  1. I have the kitchen aid grinder and it does an OK job, it’s just kinda slow. I’ve debated getting a stand alone one, if I can crank out a lot at one time then vac seal/freeze, might be worth it
  2. Add me to the list of fans. Had it for years and it’s great knowing when the kids got home (and making sure they closed the garage door behind them. It came with my new opener (belt drive w battery backup), it’s so quiet, I wouldnt know the door was operating without the app alerts.
  3. A Trump/Biden debate will be must watch TV. I hope this crap is over so they can do it in person, it will be epic.
  4. Last I read was it reduces $50 for every 1k over ther $75k/$150k Doesn’t meant t will be in the final bill though
  5. Not sure if I’ll make the cut on receiving anything, if so I plan on blowing it all at local mom and pop places. AC compressor is starting to go on my truck so 1k is going to my local auto shop either way. There’s a couple of non-chain restaurants that I frequent. I’ll probably order takeout and throw in a couple of hundred dollar tip at each place.
  6. Bought my 73 year old mom the Husqvarna model, she was using electric and dragging an extension cord over her 2 acre yard. It’s a little heavier but she really likes it. She didn’t want gas because she has a hard time starting them.
  7. Just relaying what he was told. Apparently the one he had was made in China
  8. I know I’m getting some when wifey cranks both sides up to 100
  9. Avoid craftsman. After decades of being a faithful consumer, I had nothing but anger towards my last one. Apparently this model used different parts (blades, belts, etc) than any other Craftsman 42” rider. After the drive belt went and the part I ordered to fix it was wrong, I went and picked up a 3 blade Husqvarna and should have done it sooner. Do not buy Husqvarna with Koehler engines though unless you like to report it every couple of years—my neighbor had one with a Chinese engine, shop replaced the first one under warranty but basically told him to expect the new one to last about as long as the old one. He dumped it while it was working and bought the same one with a B&S engine.
  10. I’ve got an 18” and 20” Craftsman and a 24” Husqvarna. The husky is great for trunks, but will wear you out using it for anything else. I use ethanol free gas for all of my small engine stuff with stabil. There might be a bit of a drive to find marine gas in your area, but it’s worth it. Run your chainsaws dry after use unless you know you’re using it within the next couple of days.
  11. I’d try updating your drivers first, DHCP hasn’t really changed much in 20+ years (except for the introduction of IPv6). If this is the only device doing this on the network, I doubt it’s the router (unless you installed the routers connection manager on your laptop—never do that—it’s just going to fight your built in wireless manager all the time) That being said, routers (especially off the shelf home ones) do tend to flake out after a few years and it could be starting to go. If you’re putting it to sleep instead of powering it off and going back and forth between wireless networks, there will be a brief period when it comes back up expecting to be on the prior network. Once it realizes that Wi-Fi connection is no longer available, it should connect to your home network automatically and request an IP. This should be pretty quick and transparent. There could also be a malware issue.
  12. Does anyone else’s wife buy the cheapest, most useless band aids? My kids just come to me for one out of my stash now.....
  13. Been married 20 years, I have learned to be very specific on what I want her to bring me. One time she brought me a hot dog from somewhere. I asked her if she thought I was 5.
  14. Back when they only gave you one, my wife handed it to me and said I was our last hope for a discount
  15. I’d use it to make it even bigger, then invite ALL the kids over. Every damn day.
  16. We’re on our second (#1 was original model). My wife loves it, I’ve slept on better(and also on a lot worse). It is nice to be able to adjust my side if I’m sore from the olds and they have come a long way—no more dip in the middle like the old ones, seem to provide better overall support. Had it for a few years now and it’s just like it was when new. Wait for them to go on sale though.
  17. Wife woke me up in the middle of the night because she thought I was dead. Said I was cold and wasn’t snoring. I guess she prefers me snoring.
  18. 15d: “I didn’t want you to come back home, mom let’s us do whatever we want.... you’re more fun than mom.” Same general conversation
  19. I forgot they did kegs, hauled many of those out for a customer back in the day!
  20. Love Publix but they did go downhill somewhat when they expanded out of Florida and diluted their experienced employees many years ago. The culture changed from a family type, employee owned company to a large chain (still employee owned though).
  21. I know the feeling, my patio was always covered in chicken shit until we had a pool installed and screened in. I don’t miss those days one bit.
  22. I only buy Anker cables, they charge fast and last quite a while. They aren’t the cheapest but probably save money long term due to their durability. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. . Worth keeping unopened or use for bang bang.
