  1. 1. Yes, Oslo’s ghetto is not like a ghetto in the US. Our 18 yr. old waitress at The Hungry Pig has lived there for several years and she’ll go out at night by herself with no worries about being mugged/murdered/robbed/raped. 2. Copenhagen has a substantial number of EV’s….more than any American city I’ve been in….but nothing like Oslo. 3. There were beautiful women in Oslo without blue eyes and blonde hair, but the preponderance I saw had those features. Our waitress (who had blonde hair and blue eyes) mentioned the owner of The Hungry Pig helped wait tables one day with six blue-eyed, blonde-haired waitresses and all the customers were asking him if those were his daughters. I was at the site of Hitler’s bunker for less than 10 minutes and, in that time, saw between 75-100 people there. Mos def, the interest is still there.
  2. Lunch in downtown Berlin at Erdinger am Gendarmenmarket. I had the best non-alcoholic beer I've ever tasted. Erdinger Alkohol Frei. Been on the wagon since August 25th and staying the course. The site where once was Hitler’s bunker. Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Gray slabs with no names on a slope that pulls you in. I had thought I wanted to see a concentration camp, but this was about all I could take.
  3. Had an outstanding meal at Park 29 near Downtown Oslo. The halibut and all the veggies had lots of flavor. Not a mediocre bite on the plate. Park 29 is a popular place and you’ll probably need reservations unless you go at an off time (which we did). Oslo is full of lots of people using e-scooters while Copenhagen is full of lots of people riding bicycles. In both places, too many go like bats out of hell.
  4. UUUU back above $6 for the first time in 2025. +.42 to 6.17. Energy Fuels exceeded production estimates mining 638,700 pounds of uranium from its Pinyon Plain mine in Arizona during the 2nd quarter of 2025, cementing its place as one of the top new uranium mines in the world. EOSE got its second loan advance from the DOE for $22.7 million. EOSE +.17 to 5.04.
  5. Mrs. Stafford is with me on this trip and I do not want to see her evil twin.
  6. More Oslo tidbits……..East Oslo is referred to as ‘The Ghetto” as immigrants and poorer Norwegians live there. West Oslo is where the upper crust resides. Oslo has the most EVS I’ve seen in one place. Many more EVS and hybrids than gas powered vehicles including EV public buses. You can be in the center of downtown Oslo (called the Sentrum) and there’s so little noise because of the EV’s. The majority are Teslas, including full sized Teslas, not just the smaller versions that are so prevalent in the US. Have seen EV’s by Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Polestar, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Toyota, Citroen, VW, Jaguar, and this one brand called Build Your Dreams. I had to look that one up. It’s a Chinese company that sells less expensive EV’s than Tesla. Have only seen two of those as I think most consumers aren’t going to buy a Chinese product as China is not exactly known for quality control. The only American car I’ve seen is the Ford Mustang EV and there are a lot of of them. In fact, the Mustang was the best selling car in Norway during May. Who knew? Full sized Tesla sedan Build Your Dreams……with a Chinese car company. The Ford Mustang EV…..kicking butt in Norway. I’m aware this isn’t a car thread, but I found the EV presence in Oslo fascinating and thought I’d share. Finally, the young women in Oslo are stunning. Drop dead gorgeous everywhere you look. It’s like they cloned a blue eyed blonde haired Nordic woman between 5’6” and 6 ft tall and replicated that all over the city. If I was a MUCH younger man and had just graduated from UT, I would make an effort to find a job in Oslo utilizing my major and see where life would take me. I’ve never seen so many beautiful women in one place in my life. They. Are. Everywhere.
  7. In Oslo for a few days before cruising the Baltic Sea. Had dinner at The Hungry Pig…Den Glade Gris…which has pork dishes on 80% of the menu. The restaurant is family owned, and everything on the menu is Norwegian except some wines. All the beer, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic, is Norwegian. In fact they had a ton of nonalcoholic offerings as Norwegian women drink a lot of beer including when they are pregnant. The hat on the pig is in deference to Pride Week in Oslo. City buses, government buildings, and every place imaginable is flying LGBTQ+ pride flags and colors including the Nobel Peace Center.
  8. First saw Bad Company and Mick at Memorial Stadium in 1974. The music was amazing. The facilities not so much. We need to take a break from musicians leaving this mortal coil.
  9. American first……….Israel firstest.
  10. Is that you, Cathie Woods?
  11. The LA Lakers are being sold for $10 billion. Patrick Soon-Shiong, majority stockholder in IBRX, owns 4.5% of the team, a stake he bought from Magic Johnson for $27 million. His part of today’s sale would be $450 million….just in case IBRX needs any more cash, although with the Saudis on board, that shouldn’t be an issue. And the Saudis said they want BIOSHIELD available for patients in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and Africa in 90 days and that announcement was 19 days ago. It’s not coincidental the FDA gave IBRX the EAP approval for BIOSHIELD 5 days after the Saudi announcement. In 2008, PSS sold a biopharma called APP Pharmaceutical in which he had 80% ownership to Fresenius Kabi for $4.6 billion. Whether it’s an investment in the LA Lakers or a biopharmaceutical company, Patrick Soon-Shiong knows a good deal. The last time I looked, PSS and affiliates ownership interest in IBRX was 72%.
  12. His hit songs "Lightning Strikes" and "Rhapsody in the Rain" were popular during the mid 60’s when I was but a lad. The third in a row passing at 82-Brian Wilson, Sly Stone, and now, Lou Christie. You know what is said about threes….but, in this case, also the same age. The happiest man in the world is Paul McCartney who turned 83 today.
  13. The spot price of uranium jumped $6.45 today to $76.20/lb. UUUU spiked to 6.24 ending the day +.18 to 5.80. EOSE +.60 today to 4.63 with this pre-market news. Eos Energy Enterprises (NASDAQ: EOSE) has successfully closed $336M in concurrent offerings, including $250M in convertible senior notes due 2030 and common stock. The oversubscribed offerings strengthen the company's balance sheet and provide enhanced financial flexibility. The proceeds were used to repurchase $125.9M in convertible notes due 2026, prepay $50M of a Delayed Draw Term Loan, and add $139M in cash to the balance sheet. The debt restructuring resulted in approximately $400M in savings and reduced interest rates. Operationally, Eos ordered a second manufacturing line expected to be operational in H1 2026, and its Z3 energy storage system has demonstrated improved efficiency with round trip efficiency above 80%. The company's partnership with PA Consulting Group revealed 30-50% higher revenues over project life for 4+ hour systems compared to incumbent technologies.
  14. I could SO raise UT’s announcers game.
  15. What?? He shot high profile Minnesota politicians. I >feel like< you’re wrong.
  16. Tommy Nobis was the first pick in the 1966 NFL draft going to the first year expansion team Atlanta Falcons. He toiled (and toiled is the right word) for 11 years leading the defense on immemorable Atlanta teams. He’s got to be on that list.
  17. God only knows what we’ll be without Brian Wilson.
  18. Stand for the things you know are right It's the truth that the truth makes them so uptight Stand, all the things you want are real You have you to complete and there is no deal
  19. Today may not be >thee< day, but it ain’t bad. UUUU +.41 to 5.87, EOSE +.46 to 4.30, and IBRX +.23 to 3.38. Holding 15,000 shrs of UUUU @6.48, 15,100 shrs of EOSE @5.79, and 32,800 shrs of IBRX @8.85.
