  1. I’ve given up. My newly licensed daughter does the same thing
  2. Had something similar happen with rec volleyball. Girls went to a camp in Jacksonville and the program needed coaches to help out so their rec coach went. Long story short, he was invited to bring a team to some of their rec tournaments. Figured it would be a good experience for the girls who wanted to do it. Paid the fees, ordered jerseys, etc. it was going to be four one day tournaments. Went to the first one (one other rec team from Orlando was also invited, in a separate bracket). We were playing 17u, oldest girl on our squad was 15, youngest was 13 (they had been playing up a level for a year or two). Needless to say, both of the out of town teams destroyed every local team (one of my kids matches was 25-3, 25-5, 15-2) A month goes by, coach reached out Wednesday prior to the next tournament to see if he can get the schedule. Turns out the other coaches said if the two out of town teams were coming, they wouldn’t show so we were ‘disinvited’ and a check was in the mail for the remaining fees.
  3. I had an area manager come into my office one time and say her computer was locked up and asked if I could take a peek at it. Having been away from the desktop support side of IT for a while I told her I’d take a peek (she was good looking), but most likely she’d need to wait for a Tier 2 guy to come in. Her computer was at the ‘Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to logon’ screen. Her: please tell me this has happened before Me: shakes head as walking out door
  4. Guess who handed me a bag full of gluten free shit to throw away last night..... I didn’t say a word, just grinned. She was less than appreciative.
  5. We held on to my wife’s car for my daughter to drive when she turned 16 (no pics). Last week she turned 16 and started to clean out her mothers crap (which has been in there for 6 months or more since she drove it regularly) Daughter was calling mom a hoarder (true) and making fun of what she found in there. I just smiled because she hast realized there’s a trunk attached to the car. The trunk is crammed full of bags of clothes that my wife was going to donate a year or so ago (I know this because I told her to get that shit out of my garage where it sat for 6 months prior). So a year in Florida heat and humidity will probably cause my daughter to throw up when she finally finds the trunk and opens it up. TL;DR: All wives are hoarders.
  6. When my kids were little and my wife was away, my goal was to wear them out as quickly as possible as well.
  7. My wife went through a horrible period with migraines. Tried new eyeglasses, meds, you name it. The Dr had upped her meds to the point where she almost couldn’t function. Her boss sent her to his massage guy. Immediate relief. We were able to wean her back off all the meds except for her daily dose she had already been on before all of this happened. She goes every couple of months and no migraines. She sent me. I cussed up a storm for an hour and was sore for two weeks afterward. Hadn’t felt that good in a while.
  8. So mostly finished painting the outside of the house. It was a combination of brush, roller, and spraying. My wife did most of the brushwork, kept asking why the brush I used was so much easier to clean and not covered with paint all the way up to the handle. Me: Tone I bought shitty brushes for her figuring they would be single use. Every morning I just handed her a new one.
  9. So when does the new washer arrive?
  10. We like to party, what more can I say
  11. I give you Fecanos, lol. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Hit 19 years in Jan. Guess neither of us cared that much about girls/boys nights out when we were younger, and both of us believe busy kids stay out of trouble, so we’ve been too exhausted the past decade hauling teenagers around to practices and games. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Ok, syrup wife must be hot because she’s crazy. My wife can’t stand seafood (loves to fish/scallop). Can’t stand the smell. She knows the UF/LSU game is full Cajun food and sucks it up. The phone thing she used to do (along with two kids in VB on two teams each) so every night requires a lot of planning. She’d be on with her sister or mom. She knows if I call her, it’s important since I don’t call her to chat. There are no girls nights out, that belongs in the stupid shit husbands allow thread. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Yep. I can be 100 miles from home and I use GPS. Wife tries to give me shit but when the traffic alert pops up, well worth it.
  15. Became a member today while out of town at my kids travel VB tournament (no pics). We ate lunch. Got to the convention center early so they went in and I took advantage of a quick nap. Made it 30 feet on my way in before it coughed and ruined my shorts. Called the wife en route to the condo for a shower and change of clothes, can’t wait until I’m confident enough to head back there and face the other parents—I have no doubt in my mind she told them why I missed the first two matches.
  16. So my wife has been having stomach issues (whatever that means), and thinks it might be gluten related. Maybe packing your lunch instead of take out every day at work would be a better start but what do I know........ I now have a ton of gluten free food in the house that the kids and I won’t eat and she won’t cook or take to work (because takeout). Guess what I’ll be throwing away shortly. 17. Update: $40 and 15 minute wait. She will be home to take the girls to practice. I won this battle but lost the war when we got married. It’s all good. 20 years and we haven’t killed each other yet.
  18. Wife just called telling me she locked her keys in the car. Told her to call a locksmith, not driving an hour there and back during rush hour. ‘But the kids have practice at 6’ Yep. And they miss it entirely if I went to take her a key. I can drive the kids to practice. Tone
  19. Probably more than 2k of stuff but even so, you’ll spend more in time, money, and frustration trying to get anything back, everything probably went with the sale of the shop.
  20. Back when I was a kid and stocked at a grocery store. Lactaid came out. Until then the case was your basic 4 milks, whipping cream, and half and half. I just shake my head walking by a milk case now, amazing how much bs marketing has done to it.
  21. Gas talk not going away. Nobody’s wives put gas in their car.
  22. I swear my wife doesn’t know that you can set a stovetop to anything other than high. She made hash browns last night using the refrigerated ones. Half of them were burnt to the pan and what she was able to scrape out was mostly raw. Pans still soaking......
  23. My wife does the same thing except she doesn’t throw it away, she would just put it back in the closet, then buy more and put it in the closet as well.....
