  1. I bet there will be enough ice overnight to delay AISD. May get below 20 tonight. One of the holes at the Circle C disc golf course... Which reminds me, one of EvilMopac's pictures once again confirmed my suspicions he lives in Circle C
  2. Need to go put my three peak mountain snowflake tires to work since they saw zero action in Taos
  3. Funny to watch all the thirsty old dudes constantly commenting on her FB posts
  4. He does a great job of explaining everything, providing context and not hyping things up. Chikage is good, too.
  5. Friend of mine sent me a picture at 10 AM local of the info board/monitor at Winter Park. -17 degrees.
  6. Step two, you put your cock in that box
  7. Just put on KUTX and tune out reality
  8. Nah, its just snow. Honestly, snow is no big deal... especially since we warm up during the day. Ice? Yeah... ice and freezing rain is the real threat and that should not be the case this year. 2023 suuuuucked.
  9. Weather apps suck. They are terrible. Use your local forecast or NWS. Apps are often using data from private companies and some of those suck. Follow someone local. In your case, Avery Tomasco is actually very good despite being aggy. As of 2 hours ago...
  10. I see a lot of people oneline bitching about the new experience and, as best as I can tell, they were the ones that would go down and just hang out and not go in and patronize bars or clubs. \Womp womp Good.
  11. Yes, Ortisei. Santa Cristina and Selva further up the valley and less expensive but all within easy reach of each other
  12. I'm sure I can speak for Chris when I say, "you're welcome"
  13. Looks like they're trying to go up against the beginning of SXSW. Went to Waterloo for an in-store performance by Billy King and the Bad Bad Bad. Strongly recommend. These guys rocked out.
  14. But not full mayhem in the middle. It is a controlled closure in that the police maintained the middle. Who said the 00s?
  15. BTW, here's how APD "closed off" Halloween in 1988. It was not a full closure...
  16. Ultimately some variation of 1980s/early 1990s 6th has to be better than trying to manage this cluster all the time... in defense of the police, that's not easy to keep policed properly. By the way, this is hilarious... ("Austin is too libr'l now... we used to not be like this" - no CR!?"
  17. Y'all just grabbing rando model runs?
  18. Honestly, this reminds me of a conversation with an instructor in France back in 2018. We spent three days together with him mostly guiding me around Les Grands Montets and doing some teaching here and there. Anyway, on our first day, we went off piste to a back bowl and as he watched me ski, he said, you need to get off of those skis. The next morning before we took the first lift up, he took me to our ski shop, got me off of what they had given me and onto Black Crows Orbs (which I later purchased on my own and ski today - you can see them in my video above). What does this mean? Go with the half-day or full-day lesson I recommended and as you work with the instructor during the day and they see you ski and your goals, then ask what type of gear you should be using. Like @PRONG HORN after a run or two of "adjustment" my skiing completely evolved and we were skiing up on the glacier the next day. Gave me a lot of confidence and was the starting point of me becoming more aggressive as a skier even in my decrepit age.
  19. Muleshoe eh? I can smell that picture from here. Actually here's the ironic thing... this is a winter barn in the alps. Right in the middle of town. It smells like Muleshoe.
  20. If you do go to Val Gardena, this is a great place to eat outdoors on a beautiful day... https://www.baitaciampac.com/ another great location in Alta Badia which is just over a mountain pass from Selva https://www.jimmihuette.it/en/
