  1. Netflix (deservedly so) gets full credit for generating great content over the last few years. And then there's garbage like this. Guess everyone deserves a hall pass. Texas caricatures and cliches can be capitalized upon in quality fashion. See Mike Judge. In this case it was a failure and a show that was pretty much unwatchable despite Malin's 24/7 Open For Business sign on her vagina.
  2. The rescue piece was done within 24 hours. It's been search for remains since. Two (reported) are still out there with dwindling likelihood they'll be found. KENS in San Antonio has been the most reliable reporting entity through this entire tragedy. It's been reporting 117 Kerr County deaths for awhile now.
  3. Two (reported) are still missing, both from Mystic - a camper from Austin and an adult. A month+ into things and this just has to be brutal for those families. I don't know how many are still on the ground searching but we're well into that territory that they may never be located, similar to what we saw in Wimberley. Just continue to hope.
  4. Even better group photo. My.

  6. Yup, Jennifer was always runner-up.
  7. Yeah, the power of that water and the vast level of destruction can't be appreciated until you see it yourself. It truly is incredible. Good on you for volunteering. The work wears you out physically and emotionally with the latter being the worst - just something you don't quite expect. Sounds like you didn't make it to the memorial on Water Street. That breaks one as much as anything especially seeing those hardened search and rescue workers openly weeping. As one of them said to me: "This humanizes our entire process." You may not feel like you made a dent but it's true that all of the contributions add up. It's also true that your experience and the things you saw aren't going anywhere - going to be seared in your mind for a long time to come.
  8. Antones, 1987.
  9. Great read on a Coast Guard search and rescue team: https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2025/07/31/a-nightmare-the-coast-guards-harrowing-flight-to-camp-mystic/
  10. Dildo had a better chance of going into the basket than the two shots taken.
  11. Been awhile since I've seen a picture of Kelly.
  12. Retirement lunches at Chuy's? Not sure if that speaks to how little the employee was thought of, how shitty this guy's standards are, or both.
  13. Still three missing / unaccounted for? Haven't seen an update in some time.
  14. If only we could say the same about the actual justice that'll be rendered. The Cro-Magnon will post bail within 12 hours and commence the process of being a piece of shit to someone else.
  15. Premiered yesterday. Nat Geo.
  16. The one guy is right about the street where everyone gets drunk and tries to kill each other.
  17. Amazing. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Outstanding pics. The little postcard op on Punta Sur is so good with that background / shades of blue. Glad you enjoyed.
  19. Young Andy seems destined to follow in grandpa's steps.
  20. I had not seen this timelapse infrared imagery. The explosion of the system during the early morning of July 4 is incredible. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/transcoded/5/54/202507_GOES-19_ABI_SECTOR_sp_Band_14_(July_2025_Central_Texas_floods)_Output5Band14.webm/202507_GOES-19_ABI_SECTOR_sp_Band_14_(July_2025_Central_Texas_floods)_Output5Band14.webm.1080p.vp9.webm
