  5. guys, guys, guess what! my mate - who has never seen a single episode - has finally agreed to watch! excited! my last/only rewatch was about four years ago so i'm good with it and it will be fun watching it with someone for whom it is brand new... only thing better is watching it for the first time myself lol
  6. christianity in this country is a sick fucking joke 🙄
  7. i wonder who's going to have a more difficult time... TikTok fans who detest Trump or Trump fans who supported the ban bc he said so. oh who am i kidding...the latter group will experience no conflict whatsoever bc they literally live immersed in cognitive dissonance. if their god says it's so then it is so. the first group though... that's a lot of young and creative folks. including my niece who would fucking stab Trump if given the chance lol. he lost the <40 demo by a lot (especially <25)... despite somebody apparently telling him he won young people 'by 34 points' 😆 perhaps misplaced, but i do put a bit more faith in the younger folks (at least those i know) being able to grasp nuance in this situation and understand this is pure manipulation. i mean... he's literally been saying exactly that for the past several days! but the maga folks have demonstrated again and again they are too stupid to ever get it, they embrace being manipulated. shit is seriously bonkers and it's just getting started 😜
  8. 'walking around lost' in our nation's capital. fucking morons.
  9. i mean... they're in Washington DC! they could spend their time visiting amazing museums and sites, experiencing incredible art, learning about hist...
  10. well. the description of the first book is "A broad examination of early Mormon efforts to establish in Utah an independent, theocratic Kingdom of God. Those bold efforts resulted in struggles with national republican ideology, Mormon opponents within and outside of Utah, and the federal government" and it made my brain short-circuit. lol

  12. that's a shame. maybe someday those hardworking Texans will stop electing the leaders that are fucking them and their children over.
  13. finished tonight. thought it was quite good. brutality and misery reminiscent of The Revenant. sigh. i don't know why Kitsch hasn't had more success. very good in this. his Koresh was fantastic. im kind of fascinated by mormons. i've read Under the Banner, The Mormon Murders, several documentaries. kind of the quintessential American story - persecution, violence, religious fanaticism, hypocrisy, etc. etc. the most American story, really.
  14. also he's probably afraid of getting shot.
