Yep. Hyperbole to get amusement. No question.
The topic is serious. I eventually gave a serious opinion.
For those who want my opinion it's in the thread to find. But very few do. Poo flinging is what this site is about.
I'd love for it to be different but until then I'll just deal in amusement to kick it off.
You have very few friends, I suppose?

I was out running a couple of errands and had to get out when TCU was threatening -- how'd we get out of that jam?
-
If Rice can be a D1 baseball power, A&M most certainly can be.

I get it. You may be right that she didn't really cut it for that level of team. I'm just trying to say that in many cases club/select soccer teams are better run than their school counterparts.
Now that various Euro clubs (Barcelona, etc.) are bringing soccer schools to Texas I imagine the opportunities for good players will increase even more, without wasting time in school sports.

He reported the Stormy payment (through Cohen) yesterday. I assume you are correct he failed to do so under oath, probably multiple times.
-
If Avenatti has found 2 other
whoresladies who claim payoffs by Trump, and Trump didn't disclose them in yesterday's financial documents . . . and Mueller has evidence from the FBI's raid of Cohen's office . . . uh oh. -

Lost in all this is Hugo claiming he's done with Dotus-Russia.
Lulz. I read that as "Donuts-Russia" and didn't even blink.

I almost put this in the "Black Marching Band" thread, but (a) Carolina Crown isn't a marching band and (b) they aren't particularly black.
If you play brass and want to hear what a spectacularly talented, powerful, and in-tune brass line can sound like, listen all the way through. Don't cut it short. Boggles the mind. Not one of these kids is 23 years old.

Well point out a specific lie and I will be happy to address it.
My guess is that the meeting was such a nothing that it was largely forgotten about until more details came out. Then it just looked embarrassing. When I google about the lies, the main thing I find is that people say Jr was lying when he said the meeting was about adoptions. Well, based on the testimony now available of everyone at the actual meeting, it was about adoptions. That is clearly not what Jr thought it was going to be about. It certainly had exactly zero to do with any kind of conspiracy between the russian govt and trump et al to help in the election.
Your level of certainty seems to be somewhat malleable.

From Trump Jr perspective, the purpose was to potentially get dirt on Hillary. From the other participants, the purpose was to try and lobby the Trump team to help with the Magnitsky Act and russia's retaliatory move of banning adoptions by US folks.
Bless your little heart. ❤️

Let's not ignore the fact that most middle school coaches are idiots. My son made and started for his middle school "A" team both years he was eligible. He probably deserved it -- he's fast as shit, has a high motor and never quits. But, his soccer skills are somewhat remedial. Not terrible, but he definitely gets by on athleticism and effort. Most coaches love that.
His best buddy is as good an athlete and a better soccer player. "Coach" decides this kid should try out for goalie. Kid figures "OK, what the hell", doesn't make top 2 and gets cut down to "B" team. Had the coach bothered to just watch him play striker in a scrimmage he would have seen he was just about the best kid on the field.
tldr: generic middle school coaches are stupid. Don't count on them to correctly assess your kid.

It's stunning how brazen Mexican immigrants were about deleting banking activity from the Treasury Department's database. Animals!
No doubt they're using a hacked prerelease of Microsoft 13 Windows.

My dad played against the Tyler Rose...when I asked him about what it was like when I was a kid I'll never forget how he just laughed and didnt really say anything else
Heh . . . a guy who went to my church starred at LB for Mizzou in the mid-late 1970's. He came back to our HS for some kind of motivational speech and took questions afterwards. Some kid asked him "what was it like to tackle Billy Sims?"
His answer: "I have no idea."

Donald Trump is like the kid at the mall who gets the top 10 scores on Galaga. Fucker.

The fact that the FBI was investigating the Trump campaign is not a good look for the Trump campaign.
Sure it is, because witch hunt. And MOLES!

Regardless of who authorized the cleansing of those two SARS filings, I find the parallels to the 18 minutes of silence on Nixon's tapes intriguing. Maybe I just have the vapors.

Hasn’t the cost of tech dropped? A lot of shit that was expensive in 85 can be bought cheap now.
Not textbooks. Holy smokes, every one of them seems to be $200 or higher now (and I don't think the digital copies are any cheaper).

I'd also like to see what percentage of campus infrastructure & hiring in the 1980's was funded by oil and what was funded by general revenue, compared to now. (They could be identical for all I know. Is it all PUF funds?)
-
1 minute ago, Johnny Sack said:
That’s percentages of funding. I’m talking dollars. If costs quadruple and state funding only doubles, the percentage from state funding is cut in half.
Does anyone have the year by year allocation to Texas from the state?
Come on.
47% of $503M = $236M
12% of $2,975M = $357M

Nunes is investigating "Crossfire Hurricane". Is English not your first language?
It is. Apparently it is not yours, though.

That investigation is only now starting thanks to the work of Nunes..
Excuse me, what? The investigation "Crossfire Hurricane" was named in the summer of 2016.

I think it's much more likely that operation Crossfire Hurricane goes down in history as a coup attempt on the President of the United States.

When you have 94 of them, that shit kind of adds up. 5 or 6 million every year starts adding up to real money. But fuck it, we can just raise tuition.
$100 per student per year is too much to actually serve our state? Really?
Come the fuck on.
