in April 1966. However, Them's version peaked at number 75 on the national Billboard Hot 100 chart while the version of "Gloria" by the Shadows of Knight peaked at number 10. So, how does a recording by the Shadows of Knight, a garage band from Chicago, score a top 10 hit with the song overshadowing the version by Van Morrison? Many US radio stations refused to play "Gloria" by Them because of Morrison's line "She comes to my room, then she made me feel alright"....lyrics which were viewed as risque in the mid 60's. So, the Shadows of Knight replaced that line with "She called out my name, that made me feel alright" and, voila, you have a tamer version of the original suitable for airplay on any radio station. BTW, success with "Gloria" was it for the Shadows of Knight as none of their other releases came close to approaching this initial commercial success. After all, they were a garage band from Chicago just having fun. Check out their lead vocalist using a fire extinguisher for a microphone in the video
  2. Hey, Mr. Groundhog. What do you say?
  3. No, I still have 150,000 shares of AMYZF @ .85. Nice catch and apologies for the oversight. If was going to make a change in any of those stock positions I’d share it with the board. However, the reasons for taking positions in AMYZF, UUUU, IBRX, EOSE, GERN, & RVPH are still in play with what I believe is massive upside potential. I >might< be willing to take a double with GERN, but I’m looking for a shot into the deep center field seats with the other five stocks.
  4. Red Cloud has a short term price of $11.70 for UUUU (Red Cloud Financial Services is a Canadian company and their price target of $15.60 is in Canadian currency). In the past month, the stock has moved from $6 to close today at $7.54. Continue to hold 30,000 shares of UUUU @ 5.64, 32,900 shares of EOSE @ 2.44, 6,000 shares of GERN @ 3.19, 27,800 shares of IBRX @ 9.77, and 2,000 shares of RVPH @ 4.29.
  5. When Mick Ralphs left Mott the Hoople to join Bad Company, he took the guitar riff from “One of the Boys” and used it for the song “Can’t Get Enough” which was Bad Company’s debut single in 1974.
  6. More ZZ Top, you say? Going back to the beginning for this tune.
  7. The Black Crowes is southern, but their music is 80’s & 90’s. Having said that, “Hard to Handle” & “Jealous Again” are worthy of your consideration.

  11. I agree with you regarding Zeppelin’s and Sabbath’s musical classifications. Back in the early to mid 70’s, they would have been lumped together as “hard rock”. It took time for more precise designations to become established.
  12. In 1970, if you had told me and my buds we were listening to “metal” when playing Black Sabbath’s first album, we’d have wanted some of what you were smoking. That simply was not a musical genre at the time.
  13. In 1970, there was no “metal”.
  14. This is the first tune on the ‘A’ side of Black Sabbath’s first album released on Friday the 13th in February 1970. From the music and lyrics to the presentation on the album cover, we’d never heard or seen anything like it. This was much more intense and powerful and music was never the same.
  15. Crosby sings with the angels now….if he’s lucky.
  16. I saw CSN’s first concert post Crosby’s stay at the Huntsville State Prison. He shared a story of a prison band he formed that practiced almost every day in the yard. Crosby found out the warden hated the tune Almost Cut My Hair, so he’d make sure they played the shit out of it.
  17. Stills was an asshole as well
  18. Randy (Wolfe) California playing his >very< inexpensive Danelectro Sears Silvertone guitar. Skunk Baxter sitting in w/ Spirit on this tune.

  22. News Release - January 12, 2023 Korean Cathode Manufacturer Reports Battery Cell Test Using RecycLiCo Cathode Precursor Material RecycLiCo Cathode Precursor Outperforms Competing Recycled Material and Performs at the Level of Commercial Precursor Material January 12, 2023 - Surrey, B.C. Canada TSX-V: AMY | OTCQB: AMYZF | FSE: ID4 RecycLiCo Battery Materials Inc., ("RecycLiCo" or "the Company"), a battery materials company focused on the development of novel lithium-ion battery recycling and upcycling technologies, is excited to announce a significant milestone in its mission to revolutionize the lithium-ion battery recycling industry. The Company’s recycled-upcycled precursor cathode active material (“Precursor”) has been successfully used by a Korean cathode manufacturer to create battery cells that demonstrate the same level of performance as commercial precursor material. Battery cell performance was validated using industry-standard metrics and benchmarked against multiple other recycled precursor and commercial precursor products. The Korean cathode manufacturer reported that the battery cell using RecycLiCo’s recycled-upcycled NMC811 (nickel manganese cobalt oxide) precursor outperformed other recycled cathode precursor materials and performed at the level of commercial NMC811 precursor material. RecycLiCo’s commercial battery-quality precursor was produced directly from battery production scrap and black mass samples using the Company’s novel closed-loop RecycLiCo process. “These results not only validate our technological lead but also showcase the potential of our strategic business model that enables potential cathode and battery manufacturer partners to reintegrate recycled battery-ready materials while gaining economic and environmental benefits,” commented Zarko Meseldzija, CEO and Director of RecycLiCo Battery Materials Inc. “We are excited to explore potential partnership opportunities and further advance technical due diligence with the Korean manufacturer as we push the boundaries of sustainability and innovation in the battery materials industry.” About RecycLiCo Battery Materials RecycLiCo Battery Materials Inc. is a battery materials company focused on recycling and upcycling lithium-ion battery waste. With minimal processing steps and up to 100% extraction of lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese, the patented, closed-loop hydrometallurgical process creates valuable lithium-ion battery materials for direct integration into the re-manufacturing of new lithium-ion batteries.
