  1. Reminds me of the time mine brought home a twin pack of butts because she wanted pulled pork. For dinner It was 4pm
  2. Three sitting in brown sugar, garlic, onion, cajun seasoning brine for smoking, 6 others thawed and ready to fry.
  3. The first time I brined a turkey I made a mess when I sliced it. There was so much moisture in the bird, it overflowed the pan and ran off the counter onto the floor. It was way juicer than previous smoked turkeys. I just order brining bags off amazon, put the bird in with brine, then load them all up in a cooler with ice for a few days.
  4. Just bought 6 of those for next week, last year I bought the other flavor by mistake and had to make my own injection. Had to go to Walmart at 6am on thanksgiving to get stuff to make it, wasn’t crowded (which was awesome), there was a fight on the aisle next to me (which was awesomer)
  5. Armybrat pretty much covered reasonable changes. Funny that the same people accusing gun owners of making a ‘emotional’ decision on a logical problem are also making their own emotional decisions on a logical problem. There are changes most gun owners would be fine with, however they should be married with enforcement of existing laws. When I hear ‘we have to ban all guns’, there’s no discussion needed. First off that’s a totally emotional and unrealistic viewpoint. It’s never going to happen, exemptions will be made for hunters, farmers, people that have a legitimate need for one, so the people that own them legally now will continue to do so. The people that illegally own guns now won’t give a crap and will also continue to do so. Beto’s ‘we’ll make it against the law for people to have them’ also fails. It’s against the law already to kill people. It’s against the law for felons, mentally ill people (NTIIAWWT), violent people, underage people, etc. These are existing laws WE DONT ENFORCE TODAY. So once again, it would be, at best, an emotional response. In my opinion: - gun show transfers should require a background check - if I sell a gun F2F with someone I don’t know, i pay for the background check. If I sell to a guy I’ve known for years, I don’t. If I give a gun to a family member, I don’t. I’m not sure how we can put laws in place that don’t make it burdensome. - parental responsibility-there’s laws in place for that. There’s owners that do everything right and sometimes it just happens. I’ve never given childbirth (well I’m a guy), I just have to go by what my wife tells me and go from there. When someone that has never hunted, owned, or fired a gun tells me how it should be, I kinda look at them the same way my wife looked after me when I asked where my dinner was. I know it’s with the best of intentions, but come on man.
  6. The socks are awesome, especially for safe queens.
  7. I would drape my underwear over everything and declare it a decoration.
  8. I can see Gainesville over Tallahassee, but Orlando, Tampa, and Miami have more to offer.
  9. About to do that as well, not looking forward to moving that beast, twice. REALLY not looking forward to the wifey asking where all the extra guns game from but there’s no way I’m going to be able to move it without emptying it first.
  10. I have replaced both of my toilets with American Standard Champion models (I’m not the bidet type). They advertise that they can flush a basket of golf balls and while I haven’t tested it, I have yet to use a plunger since. I’m a pretty big guy with a pretty crappy diet, so prior to these I’ve been known to clog a toilet up. Often. I don’t even know if I have a plunger anymore and am not concerned, these thing have handled anything thrown their way.
  11. Or in the few times I’ve watched her unload it, she pulls the bottom drawer out, doesn’t unload anything, then pulls the top drawer out so the plastic crap drips water on the bottom rack?
  12. Been a while since I posted so thought of this thread today. Unloaded the dishwasher (the appliance) today and noticed out of the 30-40 prongs on the bottom tray, at least ten are noticeably bent. It’s not the kids, don’t think they know we even have a dishwasher.
  13. We’re on month 2 of no eggs, Florida heat. They are just ungrateful bitches to me at this point. Half of them (depending on their breed, all mixed) used to run up to be petted. Now they run up in case I have food (outside of their feed on the coop), and then act like I’m the asshole.
  14. I need to find one of those, my hens haven’t laid for over a month. Yes they were molting, but I want to take the hit and start over. Unfortunately my wife has named each and every one so my hands are tied.
  15. Anyone considering marriage should real all of Mr. Cumsteens posts.
  16. Florida is playing over their heads but I’ll take the wins. LSU game will be rocking for sure.
  17. My daughters school incubated eggs years ago. She called my wife at work and asked if she could keep hers if it hatched..... We usually keep around 10 hens and get more eggs than we can possibly eat. We always get sexed chicks and try not to have two of the same breed. Needless to say we have many different egg colors and all the hens have names (so no chance of eating them). Super easy to take care of, they run free in the backyard and put themselves to bed in their coops at night. The first couple of years I’d close them up at night and let them out in the morning, but we’re in the middle of a neighborhood with a privacy fence, the only one that was killed was due to the numerous hawks around here.
  18. My wife did this with rice. Didn’t realize the pot wasn’t in until she started pouring water in. I can still shake rice out of it almost a year later.
  19. Lot of great tips here. It IS Florida so have ponchos and be ready for afternoon showers. They are usually over quick and once done, the parks are much emptier.
  20. LSU and Auburn. I don’t see four losses unless Franks regresses big time. UGA will probably be a loss even though we played them better than the final score was last year. LSU is still LSU, even with Coach O and I’m sure they really want that win. Auburn always seems to have our number when we play them. FSU is a dumpster fire, some of us wanted Taggart as HBC, I don’t think I could have handled a third bad coaching decision in a row. Miami is a question mark, they have talent, just new coach and first game of the season so I’m not overly concerned with that match up. Mullen might flame out, might bring us back. He did as well as anyone can do at Miss State. Last season was the first season in a long time that I could watch the offense without expecting the worst.
  21. We did yard work Sunday, she did this, then threw weeds that she pulled all over the tangles. I was not happy and let it be known
  22. I hate trash Jenga with a passion. Sometimes I play it but at the end of the day, I work from home and get tired of looking at it. Sometimes is makes it to the can if she takes it out, most of the time it’s in the garage, in the corner, 2 feet from where the can is outside. Yes, we have a garage door opener (humblebrag)
