I question the rule entirely. It's supposed to be for player safety. When's the last time someone left a game due to being injured on a facemask penalty? What's every fans first reaction when someone on their team gets facemasked? It's not 'oh shit, I hope he's ok.' It's 'yes, 15 free yards!'

I'll make my annual post that the Sun Bowl is the 2nd longest running annual sporting event airing continuously on cbs behind only the Masters. It's also tied with the Sugar and Orange for the 2nd oldest bowl game behind the granddaddy. Go Duke I guess. They would have put up more of a fight than JMU.
