  1. Yet we're the one with room temp IQs, apparently
  2. Schools have 48 hours to enter them
  3. Seems like you've been on quite the roll here the last couple hours. Maybe take a break and come back in a bit rather than replying to every other post. You went from making a decent post to getting derailed talking banal shit about Sark, and I'll tell you like the other UW poster a couple days ago that nothing you've said even registers compared to the stuff that's been said on here about him. Of course we like him now but it's been a bumpy road. We did have some decent football discussion in the first couple pages. We've got a month before the game and there will be plenty more to come. I still need to go back and rewatch last year's game and I'll post opinions once I do. Anyways, football post: third down will be a major battle. UW was #11 in conversions at 48.3%. Our once-elite third down defense fell after the OSU game. Georgia passed us up, so we're at #2, allowing 26.5%. I get that we don't want to give up the deep ball, but we have to balance that with stopping the run and not giving up short passes on early downs. I don't know how to do that tbh.
  4. Title IX is federal law and applies to any university that receives federal funding. Nothing to do with the NCAA, which is why it actually has teeth lol
  5. Is burning Arnold's redshirt that big of a deal? His extra redshirt year will be 2027. If he's good, he should be drafted before then. If he's not, a school like OU should be able to recruit or develop someone else by then. Older QBs are running CFB this year, but none of them are doing it at their original school and Arnold had cleaner draft projections as a recruit than they did (I think).
  6. Lol man we're all high on Sark but so far the UW shit talk on him is like 2/10 compared to the things that have been said about him on here even as recently as 2 months ago
  7. At some point in like 2019 or 2020 I ran the numbers and more than half of 5* QBs transfer during their careers. 5* QBs: <50% of the time, they work every time.
  8. You'll get shit here for it but he's a good QB2 take, if he knows that's what he is. Surely the last three years would be a bit humbling for both he and his father. uhhhh let's not get too far out in front of ourselves here
  9. Ok thanks. I want that guy lol
  10. He's still one of then ten so I don't think so Big brain move not taking any LBs so recruiting isn't affected when the coach leaves
  11. Which of the committed DTs we're after was it that has like 21 sacks his senior year? Was it Lindsey?
  12. Having not watched much UW yet, I know we'll need to work on a plan for those deep crossers where the WR just runs 45 degrees off the line and Penix waits to hit them as they cross the opposite hash 20 yards downfield. Murphy and Sweat generating interior pressure should go a long way there, and they can do that from a 3 or 4 man front if we decide to install a dime package. Anybody have their center's PFF grades by chance?
  13. Bans automatically kick in with enough negative rep, so it is your goal based on your last post. Or maybe you can pivot and try to make a semi-intelligent contribution to the discussion around the game.
  14. Oh man, you're nowhere close. Some people rack up several hundred negs before the ban kicks in
  15. X maximized his money but he also fully buys in with the team. He's been getting banged up and still playing most games this year. Stewart would've shut it down the first time he rolled his ankle. In hindsight losing that Duncanville pipeline when Ja'Quinden Jackson transferred and we didn't hire Samples has turned out ok
  16. Personally, some of the skepticism towards Michigan comes from a general belief that on their best days, an elite offense will beat an elite defense. See the end of Michigan's season in 2018, 2019, and 2022. That can of course be overcome if the offense picks it up. And I get that you're saying that Michigan's offense is playing a certain style because they don't have to score a bunch, but for everyone else, we're wondering if they can score a bunch if/when the day comes that they need to (not including the big 10 soup). Michigan is remarkably consistent and I consider them the favorite to win it all, but I also like our matchup against them. Not to mention the questions that arise from all the sign-stealing stuff.
  17. I think he's like their JWhitt. Injury history, great blocker and effort guy, passed up as a receiver by younger guys.
  18. attention economy 🤢
  19. Huh, I didn't know that "maybe we beat them by __ points" was a reference. Just looked it up. TIL. Quinn Ewers against Bama 2x, OU 2x, UW in the bowl, and OSU in the CCG (6 games total): 151/211 (71.6%), 1939 yards (9.2 ypa), 13 TDs, 4 INTs, 165.3 rating
  20. I don't think any players can be legally "locked up." That's not how NIL works. Any contract would/should have a clause that terminates it when the player exits the program, whatever the reason be. It's not like an NFL contract that prevents them from moving.
  21. Maaan I'm just so glad we get to watch this team play more meaningful football
  22. About this time three years ago, shit looked bleak. Ewers flipped to OSU, Herman was a lame duck, we had whiffed on Meyer, etc. I switched my pfp to the crying jordan bevo and told myself it would stay until we won a conference championship. Well, boys, today's the day!
  23. Also, lots of 21 personnel on the first drive
  24. tbh he had such good positioning that it's disappointing Brooks played it so poorly once the ball was in the air but fuck it, 10% of the way to 70-0
  25. Top seed gets to choose. Sark said on Longhorn Weekly the captains voted for white because they think of iconic Texas moments and so many of them came in white. They want to join them.
