  1. I was scheduled for a protest day that I'm unavailable. Now I have to figure out if they will let me change the day or if I should just say screw it because I'm fairly positive with the way everything skyrocketed around me it's going to be a 10% increase. I feel lucky it's only a 10% increase.
  2. I'm attempting to fight my assessment. I don't think I'm doing very good. I was confused by the value I was supposed to put in the box in the online form and put in the market value instead of the assessed value because there is zero indication for the online protest of what you should put there. Well that amount was over the assessed value so it was immediately rejected and now I'm hoping to fight it via some type of schedule thing. It's a mess right now and I am terrible at this. I was really hesitant to use a company to do this for me but it's looking more like I should have.
  3. The golden age of LucasArts were the treasure trove of adventure games they produced. Can't wait to experience a new Monkey Island. Now only if they could bring back some more Sam and Max and Full Throttle.
  4. Love Civ. Yes Potato is a great streamer for Civ info and strategies. I also like SaxyGamer.
  5. I've been kind of forcing my way through Valhalla. It's not bad but it's not really gripping me that much. It has a few great moments but it doesn't feel like it sustains the momentum. One of the issues may be that you have several other games that do a very similar setting (think medieval fantasy) so the location and atmosphere isn't "new." Of the three being discussed here, I preferred Odyssey over Origins and I'm undecided between Origins and Valhalla, need to finish Valhalla first. Origins looked amazing and had a great setting but the story didn't really pull me in and there was a lot of "why would you do/think that" moments from the protagonist. Odyssey I played as Kassandra and I think that was the correct choice. It for sure gets repetitive but I think the setting and some of the islands really had some great stuff there.
  6. I'm guessing this was the 3rd player the organization wanted to put together a forechecking line?
  7. I suppose some of these acquisitions are projected upside and/or what the coach thinks they need to be successful. I don't know where this move falls at all. I'm curious if we make any movement in the last 40 minutes.
  8. https://www.tsn.ca/dallas-stars-acquire-vladislav-namestnikov-detroit-red-wings-fourth-round-pick-1.1774448 I don't really get this trade unless we think this guy is the missing piece between our other developing bottom six.
  9. No one mentioned Moonie's in Austin? Been enjoying the burgers from there quite a bit. They're excruciatingly slow though.
  10. Working my way through Valhalla. Feels more like a viking game than an assassin's Creed game but maybe I'm not far enough in yet. I've cleared four regions in England I think. So far I prefer ac Odyssey but we'll see how this shakes out.
  11. I wouldn't put it past Brian Davis for setting this up himself and then claiming that Beard did it as a clap back.
  12. I know we got Squadrons recently, but I really wish they would bring back TIE Fighter. Such a great game and the story was entertaining. Better than the overly dramatic one from Squadrons.
  13. Not chocolate chip though. Looks like desert three color but not quite. Almost like the colors of multicam arid but in the three color pattern.
  14. What about not auto-renewing? Anyway to have it not do that for the annual sub? If not, I assume there's an automated notification that goes out a bit prior to the renewal date?
  15. They look like The Patriots with different helmets.
  16. Question, is there a way to sign up for an annual subscription and not have it auto-renew? What happens if I want to bump up my contribution to a higher level this time next year?
  17. You mean this: https://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2013/8/15/4624518/notre-dame-gauntlet-drill-backwards Can't find the video though, only the giphy
  18. True, but I think he was in charge of linebackers. His recruiting and development of linebackers while he was here was not good. My memory is fuzzy but he may have lost out on several LB he was recruiting and went with his 2nd and 3rd choice but that was a really bad spot on this team under him.
  19. Counterpoint, I was very drunk. My bad.
