  1. I had an argument with an acquaintance who is firmly of the belief that this is no different than what OBAMA! did.  Never mind that what OBAMA! did was exactly what W, Clinton, GHW Bush and Reagan did.  OBAMA! set the standard.  Never mind the shift in policy.  OBAMA! is exactly as guilty.  There is no difference in separating every family versus only separating a few.  OBAMA!

Fucking idiots.  I would seriously like to see a comprehensive survey of IQ distribution across Trump supporters and everyone else.  I'm betting the mean would be at least 5 points lower for the Trumpkins, and maybe more.

A long time ago, I too was so twangy. Along with a bunch of other idiots. Lots of hot chicks hanging around back then. Too many of them were still in high school though.

I went to a reunion concert a few years back. Had a lot of fun but those hot high school chicks are now fat middle aged moms.

Remember Julianna Sheffield from 8 1/2 Souvenirs?  She was always in Dah-veed's orbit.  Trust me when I say this, she is now a mom, and probably close to what one might call "middle age", but fat isn't even close to the mark.  Definite candidate for the "Women Over 40" thread.

  3. Sounds like a good thread.  I should point out that several surlies have considerable studio experience as engineers and/or players, including (but not limited to) Paul Wesley, Swayze, tbone, and myself.  Personally, I'd like to learn a whole lot more about editing, specifically with Reaper (because that's what I use).  I can definitely assist with room acoustics, some gear (mostly microphones, preamps, and how to use them).  I know almost jack about keyboards but I am about to need help getting my aging but badass Yamaha into Reaper via MIDI.

I disagree. And that's cool. Barack Obama got elected in the United States of America. Politics is cyclical. The momentum will shift back to the Democrats.

Barack Obama didn't have Russia's help, and Trump's efforts to manipulate voter rolls and even election results are only going to get more successful.  In my mind the only winning strategy is to simply overwhelm with numbers, and that might not work.

He thought he was talking about the Trump foundation?  You know, the one for which there is clear evidence that it funded campaign activities on behalf of the associated candidate?  I mean, that sure seems like an actual, verified illegality regarding the use of a "foundation," so that would be a good time to use the quotes.

Whereas the "Clinton" "Foundation" performance has been verified by review of IRS filings for many years now, and always ends up with very high ratings.

Her graveyard of dirt on anyone and everyone entrapped in her "Foundation" pay-to-play scheme.  Of course, had I defied a federal subpoena....I'm sure I'd face no repercussions either.  Some animals are in fact more equal than other.

Why did you put Foundation in quotes?

  7. Goo Goo Dolls were a passable, slightly slicker imitation of The Replacements very early on.  The lyrics to their first hit "We Are The Normal" were actually written for them by Paul Westerberg, because while Johnny Reznik is somewhat capable of ripping off the mats' sound, he is completely incapable of writing lyrics.

"The hottest places in Hell are reserved for those who, in a time of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality."

Trivia time:  Dante didn't actually say that.  He implied that the lowest spot in hell was reserved for those who remained neutral:

“This miserable way is taken by the sorry souls of those who lived without disgrace and without praise.

They now commingle with the coward angels, the company of those who were not rebels nor faithful to their God, but stood apart."

The differences between James Carville's butthole, Karl Rove's butthole and Paul Manafort's butthole is that only one of those buttholes had to be checked in a booking process in a federal detention facility.  That one butthole belonged to Paul Manafort, former Campaign Chairman to President Donald Trump.

"“Like, Manafort has nothing to do with our campaign,” Trump continued."

No it didn't. The IG report is the DOJ investigating the DOJ.  It's basically an internal affairs investigation and report.

Ah, it's always good to see the new talking points as they come out.  Newsletter must have been distributed this morning.

Because the other side doesn't have the intellectual capacity to troll a bait line.

You're accusing others of lacking intellect.  If that ain't some good old-fashioned irony, I don't know what is.

By when do you think the country will descend into civil war?

    Next Thursday.

I realize you're "just asking questions".  You're transparent, and wholly disingenuous.
