  1. I’m wanting to reload for my 375 WBY and my 300 WM. I’m a novice here, but I’ve done some reading. I’m thinking I’ll go single stage press, electronic powder measure. Any other advice on equipment or stuff that has worked for you?
  2. Do you reload? I'm thinking about getting into reloading.
  3. Easy as she does it Capitan
  4. If they have a Mateba Unica in the auction buy it for me and I'll pay you back
  5. Make friends with somebody that has a wake boat and you guys will have a nice flotilla going. Also, welcome to the party, pal! : )
  6. My tax stamp came today in for my first can. Hopefully picking up tomorrow. Sig SRD 762 for my 300 WM and AR. I ordered a can for my 1911 at the same time, but haven’t got the call on that yet, really looking forward to getting that. Do I just go in and sign some stuff and it’s mine or are they going to extort me further?
  7. They definitely have the "banging cocktail waitresses two at a time" thing down.
  8. Beautiful stuff. That Model 70 is something very special, I am salivating. An heirloom piece or did you find it yourself? Did you order the Montana rifle or find it built? What’s your experience been with them/it? I’ve heard things all over the map regarding MRC.
  9. I’m guessing 270,308,300WM in order?
  10. My dad built this “grubber” attachment from an old grader blade that is great for pulling out mesquites and cedars under about 3-4” diameter. Faster and more accurate than the grapple, then switch to the grapple to collect and stack the downed brush.
  11. My prop could probably use some work, but most of the wake/surf guys I hear from just buy new props when they bend one up; and aren’t looking for the top end you’re looking for, so I don’t have any info; sorry.
  12. Glass cab equipment is freaking sweet. We ran open cab machines for 20 years, finally moved to glass cabs two years ago and the productivity has gone up significantly. I can run a glass cab machine all day, skipping lunch, and not feel like I got my ass kicked, as I used to with and open cab machine. Less noise, smoke, dust, wind, heat, cold, etc. and these machines have pneumatic shock absorbers under the seats so our backs don’t take as much of a beating.
  13. Thanks, it has been a great place for us. We’ve cleared new growth cedar out of about 70ac of pastures (I’m going to ballpark it at 2000 cedars); once we got those down a spring started flowing again. In the photo above, I was pulling oak and cedar stumps where the folks before us had some dead oaks and cedars ground down. Having good equipment makes all the difference. I probably pulled ~200 stumps in 3 hours. Once we get the stumps out we can disc, shred/spray the noxious plants, seed/encourage the productive plants, and it looks so much better and is more productive. Here’s a “finished product” food plot: I feed protein, but timed release, only open 5 minutes morning and evening now. This is a 200 ac low fence place. I never saw deer like this as a kid, my kids don’t know how good they have it:
  14. Wow ~25” inside spread?
  15. My hunting knives. My wife somehow stumbled into buying me this clip point 8-9 years ago and the S30V heat treated steel is awesome. I went thru 3-4 deer before it needed sharpening. I bought the fillet for more detailed caping and deboning, works great. The coating is unnoticeable to the touch, but very effective, no rust.
  16. Got last year’s buck mounted up this week too.
  17. Didn’t feel like turkey hunting this morning in the 34 degree temps with 20mph wind, so decided to pull stumps instead.
  18. When I was looking for used boats several years ago, there were a good number of Yamahas on craigslist, so you might check there, that will also give you a glimpse of resale/depreciation. The Yamahas I’m familiar with have two engines, so kind of double the maintenance in some ways. I remember seeing some listed with engines out. FYI You can’t really set jet boats up for surfing (from what folks have told me). Is the water shallow by your place or are you just worried about LBJ in general?
  19. My roses are having a nice start this year, very little blackspot, lots of blooms
  20. Good point. I always double up earplugs and muffs at indoor ranges.
  21. Is the 454 coming with the all the accessories?: : )
